Okay, well for me at least my TV didn't seem to cause the problem. However, the Shield screensaver does this for me. Don't even have to wait, just click start now on the Shield's screensaver setting and you can hear the sound of the movie start playing and it looks like the app restarts and reopens at the home screen. Probably why I've got mine set to the max time and set the option to not start when playing music.

With College Football and NFL seasons starting up in the States, a multi-screen option for Live TV would be a nice addition to the Emby feature set. I am thinking of what the WatchESPN app offers thru their Web Browser access. The ability to open a multi-screen window that breaks into four (4) screens that allows you to select streams (Live or Replay) for each and then go full screen. Audio is from whichever of the four screens you have as active. I can accomplish the same right now with the HDHomeRun Quick View TV app. I open multiple instances of the Windows app and then snap them to each corner on my 110" projector screen. Equivalent of four (4) 55" screens. Would be nice if this were a remote friendly option from within Emby Theater and the WebUI clients. I have only seen it in Web Browsers at the moment and not any of the Win10 UWP apps (FS GO, NBCSn, WatchESPN). Isn't the Roku defaulted to 40Mbps? &VideoBitrate=40680000&AudioBitrate=320000 &TranscodeReasons=ContainerBitrateExceedsLimit So users are required to set to higher playback quality for all content over 40Mbps. But yes we know these limit can be exceeded but from a dev standpoint should be the baseline.

It all depends on how big your libraries are (watches) and how many files you add/change at any one time (instances). Try a number and if you still get errors bump it up again. Every movie you add can easily be 15 or more (counting each folder, subfolder, and file). If you like your extrafanart and bif files it can really add up fast.

Really from a music standpoint there is no editing metadata in Emby as embedded is always used. So next scan/probe of tracks really would override UI unless you potentially locked stuff.

Without server logs it is hard to say as the how to sort of has to set it to max values. But yes there are lot of different variable that can be used.

So this appeared to be provider specific. Thank you again for your help. I am looking at other providers.

With the exception of a couple OSes, I wish every customer who is past the "newb" stage would run the beta, as a 2nd instance used for testing. Steps to Run a Second Emby Server Instance: Download: Download the portable Emby Server ZIP file: https://emby.media/download Extract: Extract the ZIP file to C:\EmbyPortable. Shutdown Existing Server: Safely shut down your existing Emby Server instance. Start Portable Version: Navigate to the C:\EmbyPortable folder. Double-click EmbyServer.exe to launch the second Emby Server instance. Login: Log in to the portable Emby server using your newly created admin credentials. Port Change: Navigate to the "Network" settings in the Emby web interface for the portable server. Change the Local & Public HTTP ports (non-secure) to 8097. Change the Local & Public HTTPS ports (secure) to 8921. Restart Portable Server: Save the changes and then restart the portable Emby Server instance. Restart Production Server: Once the portable server is back online, restart your existing production Emby Server instance. You can run multiple servers this way on the same computer. Quando o teste vencer o usuário é excluído automaticamente, e se ele tentar um novo teste não consegue mais, quando ele vai solicitar o teste é enviado um código de verificação para ele, e ele digita o código durante a solicitação do teste para garantir que não é um robô. No. I have Emby LiveTV setup for my remote kids to watch a few streams since they are setup to use it already for recordings. For my TV viewing I have TiviMate go to my IPTV provider directly (m3u and xmltv files). TiviMate provides a much richer experience than Emby for Live TV, whereas Emby shines at playing movie and tv show recordings IMO.

Just to point out that Connect isn't an alternative route for the connection, just a lookup. If a direct connection is failing, then Connect won't help. Has your ISP put you on cgNAT? Paul

Just following up here - I think this may have been a ram issue - I was having this issue a couple of times per day and restarting the server temporarily solved it. I added an additional 8GB ram today (16GB total) and have not had the issue yet today which is much better than the last few days so I suspect the issue may be fixed. I'll continue to monitor and update if this changes but for now if anyone else comes across this - consider adding RAM.

It's not a mere "update" to Live TV - it's a completely new implementation from scratch both improving on current features and also adding many new features. Paul

Hello, This has happened for as long as I've used emby but I just cannot deal with it anymore, hence asking for help here. There is something very strange with my live tv channel ordering. When I move one channel from one position to another one, it causes part of the channel list to be totally messed up. Here is an example: Before: I move the channel DK4 Danmark FHD DK to one position above TV 3 MAX FHD DK You can see that both DK4 Danmark FHD DK and TV 3 MAX FHD DK have moved somewhere else! They are actually now higher in the list, not even next to each other! This is driving me crazy as it is making organizing my channels a nightmare. Can you please have a look? As you can see, I already employ great use of folder structure to achieve the control and effect I wish to have for users. (see first SS). My thinking was to be able to create a rating limit via that section. I was hoping it might be possible to specify the rating of each user by each specific library, as opposed to the one shown in the second SS. However, i completely understand if that would be too big an undertaking, and thank you for reading/replying. Bag to the tag bin I go.

That's the part I'm missing. The only way that would help you is if the items you think don't rate properly happen to all be in a specific library. I don't really see that as all that common... For a 2 year old, I would either use a strategy of restricting everything except a certain tag or use the file system folder-based access control (which could have the added benefit of keeping a bunch of baby Einstein videos out of your home screen). We already have so many ways to control content visibility that I hesitate to make it even more complex.

Sure, sorry if it wasn't clear. I'll try to keep it brief. I created a user account for a 2 year old. I then limited the libraries they have access to. Within those libraries, I instituted parental controls via their profile to only be able to see G rated items. They have access to Children's TV Library, Family Movies, and Animated Shows Library. Some of the shows or movies that are actually rated higher than G are things they've watched before and are OK. The problem is that with those 3 libraries, all kids shows are fine, but not all movies are fine even with the same rating. Being able to stipulate a different parental control per library could solve this without my having to tag everything and use tags, as that is a lot of work. Of course, any way to achieve this in an easier fashion is more than welcome. Thank you so much.
