I am switching over from a Win7 box running MBC to Chromecast dongles. With the Win7 box I had a HDMI to Cat6 setup that allowed me to stream to up to 4 displays/TVs simultaneously. It was great while it lasted, but involved stapling cables to the ceiling to run it from room to room - plus it has borked Can there be an option to multi-cast to several receivers at once? i.e. simultaneously play to Chromecast dongles in my office and living room and kitchen simultaneously so i can walk from room to room without stopping and restarting the movie or show all the time? I realize that bandwidth could POTENTIALLY be an issue, but i have a fill gigabit network and a multi-port NAS so that really is the least of my worries... Thank you!

I've been dying to know if this has garnered enough interest to be worked on. I found Emby (MediaBrowser 3 at the time) and its bookshelf plugin while I was searching for something that was like Plex for comics. Plex doesn't do this (and probably never will), Kodi doesn't have what I'm looking for either, and ComicRack seems to be dead at the moment. Unfortunately the bookshelf plugin doesn't work the way I had hoped. I was dissappointed to see it only offer a download to the file to which I can open it to the program of my choosing. Even browsing through the books I only had the option of going through folder-like directories and couldn't browse by author like the people section in the other media types. I would love for it to be fully integrated into Emby where I can open and read a comic right on my phone and tablet or even my web browser as I could with my movies and tv shows. Also, I hope to god somone is working on the "Games launching in android" feature you mentioned on your up-for-grabs blog post. That would be awesome!

I just noticed that when i click the watch trailer button on a movie, it plays a nice 1080p video, but the videos in cinema intros are all terrible quality. unwatchable. not to mention the languages are all over the place. would be nice to implement a way to filter these trailer selections somewhere. language and exclude any 480p or x quality trailers.

For those of you who still run the third party app on their older Orsay TVs there are new versions available for use. This is mostly a maintenance release to ensure the app is still functional with new server changes. v1.0.10 for 2011 D-series TVs. IP has been updated. Or, you can also download it from GitHub and host it on your own server using the instructions in the pinned post. v2.2.6 for 2012 E-series, 2013 F-series, 2014 H-series, and 2015 J-series entry level models that run Orsay. The IP hasn't been updated yet. However, you can get the new zip file from GitHub and host it yourself using the instructions now if you wish. I'll reply here when the IP has been updated. as it pertains to this problem, it means nothing, it was an old cloud drive that i mounted via raidrive and setup in emby, i nolonger use that storage location and everything is local, and i have removed it from the library it was associated with. in either case that library was not in use when the error occurred. was the main library for tv shows. i was able to get it working again one time before, what i had to do after exhausting all options i could think of at the time, was uninstall chrome and do fresh install on the connecting pc as well as change my password (which i then changed back). that solution has since no longer worked.

HI, what device are you using the web browser on? TV mode requires Emby Premiere. We work very hard on Emby and we thank you for your support.

Thanks for the link Luke. It most certainly was a permissions issue. I knew what had to be changed, but wasn't confident enough to do it. I was afraid if I messed with the permissions, I may lose access to my media. Well, today I decided to make the permissions change to what I thought it should be and it resolved the issue. I'm still going to hold onto that PDF for future reference though. Thanks again, Chris

OK... my fault. To be honest it takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds. IPv6 is DISABLED on Shield.

Yes please make that change! I too struggle with guide data running out and the refresh resets my ordered episodes so that I am constantly watching only early episodes of ordered shows.

That would be Step 1. Step 2 would be to rename them as per TVDB, where they are listed as Specials for Project K TV show (S00E01, S00E05 to S00E10): https://thetvdb.com/series/k/seasons/official/0#episodes Put all movies in Season 0, move TVDB as your top-preferred provider in your library settings (if not already), scan media library.

UPDATE 2: $#$#&@# #$@# #%# #@&$@# @#! I love Python except when they decide to break something in a version roll (Python2 not compatible with 3, anyone?) and no versions before the one that breaks it even gives warnings! I mean, give us warnings for 3 or 4 upgrades before you just go and make it stop working!! Anyway, 3.11 is fixed in version 4.20 (NICE!) of EmbyUpdate. Luckily not many are running 3.11 yet. It's not in Stable in most distro's unless manually installed, or running the testing or unstable versions. Like I had to do in my mint testing box to fix it! LOL I just wish I had the last day of my life back before this mess! Guess I'll develop in 3.11 now. Sigh... Cheers!

Do you have some other program writing NFO files? Edit: Another thought: do you have Prefer embedded titles enabled in your library settings (toggle Show advanced options On)? Can you share a screenshot of Media Info section from that item detail page?

This is how it works currently: When the guide refresh happens the plugin calculates the duration between the current time and the last guide refresh time. If that duration is greater than what is set in the plugin for "Suspend ...", then new guide data will be created. In your example the biggest gap is between Sunday and Wednesday with 72 hours. So you should set "Suspend ..." to 72 or less. That is the normal behaviour with "ordered episodes" when a guide refresh takes place. I plan to change all this, so that new guide data for a channel will only be created if that channel runs empty. Other channels that still have program data will be skipped.

Hi, the Server has a direct connection to the internet (IPv6 and IPv4). There is an VPN (wieguard) running in the server but there is no traffic routed through this network as it is being used to access the server (RDP) only. The connection itself to tmdb works fine, I testet it with telnet, ping, traceroute and also opening the queries within browsers. Technically there is no problem with the network connection itself. I tested all of this, and still only emby has problems connecting to themoviedb. EDIT: It seems to be that I found the cause and the solution for this: My Server runs on native IPv4 and IPv6, primarily the IP-Addresses of tmdb/themoviedb are being resolved to IPv6 first and then to IPv4. I upvote this as well as I’d like to be able to customize the upper bar in the music section so Artist and genre appear first. Is it really a big issue (just a question not trying to minimize your work) for you to implement it in Emby since it’s been asked for years ?

Just started using Emby earlier this week and noticed Playlists and collections do not show on the tv app. Works from an iphone or iPad though. Any way to get this corrected? A second issue I've run into is with favorites. I've added quite a few favorites and noticed on the tv app it limits the favorites I can see. On the phone and tablet apps there's an expand button that shows all the favorites. This seems to be missing on the tv app. Lastly, when switching the home screen settings it removed my continue watching tile and now no matter what options I choose it never shows up.
