  1. @@Luke stated in a previous post (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/49933-replaygain-music-support/) adding support for this could easily be done for at least the theater client seeing as the player used already supports replaygain. I'm making this feature request in hopes that this support is added, as I have no dev experience myself

  2. Device Locations Plugin for Emby Purpose This plugin improves observability of users accessing your server remotely. All private ipv4 and ipv6 ip addresses are ignored. help understand if users are sharing their accounts with other people additional stats are added to help understand device behavior when are devices active? This can help tune servers during peak activity which areas have the most activity? This may inform content delivery strategies which users authenticate on devices? Installation Download the dll and move it to the plugin directory Restart your server Requirements Register for a free account at https://www.ip2location.io/ to obtain an API key used for enriching location data If you are using a paid account you can remove the attribution in the plugin settings, otherwise, you need to keep the attribution to remain compliant Update the plugin settings with the API key Enriching data There are 2 scheduled tasks that need to run before full results are available. Sync activity data - Runs hourly and syncs Emby activity events to the plugin Enrich location data - Runs daily and enriches geoIP data to the plugin data. You can update settings to configure the max number of requests to ip2location PER run. This is useful if you're testing and/or have a significant number of authentication events (large user base, etc). The ip2location API allows 30k requests / month. TODO: Add ipv4/ipv6 validation when sync'ing Emby data Add caching when enriching data EmbyDeviceLocations.dll

  3. Hi It would be helpful to me and perhaps others if the IPTC description could be shown when viewing photos. Thanks really enjoy Emby and you have helped me a lot so I have signed up to Premiere. John

  4. So? There are probably quite a few members that don't care about the part that got you to subscribe. And you probably would be annoyed as well, if that part suddenly stopped working. And rightfully so... (Especially if emby would continue to advertise this defunct part to new members)

  5. Hi, yes I see the issue. An update to the MovieDb plugin is going out to resolve this. Thanks. Yes this appears resolved in the build you posted in other topic.

  6. Not as a separate item, though; it is one small part of what Premiere covers, and I suspect that many (like me) have no interest in it whatsoever. Paul

  7. Ok. I'll probably wait until an official version comes out since it's not critical. Thanks for the assistance.

  8. No, I just went through all the settings and all the context menus and I can't seem to find anything like that. I'm on 3.4.20 also

  11. HW accel is a premier feature so that's possible. Also make sure that 44 and 992 are the correct GID values for the card and renderD128 devices under /dev/dri.

  15. Without a real example something is wrong with Kleo as Emby thinks it is a Movie so only way that can happen is structure/naming scheme. As Emby must have some sort of identifier to detemine if Movie or TV Show in a mixed content environment. Usally season folders but can fall back to episode naming scheme but requires episode in their own parent Show folder.

  16. I don't have that many files in my library before I delete them, maybe about 20 or so. It will be more unnecessary work for me to move individual files into shows and movies categories on my phone once they've been downloaded. Especially as emby seems to be doing a pretty good job of identifying and categorizing what they are anyway as long as I, as you say, have the folders structured correctly.

  17. I will switch to the beta for my main viewing and, maybe, I can verify if it still happens with the beta, or not However it was so intermittent that I may not see if the problem is really fixed but one can always hope.

  18. For naming the folder on the file system you can put it like that, but when using the identify feature you only put in the ID. It looks like you might have this series in a movie library? I keep seeing type=movie in the get URI.

  20. Per user comment here, I am reposting the request that Emby implement volume normalizing across multiple tracks in a music library (full library or a playlist), as seems possible using ffmpeg.

  22. Yocker, The Apple collection is current and high quality. They embed the videos with a blob / sequential .m4s similar to .ts clips, each a few seconds long. I would not expect a download or embed option, because the trailers are licensed by Apple from other studios, so Apple would not normally have any rights to reissue the trailers to anyone. They don't belong to Apple. I mentioned before that any company can apply to individual studios to download trailers for reuse. I would expect this license is probably free from all the studios. But that is not the only part of the solution. Studios offer downloads. That's it. It's less likely that the original studios will have any playback server setup to offer HD embed playback. Why would they? That would be considerably expensive to offer and maintain. For example: A single large studio to offer embedded video playback from a server that works nationally or internationally would need to have an account with a distributor like Akamai and much of a film library trailers be added to the distributed network for embed playback. For a studio with 2000 films, a monthly distribution fee might run, perhaps $2000 and that has nothing to do with setting the server to make the source website work, which might need a dev hour annual estimate of something like $25,000 or so. This is for one studio with 2000 films. As far as I know, no studio does this for trailers, obviously because of this cost. They do tend to do it on a membership sites for paid playback for the entire movie and then offer the trailer on that site for free. Youtube does trailers, but restricts embed to their rules, which has lowered playback quality, in the last few years. What studios do offer, is trailer download rights by license, for a company to remarket the trailers on their website. The studios give you some playback guidelines to suggest links and info to promote their content. They obviously like the trailers to link back to buy tickets or copies of the movie. Well, if Emby gets these trailer download permissions, which should be possible, for each studio (aorund 250 sources), the problem then becomes how to distribute the content. I have never heard about a central Emby video playback server. Emby would run into the same expense the studio has, if they wanted to distribute nationally or internationally say 10,000 trailers. With Akamai, I would guess international fees would be maybe $15,000 to $35,000 a year, depending on traffic. Plus Emby would need to support this service with dev hours... another $10,000 year budget. Obviously, getting an Akamai account is too expensive, just for trailers. So, let's think no national / international distribution network, just through one or a few load balanced servers for Emby users. It's really a separate service that should have it's own domain and name, so any legal questions don't involve Emby. So, now running a separate business, website server for downloading trailers to allow embedded playback inside Emby members servers, we are still looking at hardware, bandwidth, dev time, maybe $50,000 to start and $15,000 a year would be low ball in the US plus the cost of starting a new business. Remember this is still only for trailers. Paying someone else, who already has a business. Doing this looks now, like a better deal. We are back to the $1500 a month subscription to a company like Fabric. With that, you still need to troubleshoot, update and fix bugs, so dev time might cost an extra $2000 a year, if you are lucky, bringing the total annual here to just under $20,000, again, just for trailers. I worked on the code for these types of distribution services at Akamai, years ago. Akamai is pricey. Other companies offer better deals. I think maybe the idea of clicking a button to get something, that seems already free online, doesn't sound like it should cost too much. I thought I would give a few quick estimates, to show the work and cost of getting trailers to be better. It's sort of easier said, than done.

  23. This maybe an actual issue with the TV itself (if the app is installed directly onto TV) Many folks in the Kodi forums run into this also. This maybe give you some clues? https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=378343&highlight=TrueHD

  26. Luke, what can we do to get this implemented? I know you have a lot on your plate but this doesn't seem like it would be that difficult, it just has to ignore the "similar movies" logic. I really hate to be a pest but it would improve the viewing experience so much for those of us who have spent a lot of time collecting trailers.

  27. Oh, shoot, you're right. Guess I didn't test it enough. Well, back to bugging Luke to fix this, I guess.

  29. It's working fine for me so far on the one series I've watched since upgrading to v11. I'll try a couple more shows and post back to confirm. Edited to add: I just tried three other series, and skip intro worked fine for all of them.

  30. I think my issue was too many clients (including all the devices I was testing Emby apps) on the one AP that doesn't have a wired backhaul. Testing apps on devices connected to the same wired AP as the NAS playback was good. I rebooted the one wireless AP and playback through that one is looking smooth now too. Looks like I have some wall fishing to do to wire that last AP.

  34. I know this is not a question, I just wanted to say how much I freaking love Emby. We have been looking for a solution to our home media for years. We have young kids, we don't get out much, we watch a lot of series and tv and Emby has just made the whole experience so much better. Just wanted to say good job Emby people and thanks. I wish I had known about it years ago.

  35. I actually can't believe this is not already a thing. I used this feature a TON in Plex and was surprised Emby did not have it. I have been using the favourite feature as a substitute watchlist, I would love the ability to do user ratings instead since I don't really want 2000 pages of movies and tv shows/episodes I liked. Come on Emby. You know ya wanna.....

  39. Hi Luke, yes that's fixed the problem but it turned off hardware acceleration when selecting unset so I added the following which has also resulted in a nice boost to tone mapped brightness without any clipping. I tried a few target-peak numbers and 100 looked the best. EDIT: target-peak=auto also looks good. Very happy with the result, I always thought Theater tone mapping was a bit dimmer than potplayer or kodi now it looks identical. hdr-compute-peak=no hwdec=d3d11va-copy d3d11-adapter=NVIDIA target-peak=100

  41. Just +1ing this for music. All my music is ReplayGain tagged and it's pretty annoying for the volume to be all over the place since I like to listen to large playlists on shuffle.

  42. I think this is a much-awaited feature: an EPUB / PDF file reader and this possibility of creating a real book database.... why does it take so long to create this feature? no news ? I'm willing to pay if that's the problem.

  43. Hi, yes this idea has come up before and is possible for future updates. Thanks.

  44. I do NOT think it should be playable. From what I have read it should be removed as it serves no purpose. If people want "reminding" of what they have available the there are many many many ways to accomplish that. Emby should just remove that display. Under no circumstances should it be made playable.
