Good day, First thanks you all for testing and indeed all the points you all pointed out are all good, well done. I want just to point out regarding points as: Point giving for: "Like, Thanks, Agree, and Haha" as +1 point. No point giving for the rest of the icons as "Null". As @softworkz said, we simply testing this, to see how this goes, the idea to reduce big arguments, you simply click on that reaction and meant to say "have a nice day", but if this goes in the wrong way, we will remove it. Since we can now detect end credits, or manually add them in other cases, it would be nice to see this, rather than an automatic percentage/time remaining, trigger the "next episode" popup and decide whether an episode is resumable or not. Even better if it could expand to movies for the latter point.3 points

Thanks for the offer @soderlund91, I should have a version out in a day or two... Just trying to find the time3 points

I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise2 points

Are you connecting to your own server or someone else's?2 points

I had some time now during the weekend and I think it's solved (and hopefully for good). I'm still pretty sure the second libraries for moves and series were created during the update, but I don't know why. I had to do some trial and error in the database but eventually I got there. So what I did: - Ran a query that gets the Ids of all duplicates in the DB with the newer refresh date and use this to delete all foreign keys in any other table - Deleted all row that had the ParentId of the new libraries in MediaItems - Deleted the two new libraries - Deleted all other duplicates from MediaItems with the newer refresh date Library seems clean now and adding new files is also working fine. And lessons learned: Disable auto updates and keep backups longer, 5 days retention was not enough as I noticed the issues too late.2 points

Glad you're enjoying it. If you run into issues or have questions on how to do things, the community and Devs in their forum are pretty great at helping out.2 points

This is on another level customisation you are life saver without the video no way will have been able to figure it out. It can also create dynamic categories impressive. When you arrange channels you can see them being reordered in real time. Tuner sharing you have to manually enable it I have been now running the same channel for 30 minutes on 4 devices so far not noticing any issues on any device. I still can't get over the joy of being able to do channel surfing wish I discovered this when the tennis was on so I can swap quickly between the three channels. I was going how the hell do you series record something than they have something called create pass and there it is bit of a weird term. If you start a recording late it actually informs you when you select the recording. Channels DVR left of where WMC stopped. Just have to test do the emby recordings work in it and do more series testing this week if everything works then will swap over. Then will just be a visitor to these forums from time to time to see are there any updates worth testing. I was reading on their forum they seem to respond very fast someone said they are using mpv backend which doesn't make sense how come in emby has so much issues with it. When the channel actually tunes the picture is no where near as good as from Channels DVR. Most time it's a failure to launch a channel. When they are charging $80 per year they can afford the devs to create their own backend I assume. The huge advantage they have is they support very few devices but they make sure it works perfectly on those devices which is much better than supporting 100 devices but not one working on any of them 100%. So far in a full day and a bit not a single issue to report on any device. So well done to the team for making an exceptional product. I will try the editor that sounds perfect for movies that I want to keep.2 points

Okay so my friend just updated the server to 4.8.1.0 and everything seems to work - my Roku TV can now login to the server and works as expected. He says it was last updated no more than a few months ago, but he forgot to note what version it started at before he performed this update - apologies, I was hoping to be able to provide that info. Still no idea why the issue would start to happen sometime in the last few weeks, but at least it's fixed. @ebrthank you for your continued troubleshooting responses, I really appreciate the help!2 points

But for a serious answer: I suggested -1 because it's the most neutral way for indicating disagreement and it just complements the +1. I think that -1 is also less negative than "Facepalm" which we have for quite some time now. Heart would be just an educational measure, not a regular reaction. The valid point in adding -1 is that there's actually no way for indicating factual disagreement without any other subnote. Neither confused, nor sad nor facepalm can express that. I'd rather remove one of the latter in favor of -1 (if we had to choose, but we don't have to)2 points

Or better: We set up a new group called "Needs Love" in which we put any misbehavers. The special feature of that group is: No matter which reaction button a user clicks - it always ends up being a heart icon2 points

Hi, we are working on improving this. Thanks for the feedback.1 point

Thanks @Luke For me at least Auto-Organize 1.7.2 seems to do the trick. Episodes that were failing to match since 4.8.0.80 are now getting organised successfully. Much appreciated.1 point

He meant for his account name login info on emby server, I answer the member about this by PM.1 point

@Lukeand others who might need this. here is my solution. I created a triggered task that runs the following script MONITORDIR=/volume1/videos inotifywait -m -r -e create, modify --format '%w%f' /volume1/videos /volume1/photos /volume1/music | while read NEWFILE; do curl -X 'POST' \ "http://server:serverport/emby/Library/Refresh?api_key=myapikey" \ -H 'accept: */*' \ -d '' sleep 10m done Essentially anytime any file into any of my library directories, it posts a refresh call to the server. Works like a charm, the sleep just prevents it from happening too often when multiple files are copied/modified at once It may not need modified, but it doesnt hurt. I wish there was a way to get the name of the process (or even the process ID) that did the mod/creation. I would then filter out emby/ffmpeg etc.1 point

Use their feature called Channel Collections. https://getchannels.com/docs/channels-dvr-server/how-to/channel-collections/ They also have a great way to edit the commerical cuts if they are off (and you're right, it's usually pretty spot on for most channels) with a little GUI editor you can access from the web UI. It shows the thumbnails for each cut and you can modify it as needed.1 point

I have to experiment a bit (OK, maybe a lot) to try the options you suggested even excluding the browser options. I also have to test the options already available on my clients. However it, like any other testing I might do, it will take time. I will report back when I test thoroughly. That could be tomorrow or next Wednesday. I think I liked my life a lot more several years ago. My one piece of advice to most people is, "Don't get old." The older you get the more things go wrong. Sometime I feel a bit like the robot greeter for Westworld: (The original not the TV remake.) "Welcome to Westworld all our attractions are safe and fun. Nothing can go wrong "GO WRONG" "Go Wrong" "go wrong" "go wrong" "go wrong" "go wrong" "GO WRONG"...1 point

There is something about the header of the file the Roku cannot understand. It is always choose the first audio track. You want to remux with MKVToolNix GUI and it will correct the header. But you must correct the streams inside. Make sure only 1 default is set for the audio. 1 default is set for the subtitles. And remove the mjpeg/image from the streams. {"Codec":"mjpeg","ColorSpace":"bt470bg","TimeBase":"1/90000","IsInterlaced":false,"BitDepth":8,"RefFrames":1,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"IsHearingImpaired":false,"Height":720,"Width":960,"RealFrameRate":90000,"Profile":"Baseline","Type":"EmbeddedImage","AspectRatio":"4:3","Index":37,"IsExternal":false,"IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false,"Protocol":"File","PixelFormat":"yuvj444p","Level":-99,"IsAnamorphic":false,"ExtendedVideoType":"None","ExtendedVideoSubType":"None","ExtendedVideoSubTypeDescription":"None","AttachmentSize":0}],"Formats":[],"Bitrate":6052064,"RequiredHttpHeaders":{},"AddApiKeyToDirectStreamUrl":false,"ReadAtNativeFramerate":false} This shows in your ffmpeg log. It shows at the end. Make sure when you remux the file you remove this and do not copy it. The rest you can copy just make sure you only have 1 default for audio. 1 default for subtitles. In your ffmpeg logs just the English audio file is marked as default. Yet in your images above it shows all set default? Did you do this? If everything is set to default this will cause problems. Can you show us what the web app shows in the "About" section at the bottom for the audio streams? Note: When you use "Playback Correction" it will fix the header. It will be repackaged into a new container if this is direct playing which your file is. What happens is the streams are copied. But that header problem is corrected. This allows you to change audio streams.1 point

Regarding concerns in general: it's not like a product feature which you can be sometimes doomed to deliver till all eternity. Should any of those concerns become true, Abo can just cast a magic feature spell: Abocadabra - Vanish!1 point

Personally I have "disliked" the fact that so many sites have removed the ability to dislike a post. They did it because many people, and I use that generally as "people" is too nice for many folks that want to suppress reactions, are just too thin skinned or to stupid to accept the fact that many folks may not like what is said. They are afraid they might offend somebody so they remove one ability to offend. I have always "liked" the "dislikes" I have had because if someone dislikes a post it means they are at least reading what is written. Add a hate this post icon or a this post is insane icon or an icon for any like/dislike feeling and I will be happy. My only concern is that they will be overused but various banning actions and/or other administrative actions will become overwhelming to various admins. @Abobaderif this becomes permanent you are in for a LOT of work. Also I wonder how admins that misuse the dislike will be handled. There are a number of admin types here that are at least as thin skinned as I and that can lead to misuse. GOOD LUCK1 point

Heart would be just an educational measure, not a regular reaction. Heart was a joke - no idea why I'm even defending it1 point

Heart is good, already have "sad", perhaps a full "cry" and a snowflake could be added. I only bring it up because adding social media elements can reinforce social media behavior. But hey, I'll just wear big boy pants and all will be good.1 point

...guys: it's really not a matter of taste, it's a matter of balance. That's the important side.1 point

We should not compare the three among each other. We need to put it next to the green one because that's the relation which matters.1 point

Guess we need to be quick, about testing. The icons is in the wild. And they can be selected on postes in the forum. So can we agree to disagree1 point

I tried plex last year and after half an hour I cancelled the subscription found it horrible didn’t like the interface it was giving some rubbish movies tidal music something found it clunky didn’t like it at all. Live TV seems an afterthought in Emby you think it will improve but it doesn’t. Channels DVR is very impressive I tried it on 2 android tv to test tuner sharing and it’s flawless so far still hasn’t failed. Trying it on my iPad it’s so much quicker than Emby client. I will give it another week of testing and if everything is working properly bite the bullet and buy year subscription and hopefully Emby improves in a year. Now that I have tried Channels DVR it’s like going backwards using Emby wish I wasn’t saying this but it’s the truth. 4.8 took over a year to release and I havent noticed one thing compared to 4.7 that my experience is better now so was looking forward to 4.9 to see some big changes and nothing so to say I am disappointed is an understatement1 point

Even a basic Raspberry Pi or equivalent will be a lot more secure than running it directly on the router. As for the IPv4 vs IPv6, easiest would be to configure the Wireguard Server to listen on both the IPv4 & IPv6 addresses and continue using IPv4 for the actual device address.1 point

I actually just tried the latest beta version of the Roku app (sent to me by ebr) and the problem is resolved. I’m not sure what was changed though, I’d love to know. Thank you for all the help. I also tried refreshing the metadata but that did not help.1 point
-
This worked for me. Now I have two separate entries. This should be a feature in the Metadata Manager, to browse your collection on a folder level and identify folders. Thanks for your suggestion. It was solved with Happy2Play's suggestion but I will try to remember this if this is a problem in the future.1 point

Try renaming Taskmaster (SE) folder to Taskmaster SE (2017) [TvdbId=325248] and Taskmaster folder to Taskmaster (2015) [TvdbId=298905]1 point
-
Also, it can directly be outweighed by +1 reactions. It allows for simple math to be applied, so that a -1 wouldn't stand out as a separate thing.1 point

People probably won't ever see it if they don't add a pin. It does seem to be a problem with associating the user account and password when the pin is activated until after the initial login and there is a way to log in if it happens.1 point
-
Hi, please try the Auto-Organize 1.7.2 update and see if the search is more accurate. Thanks.1 point

Probably easiest to Move the original out of the library, Identify the SE version, then readd the original. As it would be a lot of work going through each episode and clicking split apart. Taskmaster - TheTVDB.com (298905) Bäst i test - TheTVDB.com (325248)1 point

Until it doesn't. In most circumstances if a router is vulnerable it can expose your network but a bad actor still has to work through it to gain access to other systems, applications and files. But if a router is also running applications, services and has storage attached, well that's a big time saver.1 point

I believe this FR needs to be re-phrased - the request needs to be for the Core Introskip to add the ability to detect Credits. I believe the core team are already aware of this and have said they will monitor interest in it. To note - the core 'CreditStart' marker is already available in the Core (and has been imported already if you used the Intro Skip plugin and the CreditStart was previously detected or manually added). The Plugin only allows you to auto-skip to the next episode - Linking to the 'Next Episode' OSD could then utilise this Core Credit Feature I agree and not use use a timer based system which is sometimes a poor experience.1 point

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, put I copied the dll to the correct folder as listed above. Restarted Emby Server, cleared browser cache and everything, but I have nothing for IntroSkip under Scheduled Tasks. What am I doing wrong?1 point
