  2. Unfortunately I'm not particularly familiar with the correct way to pass the GPU to docker, I just run Emby natively on CentOS Stream 9, but what I would check from the host level at least is to ensure that you're using the Nvidia driver, I know they have a new open source driver but I still install the one from their website, and make sure nvidia-smi is working and reporting output. You should not need the nvidia-cuda-toolkit, cuda is included with the Nvidia driver.

  3. Likely very unwise as the DMZ zone will be an unfirewalled zone on the router. Yes you will likely have a firewall on the emby 'server' but you really shouldn't put services in the DMZ zone unless you really have to.

  6. Hi, The metadata lookup for audio books is not that great.. I did a little googling and found that someone has written one for plex: https://github.com/macr0dev/Audiobooks.bundle Was just wondering if someone who knew what they were doing could port this or write something similar for audiobooks? Thanks in advance Shenn

  9. @intermanonce it gets recorded it just becomes a normal tv series in your library. These typically don't have sorting controls although I can see how that would be useful here.

  10. Did you read thru the HW accel guide for Nvidia? It's step by step and states to not use the drivers from distro repos but to get them directly from Nvidia.

  11. Well need to ask if you rebooted after first, install of the card. Some linux distro need a reboot to properly install new drivers.

  13. So i spent some time digging today... figured out the issue and wanted to post for anyone in the future who comes across this. Turns out my overlays were too large. I made the assumption that the plugin would see the image and resize accordingly so to get the best quality i used larger images. i knocked them down to under 100x100 and everything started working as expected.

  14. I deeply appreciate the attentiveness. I knew the clock was ticking. But there were things I had to do and didn't get to upload in time... I can upload if the token can be reenabled. But, do you still want them? Meaning wondering if still needed after the advancements I've seen in Emby app -- both Beta and Release that I see now plays AC4 audio too -- and I'm guessing enhancements put into the Emby Server Beta to handle it too -- I'm running the latest at the time I write this, 4.9.0.37. As when watching live or recordings of the worse offending channel -- WABC-HD, 107.1 in NYC -- a/v is in-sync. Yes, the delay is embedded in the video if one watches recordings in VLC. But what Emby Server streams to the app when only transcoding the audio, the a/v can be in-sync, w/a caveat (below). I spent a few hours over the weekend recording snippets of 4 different programs via 3 different means: by Emby, by HDHomeRun app, by the means you directed thru Chrome browser for HTTP download. And when watching them thru Emby the a/v is now in-sync with the caveat I MUST maximize the Emby app. When watching in a movable window a/v is still out of sync. But that, I can deal with! So please advise if you think your team is good on this side. But it you want the recordings I made via the three different mechanisms, I have them and will upload them after you IM me a new link to re-enable the previous one. Thanx again.

  15. There is really no need to ask this question until after 4.9 is released and a new beta cycle is started. Thanks.

  16. @SShzinI have referred all the diagnostics I have captured to the development team. Clearly there is an issue there. Thank you for providing the samples and copy of your database files.

  17. When you watch Pluto directly through Channels, does it have the same problem?
    1 point
  18. @EkoOneTry this as the M3U url instead; http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8089/devices/M3U-PlutoTV/channels.m3u?format=ts. The way you have it setup now, it's not pulling through Channels.

  19. You're using the new Emby for Android and not the Android TV (Theater) version? Are you sure you don't have 5 other Emby for Android devices in use that could have already used the 5 free full playback device licenses? Skip Intro is a Premiere Feature. The individual unlock license to get full playback will no longer be available for purchase moving forward, but any devices with an existing unlock is still honored as posted in the announcement. You are not losing any functionality, just gaining functionality by way of the 5 new licenses you will now have.

  20. Under services what are the startup types for the Drivepool service and the emby service created by NSSM? Also just to clarify, emby and Drivepool are running on the same server right? I'm also using Drivepool and have Emby running as a service with NSSM. On my server the Drivepool service is set to Automatic and the Emby service is set to Automatic(Delayed Start). I never have any issues with this config. Try setting the Emby service to Automatic(Delayed Start) and that should resolve your problem. If for whatever reason it doesn't you can add a dependency for the Drivepool service to the Emby service in NSSM. This will ensure that Drivepool is running prior to emby starting.

  22. Since it's working from a web browser and the android app that means the port forwarding is working correctly and you're not behind a CGNat. Sorry it's not clear from your last post, did you end up disabling secure connection mode and also trying to connect with 8096? Do you have 8096 forwarded as well? The reason to check this is because it may be working internally if it's just falling back to 8096 because it's actually rejecting the certificate for those apps, but externally if that port isn't open then it won't be able to connect. The apps may be rejecting the certificate depending on the CAs, whereas as a web browser/android may trust that CA in the chain, perhaps if it's a newer CA for example.

  24. Upon restart of the server it is displaying correctly but still transcoding. I had another file cause this issue a few weeks ago but I cant remember what it was. I did try to use Embys reencoding feature to get it to work, but that file still transcoded If it happens again I will come back here. Thanks

  25. Hello everyone Let's see if you can solve a question for me. Will there be a version of emby player for lg oled c8 (webOg lg - unknow version) That allows to reproduce Dolby vision Dual layer in the new MKV? In android TV it is already working. The idea is to know if it will arrive at the internal app of Emby of C8 lg, or will I have to buy a new device. Thank you

  26. Almost all of the emby clients can remote control each other. Just click the cast icon from within a client and you can see which other clients are connected and available to be controlled. Here's my android phone able to see a chrome browser I'm also logged into: Once connected; you can browse media and the item you're viewing will be displayed on the remote client. Pressing play will start playback on the remote client; then playback controls should pop up.

  31. Just for a goof, I tried deleting the 4 "empty" playlists from the Music Playlist section, then re-importing them & refreshing the metadata, just in case some error happened when they were first imported. The working playlist still works, so I left it alone. After waiting some time to allow Emby to refresh the data, the playlists are still empty. As another experiment, I copied the one working playlist M3U file to a non-indexed folder on the NAS, renamed it "Test Duplicate", then added it back to the Music/Playlist folder. After < 5 minutes, it was automatically recognized & populated with songs. This suggests that despite being created "identically", there must be something fundamentally different between the files themselves, rather than with Emby processing them. After a deeper dive in comparing the files, I found that the "mistake" was mine: While I had changed the ROOT of the file path, the actual names of the main music folders are different on my computer & the NAS (and I neglected to change that part in the M3U files). When I deleted the empty playlists and edited the M3U files to reflect the NAS version of the main music folder name, then re-imported them into EMBY, they (almost) all were recognized & populated with songs. One playlist was still empty: When I examined it closely, I found that the folder name which should have been Volume1 was actually Vomume1. Once I corrected THAT mistake & re-imported it, it was recognized, populated & played as expected. PROBLEM SOLVED! This just reinforces my theory that atypical, inconsistent computer behavior is most often due to overlooked little mistakes. Even 1 character wrong in a file path makes all the difference.

  32. Yes that library paths would have been the next question. Just have to make sure no library path is a child of any other path.

  33. I found the reason. the path setting was wrong. EU MOVIE library path settings is MOVIE/ so everything is english delete all library and resetting everything is good

  36. However, I've found that the biggest problem at present is that Jellyfin has a lot of functions that are more advanced than those of Emby, more and better plugins, and fewer bugs than Emby. The only drawbacks, I reckon, are that its playback efficiency is lower than that of Emby and its user interface functions are not as user-friendly as those of Emby. This gives me a feeling that Emby will always be replaced and surpassed by Jellyfin. Many bugs in Emby haven't been fixed for a long time. The progress of adding new features is also slow.

  37. I would assume people come to the emby-website to buy access to some media-library with actual content because it shows intentionally everywhere the emby-branding. When it was more customizable maybe this problem would vanish then too. I like the idea of "powered by emby".

  38. Year old necro, but I'd really like this as well. I really appreciate being able to swap devices and continue watching whatever movie or TV episode I was on. But I also have a fairly large collection of long MP3s (be they live concerts or downloaded podcasts), and I'd like to be able to continue listening to them across devices as well. I listen to podcasts in my car, but not being able to pick them up where I left off on my PC later is annoying, doubly so when the app goes to sleep and completely loses it. I was under the impression this was going to be short listed a year ago, but that hasn't been the case. I just want to be able to continue listening across devices :(
