There are some challenges as well with being able to click play or shuffle on the collection and being able to expand the items from the collection into a list of media, all within the context of a single database query and while supporting all of the content restriction features that we support. It is already extremely complex, and so to take that and then add the requirement of collections within collections would be a job. I think if it were reenabled at the api level, I'd be 50/50 about whether or not they'd actually play as you'd expect them to.

Current WIP Full TMDB integration with auto suggestion search and meta data info (alternate option ontop of manually adding a poster) Plan to integrate radarr API to match to the root path of the movie you searched/added and have it save as poster.jpg in the movie folder path so emby auto populates the new image.

An updated version of the Emby Open Subtitles plugin is currently rolling out. We have switched from opensubtitles.org to the newer opensubtitles.com This means you will need to create an account on opensubtitles.com and configure that in Emby Server settings. I have searched the Feature Requests thread, and I know similar requests have been made, but only for general karaoke support with people requesting support for old depreciated formats as .mid and .kar. CDG+MP3 is by far the most common file format in Karaoke, and also the format used by most professionals. The sound and music quality is by far superior to the midi based file formats. CDG+MP3 is also directly supported in Ffmpeg, and can be transcoded on the fly using a simple command. The video format is only 300x216 (304x224 buffer dimension) so transcoding it would be very cpu friendly. The Ffmpeg command to convert the file is as follows: ffmpeg -copyts -i "01 - Rihanna - Russian Roulette.cdg" -i "01 - Rihanna - Russian Roulette.mp3" -b:v 1M -y "01 - Rihanna - Russian Roulette.MP4" This will force a 1meg video.. I don't know if that is a necessity, as it will produce a larger file than if you omit the -b:v 1M -y option.. The -copyts is there to ignore timestamps in the files, as sometimes this will induce a sync issue with the lyrics shown. Works flawlessly. Now, cdg+mp3 files are normally stored in .zip files to keep them together and for easy management. If there is a problem unzipping and using the files then deleting them after use, I see no problem unzipping the files and leaving them as pairs on the server.. The zipping is purely for ease of use and does not offer much of a space requirement reduction. Please consider this, as a Karaoke Jockey as a side gig, I know a lot of people enjoy this, and in these covid times, no shows are held, and people need entertaining. I serve my immediate family and friends with content, and to be able to add karaoke singing on the fly with emby would be a valuable addition. Best regards, dexus.

Made a small plugin that integrates JellySeerr directly into Emby so you can search in Jellyseerr directly from Emby. It has some limitations like only working in the web version of Emby but it's working (for me at least). Please keep in mind i'm a total noob at programming so if it doesn't work for you then that might be the reason Use it, change the code, or what ever.. hallo guys, I have iPhone 16 with the latest iOS version. When I use the Emby app to play movies . I exit the app then the movie plays Picture in Picture mode . But the problem is when I go back to the Emby app the screen turns black and the movie still playing. Anyone have a fix for this issue

well, I did figure out the problem, I had my jellyfin rules still in place and they were causing conflicts. Thank you for helping

What exactly happens when clicking the first green link in your dialog above? Are you sure Emby server is running on the server machine?

Yes I changed to scan and scheduled task and now it worked. But strange that it didn't work when running scheduled task after refreshing metadata. Thank you for the help!

Lol, I'd settle for switching to play automatically 30 seconds before Live TV.

Just because would cause transcoding on some platforms isn't a reason to leave it as an indefinite "it's definitely something we can look at." As this thread indicates, a lot of people would like this functionality, and it's part of many other streaming/player platforms.

So you want us to pay more for waiting 5 years? In terms of "strategic roll out plans, isn't 5 years long enough to have strategies, rolled out, debugged and mopped up? Krs Mark

I can confirm this working, thank you @Lessaj! It's a very time consuming process, it makes no sense that we need to do this just to change paths. This should be possible through UI, where you just change the path and save it, Emby should be able to do the rest easily.

Start from scratch, create your users, use the plugin to extract user data, create your libraries. As long as you've set your library up similarly it should be fairly quick to rescan all the items, additional time may be needed if using intro skip + video previews as well, moreso around intro skip if video previews are also stored next to the media since I think intro skip is still stored within the metadata folder otherwise certainly the preview thumbnails is the slowest part.

I've just realized that on my system after a certain build my system get blocked during plugin run and i have to force reboot system. I don't know why, maybe is the check with emby library? For example Build 132 is ok, build 145 blocks the system. I don't know from which build i have this problem. And i don't know how to understand the reason as logs just stop. I'm on ubuntu. I'll try to investigate

Still problem in iOS 18.3.2 and emby 2.2.37 when returning to emby from picture in picture and turning to landscape mode the picture goes black.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for. As stated earlier, if I set a show up to record with my IPTV, it will record about 5 minutes of the show and stop recording. I have a separate program that I set up, NextPVR, and it records fine. Another thing I noticed is when I watch live IPTV channels, they will sometimes freeze after playing about 5 minutes. Not sure if the two are related issues. I have a HDHomerun tuner also and I don't think it does it with that. I'm going to test it out again and see.

I Think adding Karaoke and CD Graphics support to Emby would be great for parties :) What do you think ?
