  1. No option exists you can remove from CW but resume is maintained. Your only option it toggling UnPlayed/Played status as mentioned.

  2. Similar to this old post, I'm suggesting a tab that would be titled Watchlist and could be placed in between Suggestions and Favorites. The functionality would pretty much be a copy of Favorites, just with a + symbol added next to the heart and other symbols that let you favorite a movie etc. The previous post had mentioned extra functionality such as automatically removing a movie from Watchlist after it has been watched. This would be nice, but is unnecessary because after watching a movie you can simply click the + symbol a second time to remove it from Watchlist. I would imagine this would be very easy to implement as a rebranded copy of Favorites. Adding other features could come later. Edit: added link to old post

  3. Since we can now detect end credits, or manually add them in other cases, it would be nice to see this, rather than an automatic percentage/time remaining, trigger the "next episode" popup and decide whether an episode is resumable or not. Even better if it could expand to movies for the latter point.

  4. I would like to have the option to display subtitles outside the "video frame" at the bottom of the screen, regardless of movie format. Currently Plex, Jellyfin and also KODI offer this possibility, with Emby being the only left out, and the only reason I am not using Emby as my primary media server. Kodi does have the best implementation options: The forum discussion for reference:

  5. Hi guys. First of all, thanks for the great work you are doing. Emby is a great media swerver and it's worth the money I spent for the premiere license. Now the issue. Performing a search while typing is a great feature wth nice user experience but it may be problematic when you have a huge database. I have more than 100,000 titles (plus actors, performers and all the other types of related entities) and the search is just too slow and very annoying as, for every letter you type in the search box, it starts to search my huge database. Is there any way to set the "type speed" or, better, simply disable the feature "search as you type" and let the server start the search only after you press 'ENTER'? It shouldn't too complex to implement. If not, would you consider to add it in one of the next releases? As you may understand, the search feature is very important on a database of ten thousands of titles... Thanks, Gerry

  7. I would think that the combination of user based playlists (4.8) and what @Lukecalls "Smart Views." Seems like the end game. Aren't Smart Views supposed to be a focus of the next release? I don't think they have been in beta yet.

  8. Nope, you can't select individual fields to show (or not) in AndroidTV app, it's either "Show Label" with predetermined values/layout under posters or not show them, in which case line on top of the screen will contain some additional information. You can't, as said above, you can only show some more information if you opt out/deselect "Show Labels" in library threre-dots menu @Neminemmentioned above. Download Standard/Universal Android app from your store (or sideload from here), you'll have same options as in Web app.

  9. @ados8000yes both options are possible. I just need to find the time to do it I have not looked at this plugin for a long time now, I will try soon to investigate this.

  10. Have to agree - I put on hold my efforts to do this myself (as a plugin) as there was a faint glimmer of hope something was finally happening - but it's been months. Having said that it's been a while since a beta has been released - but that could be holidays or it could be something worth waiting for .. In the meantime, my 'hack' is working ok - you simply add an item to a playlist which doubles as a 'watchlist' for each user, all users or spotlight (if you have permissions) - it then gets generated into a virtual library so you get a 'row' for your users watchlist. Having a 'add to watchlist' icon/menu selection would be so much more elegant ...

  11. With my untrained eye looking at these logs. It seems to have some problems with the subtitles in the file being played Try and disable your subtitles and see what happens. Also fails tone mapping which could be a GPU driver problem. Disable tone mapping and see if that fixes the problem. I know Intel ARC cards have problems with tone mapping and specific drivers that make tone mapping not work forcing ffmpeg (what Emby uses for transcoding) to go into software transcoding. Maybe the bug in those drivers has snug it self into the iGPU driver as well.

  12. Annoyed I didn't know this plugin existed, wow fine work sir. I've been able to fix multiple series that had incorrect intros for assorted reasons. Have a feature request, any chance we can have a setting to automatically download from URL. I have the URL pointing to my file server so it would be nice when I update the zip I don't have to manually download and import. Thank you for this amazing plugin. Edit: additionally, it would be nice if the plugin had a dedicated tab for flagged episodes. I imagine it would flag episodes whereby the intro was missing and/or x percentage too far into the episode for which is a likely error needing fixing.

  13. AFAIK this plugin has been deprecated as equivalent functionality has been implemented in 4.8+ core. Wouldn't count on getting any updates going forwards.

  14. and what happens if you right-click on the Lethal Weapon collection and go to 'Edit Images' If you then search for a new image: Do you see a list of available covers from TheMovieDB?

  15. Any plans to expand the skip into detection system. Having the same issues as others mentioned, skip into shows far into the episode. I would have assumed the system would account for the average intro time for that series and if audio is significantly further into the watch percentage then disregard skip. It would be nice for people with higher powered systems to have an option to enable video processing, but I assume that system doesn't exist. I've only just discovered the Chapter API plugin which is excellent manual solution. It shows all chapters including intro ones and allows for manually deleting, creating and playing chapters. More impressively, you can find episodes that have missing or wonky intros and fix them in bulk. Sometimes the show changes the intro mid season etc. You can filter and find these, manually correct one and export the chromaprint file. Then import the file and select all or specific episodes for which will use the new source for detections. I have VLC using a few plugins to enable millisecond timing and jump back/forward to any custom value. While you don't have to use video playback software, you do need to get within a second or better in accuracy for generating the chromaprint file. There's more you can do but it's still a manual process and would be nice if the automated system was expanded.

  17. A lot of people when watching movies or TV shows utilize subtitles. They can be for watching a movie in a foreign language or helpful for those with hearing difficulties to enjoy their favorite TV show. Whatever your reason for using subtitles, Emby has a few great options that individuals can set up at the user level to make subtitle usage easier for themselves every time they watch their favorite media. Did you know that every user on your server can set up different subtitle settings that best fit their individual needs? They can edit the preferred language, change the color, positioning and more to best suit their needs. One of our favorite features here at Emby are the various subtitle modes that a user can take advantage of. This setting allows them the ability to have the same subtitle settings for every media file they play and is very helpful for those that use subtitles every time they watch something on Emby. The individual settings are as follows for subtitle mode: Default - Subtitles are loaded based on the default and forced flags in the embedded metadata. Language preferences are considered when multiple options are available. Smart - Subtitles matching the language preference will be loaded when the audio is in a foreign language. Only forced subtitles - Only subtitles marked as forced will be loaded. Always play subtitles - Subtitles matching the language preference will be loaded regardless of the audio language. No subtitles - Subtitles will not be loaded by default. They can still be turned on manually during playback. These settings can be changed by going to the app settings and under the subtitles section, clicking on subtitle mode. These are great options for users to take advantage of when someone commonly uses subtitles for a variety of reasons. View the full article

  19. Remove or comment out this code. .backgroundContainer.itemBackgroundContainer.withBackdrop, .backgroundContainer.withBackdrop { -webkit-backdrop-filter: saturate(1.5) blur(0.5em); backdrop-filter: saturate(1.5) blur(0.5em); } As for the second, it depends on what change happen within the update as it is on the user to figure out the css changes that happen with every update. But will guess if fillidill has time will post a version update per server changes.

  20. I'll add my +1 on this. I'd really like for this to be able to be set persistently per user/show. Sometimes when watching old media I prefer for it to be filled to the screen and it's a bit tedious to set it for each episode while I'm watching.

  21. Now that we are beyond server 4.7 and have the ability to set playlists per user, is there any progress on a Watchlist?

  22. In agreement with everything @samuelqwesaid above. Maybe ask @chefif he wants to change the private repo to public - but in it's current state, some elements of the plugin are broken - and many sticking plasters have been added to make it work as integration to use the clients 'skip' was added after that got implemented (actually @Cheesegeezerwrote that bit) - and tbh was one of the main reasons why development stopped as we were told this was breaking things (which it wasn't..). I still use the Plugin today rather than the Core as frankly the Plugin still works better for me, but for how much longer I'm not sure. Emby need to finish what they started - no ability to change/lock the data, no editing, no credits, no exclude, no ignore episode 1 intro skip, no permission based skip, no proper intro naming/labelling, no stats etc The MVP attitude is a little sad - we were proud to be better than Plex at the time - with all the features we added (the main one being Credits) - now emby is sadly lacking the competitors in this area, as well as many others such as transcoding DV etc where once it was at the forefront.. We should not be 'catching up - we should be innovating...

  23. Problem:- Running Emby server on a Synology NAS, playing files using MX Player as external player on a Minix U1 to TV. Plays the video fine ( in particular hevc/h265) and eac3 audio etc BUT external srt subtitles are not passed to the MX Player. I would very, very happily pay for premium emby if there is a fix for this - I can't find it... some background Really quite peeved and fed up long time Plex user ( and Plex Pass payer...) - the official Android TV Plex client will not play eac3 and is gimped so it won't use an external player like MX Player ( which not only plays everything but also feeds back watched statuds etc to Plex). The official Plex for Kodi addon is an improvement actually on the offical plex cleint, but even so that also has issues with eac3... meanwhile... an old, old 3rd party Plex client called Serenity, which hasn't been updated for over a year (!) DOES support Mx player and so plays all these files AND passes the srt subtitles from the NAS to the player... I'd far prefer to move to Emby....

  24. Emby should just drop live tv support, as the majority of users who use it are using pirated iptv subs to rebroadcast to their users. It's 1) a great way to get banned from your provider and blacklisted, and 2) not your media, which is what Emby was originally designed for. If cable card was still around it would be valid, but no legitmate providers give you a playlist to watch their channels. One could argue that OTA channels are still viable, but we know that anyone who is using Emby is not interested in OTA content. Everything OP is complaining about is content that would be used to sell your server to people, which is again, something that Emby is NOT designed for.
