I have customised the look of Embuary slightly. 2K can also be used on a FullHD device. 4K recommended on a 4K display I have also enlarged the font, as it has become a little too small and illegible under the new resolution. That's correct. I took a look at this and the import process does in fact create a brand new user. This is because it has to handle the situation of the user already being there. Anyway the 4.8 backup process will be changed to just take the entire database so this issue won't even exist anymore.

Did you install openssl 1.1.1? Since the update to 3.X.X dotnet binaries are broken and fail to start any service.

I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise

Scenario; main tv has a roku or other stb that is used by all. That emby account is restricted to pg only. Instead of changing accounts in emby, could there be a prompt for a pin to access pg13 + content? I've seen this on a cable box back when I used to have them.

I'd like to see Emby allow decimals numbers in the episode number. This would make it easy to insert promos, commercials, etc. in-between episode 1 and 2 for example. Emby manual power!

thanks for confirm luke. yep looks like it. there are ways arround this but they require you to know what the old user Guids were and most people are not going to know this. if you do know you can just take the most recent backup from PlaybackReporting and do a find replace on the users Guids then import the backup data into PlaybackReporting. Hit the clean up button on the settings page and you should be back up and running. but as I said not many admins will know the old users Guids

Switching this to minimized for me worked. It actually does open the window and you can see it, fullscreen. Right click on the file to get the properties.

Thats the screenshots from the old skin. Embuary looks and works similar to the Emby apps themselves. Only without being dependent on the exoplayer. A lot of fine-tuning is necessary, but the work is worth it in the end.

Evenin' all Just arrived here after trying to find the lifetime 45 device upgrade option, only to find that it's gone...apparently. For what it's worth, I think that this should be something that you should still offer to those who are already premier lifetime members, as you're not going to get any more revenue from us otherwise, unless we of course decide to subscribe to the monthly option - which I won't be. Not wanting to pay monhtly was the reason I went premier lifetime in the first place. At least offering it to the members who are already lifetime license holders, would allow you to reap some more revenue from those who don't wish to pay an extra monthly fee. Maybe a promotion of some sort...especially since we were not made aware of the change (as far as I'm aware anyway) I do understand some of your reasoning for the change though, but certainly in my instance (and many others I suspect), you could either gain another lifetime license sale from me, or nothing in terms of a monthly sub. Just my thoughts. L

For parental control reasons, since the Apple TV (possible other apps as well) have an "inactivity reset" for the User login screen which I believe is set to 1 hour, I feel it would be great to allow this configurable on the UI so that a parent can make sure its always required where as someone who doesn't care about it can have it set to 1hr or higher. Something along the lines of: 1. Always required 2. Couple minutes 3. Couple hours This could be an admin setting on the device or even better a per user setting, but I would just appreciate it to be configurable as it currently is my blocking task as to why I haven't fully rolled out Emby to my family.

According Emby Premiere Feature matrix, following: Nope, app unlock only allows for Full playback - using any other Premiere feature takes a slot even if unlocked app. For playback only. I would assume latter.

The server log from when that movie was imported. If you don't have that anymore, then just open the metadata editor for that title, click save, then attach the emby server log. Thanks.

You can post server log as any (permission) issue should show there.

Hi @TeamBI figured I have nothing to lose so instead of using the plugin to restore my emby backup in the new server I just did copy all Emby config folder and drop it in the new server and pointed my media libraries to the correct new locations and everything is good so far. So, using the plugin ( Backup & Restore ) is not sufficient to migrate the users to your plugin (at least in my case).

But I do make such a request on behalf of some other users (after all, English is not our native language and it's really hard for them to post in the forums), so I'm not the only one who needs this feature. It would only be just to mod the look and feel, skins etc, not an actual full media player. Then you could add the mods into the regular emby server.

How would that be different from a "Smart View" if we allowed you to put them on that suggestions page as well as the home page?

I sometimes enter my movie library with the desire to watch a movie but no real idea about what movie I would like to watch. Currently I can browse from a-z or z-a or by date added or by genre or by date released or maybe a few other choices but that means I am limited to seeing my movies in just a few orders and I see the same movies first in each sort every time. While that may seem like a good variety it really limits browsing and also means that some movies are always late in the browse. I have a library of well over 3000 movies and it sometimes takes a long time to find a movie to watch. What I would like to have is the option to present the movies in a random order that is different each time I browse. That way movies that I usually do not get to browse might show up earlier. I do NOT want random play I just want to be able to choose to browse my movies in a random order. I would really like this on the Roku client but I believe if it were implemented at the server then it would be easier for the clients to implement it.

You are correct, .strm files support was removed for compatibility reasons with another plugin (Top Picks) at the time, something number of users (including myself) had a gripe with. And it is still so, AFAIK. So unless someone steps in and restores same functionality, I'm afraid you're out of luck for your particular scenario.
