Thanks for all the help. I think that I got it. I went into my NAT settings again and this time I just set up the forwarded ports as TCP only and not TCP/UDP. As soon as I did that it worked like a charm. Thanks for leading me in the right direction seanbuff.

Not sure if this is the right spot where to request this. .. Nevertheless can we please add the feature for embyserver. Pretty much ro setup a pause timeout limit . so if a user put a video/movie on pause for more than xyz timeout limit would kick them back to the video/movie home page... To the best of my knowledge tvdb primarily only lists the original VAs (Japanese).

I tried to download from the client Emby, and it seems my vpn's upload speed is only 300KB/s. Sorry for the meaningless post here, I think the problem is fixed(at least I know it's not my setup problem now)

Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is to create an image from the video, and put it inside the folder so that there are two elements.

This sounded interesting to me, so I started looking around. I found this chrome extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/easy-scraper-one-click-we/cljbfnedccphacfneigoegkiieckjndh However, I could only get it to scrape the top 25 entries on the table view. After some tinkering, I figured out that was unable to scroll and get the next entries. However I found an easy workaround. I just zoomed out to 20% on the Device page and then clicked the extension. Boom, done. I say it is a workaround only because I think this is something that might/should be added to the Reports plugin or baked into the server. Heck, if it written to a log file somewhere, that would be good enough (I think) for us to analyze the data.

Sorry you wanted the landing tab and I don't believe there is a way as you have Theme or enable backdrops. @LighthammerThere have been so many changes over the years as my primary server is still using the images in my Genre folder but if I make changes it migrates/saves to Genres folder. So depending on how old your database is you could be using different folders but the UI will always save to the proper location and can see it in debug logging. 2025-05-07 08:53:33.076 Debug SqliteItemRepository: GetitemById Genre 207927 A:\Emby-Server\metadata\Genre\Crime 2025-05-07 08:53:33.078 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to A:\Emby-Server\metadata\genres\Crime\fanart.png But had no issue saving a backdrop via Genre edit image on that genre and applying a backdrop to make it work assuming you have backdrops disabled as it will utilize library backdrops if you do. Hide all media to show the backdrop. But key is you cannot have backdrops enabled.

I got it to work somehow with the old monitor, no idea how. Everything with a display that can handle 1080p is still 1080p minimum. Starting to think it's the "AI" upscaling on the shield. Anyway.. Not going to loose more time messing with it. Many thanks for the help though.

That particular option will always ask for the user to re-authenticate (as you're seeing). @Lukehas already stated that there needs to be an additional option that remembers logged in users. Any update on this Luke? Android app remains the same also.

Hey Luke, Yeah, I've been browsing the forums all day. I just fixed it though; best I can tell, there is something different when mounting the drive under /media versus /mnt. This is a brand new build, so those permissions were at their defaults. 1) umounted /dev/sdb1 2) made a new directory at /mnt/embybackup 3) ran "chmod 777 /mnt/embybackup (at this point the folder turned green in the console) 4) mounted the USB drive again "sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/embybackup" 5) verified the mountpoint was set with lsblk 6) kicked off the Emby Server Backup Scheduled Task and it started, I looked in the folder and saw the folder "embyserver-backup-full" and a folder 'Emby Server Databases - <current date> Is this going to do a Full Backup every time, or are there incremental backups?

Seems I was going in the wrong place. I was just going into TV Shows, seeing In Progress TV Shows and selecting from there. I did not go through the plugin and manually selecting it like you've stated. Since I'm using Arctic Fuse 2, I'll have to ask them about that, as it shows correctly in the way you've stated. This is the same for my other problem (just using the skin's feature for Movies or TV and not going into the plugin), looking at the plugin (via the way you showed), it works as intended. Using the default Movies/TV Shows option in the skin, does doesn't always update. I'll take to them about it. Thank you for your help and your time and sorry to waste it.

Dunno if this helps. A load to read through yes. I still have this from my OLD cache rules - which are done in the rules/page rules. But I no longer play through CF (see end of this post for what I do now). My CF is also connected via a tunnel - not that it matters to the config. The *'s are very critical to NOT cache - but as I said, all this videos stuff is redirected direct now and bypassing CF so the cache it not really relevent - but I leave it there in case of rollback to CF - which I had to do recently when my reverse proxy had an issue - it was simply a disable of the redirect rules. I never had all that other stuff you have in yours. But that said, a user on here @horsePDF led me down a route that means I am not breaking any TOS for CF, and I can also have all the waf rules they provide. This does mean you need a non CF DNS record to redirect too, plus need a reverse proxy. I have found it is the best of both worlds. Its basically a catch to see if you are actually playing a video, and if you are, then it uses a redirect to go direct to the reverse proxy that is ONLY listening for this redirect URL so is quite safe. My CF traffic went from 800-1TB/month to 10-30GB. This config was all posted - search @horsePDF as it was his initial idea/design, I just ran with it and modified it for my use case - so all credit to him for the idea. For what its worth, I dont only run Emby via CF - I have many other things.

Haven't had time to start working on this yet. Can't provide an ETA, but I hope I can have a look at it in the coming months.

Hi, currently if you download a playlist, ,it will download the items in the playlist but not the actual playlist. This is something we plan to support in future updates. Thanks for the feedback.

Personally, I wouldn't run Emby on anything but bare metal with native access to the CPU and GPU. While others may have success with running it in a VM or Docker, that's just another variable with infinite settings/options which can affect the outcome. Running on my very old hardware, Emby can transcode anything I throw at it (as long as I use the max_muxing_queue_size override).

Hello Everyone, Has anyone else noticed that the 'Movie Theme Songs' plugin downloads random content instead of the correct theme songs? I have been storing some Kim Ki-duk movies recently, and this plugin has been downloading random music from the internet that has no relation to the movie. This hasn’t happened rarely with only Korean movies or that have generic names, but even with Hollywood movies that have unique names, such as The Royal Tenenbaums, instead of not downloading anything at all, it downloads something randomly. When I checked using online tools and AI, I found that the downloaded theme had no relation to the movie.

A few years late, but I ran into this (still an issue with the official image not containing the tzselect package); There is a nice workaround (if you want the container to maintain the same TZ as the host, anyway) by adding these volume mappings: - /etc/timezone:/etc/timezone:ro - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro

Because I need to show my users “Recently released movies and TV series（Tv shows）”. For movies, there is an option of "Recently Released Movies" on the Home screen, but there is no such option for TV series. So, dear Emby team, could you please add a "Recently Released Tv shows" option on the Home screen?

I have successfully downloaded my entire music library of 2,600 songs to my iPhone 14 Pro from my Emby server. However, I can't seem to also download a separate playlist. My entire library is over 2,600 songs but my "workout playlist" is a much smaller subset of my entire library consisting of only around 300 songs. Does anyone know if there is a way to download BOTH your music library AND a distinct playlist to your phone? When I am working out, I would prefer to only listen to certain types of songs and dont want to have to keep hitting the skip forward button five or six times every time a new song starts playing until I find something appropriate. Many thanks in advance.
