  5. AmazonAudioBooks.zip Still some search improvements to be done! - Testing version. Not always fetching overviews - so I need to look at that. This is a webscraper, It searches amazon for your audiobook. Its up to you to check you can legally use this in your country - I accept no responsibilty. Use at your own risk. As this is a private use plugin and at no way connected to commercial use, copyrights are deemed "fair use" - for personal use in most countries, However its on you to check this where you are. For Audiobooks it fetches: Book Title Release Date Studio Poster Images Writers / Narrators (names only) Tagline Overview It does not fetch any Writers or Narrators Information or Images (when you click them) - it only fetches the audiobook information.. It only searches the book names, if I search the release dates or writers as well it usually doesn't find anything, so its possible to get the wrong book of the same name - just so you know. However so far for me, it has got the right books each time up to now ... theres still time to get the wrong book.... Identify is not enabled in this plugin so will error in Emby log if you try to use it. Drop the .dll in your plugins folder Restart Emby Go to Library Settings, Enable in metadata and Images I'm not entirely sure how to add Narrators to Audio books - there doesnt seem to be a narrator entity. @Luke So I have added them as an Actor with the Role "Narrator", this maybe not the correct place to put them - so until I know how they are handled, thats where this plugin adds them This is an initial test release so do not consider it perfect! - I advise testing it on a dummy library first. 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.35 [GetMetadata] Searching for AudioBook = The Running Man 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.35 Url = https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k="the running man"+audiobook 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.36 Search Link Added: https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Running-Man/dp/B01H0INT8Y 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.36 Found link = https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Running-Man/dp/B01H0INT8Y 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.36 Testing Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Running-Man/dp/B01H0INT8Y 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [AudiBook Name] found: 'The Running Man' 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [Person] found: 'Stephen King' 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [Person] found: 'Kevin Kenerly' 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [Studio] found: 'Hodder & Stoughton' 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [ReleaseDate] found: '28 July 2016' 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 [ReleaseDate] extracted: 27/07/2016 23:00:00 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 Tagline Found: It's not just a game when you're running for your life. 31.Jan.2023 - 01.12.38 Overview: It's not just a game when you're running for your life. Every night they tuned in to the nation's favourite prime-time TV game show. They all watched, from the sprawling slums to the security-obsessed enclaves of the rich. They all watched the ultimate live death game as the contestants tried to beat not the clock but annihilation at the hands of the Hunters. Survive 30 days, and win the billion-dollar jackpot - that was the promise. But the odds were brutal and the game rigged. Best score so far was eight days. And now there was a new contestant, the latest running man, staking his life while a nation watched. 8. All cover art images are sharp as presented on StreamMagic, which I realize is only cosmetic. I only use a DLNA server for MP3 music on my PC, to serve files to my Cambridge Audio Evo streamer, which, strangely, does not have direct network file access. This PC is what runs when my NAS is turned off. I never need any transcoding, or web connectivity, integration etc, so Serviio & UMS seem simpler to understand and control. Actially, UMS is almost trivial, but they both seem 'sparse', compared with Emby, and sparseness, I like. Emby seems fuller featured, and although I couldn't measure it appeared slow, maybe doing more things online? - but it really comes down to not wanting blurred images for reasons that seem obscure! And the last server is built into my NAS, and it's simply on or off, with a folder setup list. No fancy up/downscaling or trancodes. That does my FLACs (in preference, but also MP3s to my Evo) and video files to my various TVs. It's old but very robust! I should say I was trying out various servers to see if I could get artwork for the folder at 'band level' - for example a generic Beatles picture when searching 'folders' view, or 'artist' view. Also, pictures for folders that contain sub folders "Disk 1", "Disk 2" etc. I have found that artwork capabilities vary a lot between servers, and none have a proper GUI to let you setup what you see in the virtual folders - I don't like the graphics that basically mean 'undefined image'. A nice Serviio feature is letting me configure the set of virtual folders that I want to view in the client - so I can for example turn off say 'genre' or 'artist/album' views, or anything video oriented (maybe Emby does that too). The thing is, as I see it, a DLNA server kind of presents views of data-based information, but yet none of the GUIs in any of the servers I've tried lets you set the database up properly... I'd like to define the virtual folder and all graphics that are used throughout, but maybe that cannot be done. I'm probably an unusual user in how I like things to work! I'm also OCD about structuring folder names, file names and tags, but users are often sloppy so DLNA has to make order out of user chaos! Thanks for your efforts though! I'll check back in a few versions time.

  11. I wasn't aware frequent usage was a prerequisite for the lifetime Premier license feature set. Regardless of the last time I use a feature, if I have invested in the lifetime license, which I have, I would expect that feature to work when called upon. Maybe there should better expectations set so that future potential licensed users know they have to exercise all additionally licensed features at some regular interval so that those features work when they don't have internet access at that particular time. Or Emby could change their feature set licensing check to grant a longer grace period if the previous licensing check track record has been positive? Take DHCP for example; halfway through a lease period, it checks with the DHCP server for its existence. If the DHCP client doesn't find the DHCP server, it does NOT revoke the IP immediately, but retries later or at the end of the lease. This grace period type of approach would seem more user friendly.

  12. What I would do is make sure the season and episode numbers are set correctly for each episode and then refresh the metadata. You may also want to blank out the external ids at the episode level because those could be pointing to the wrong thing.

  13. Well, my wife and I vacationed in Scotland last week, and when I was bored with the BBC's TV lineup, I thought I'd give Emby a try (although I thought the odds of success with the hotel WiFi were zero). What a pleasant surprise. I got Emby up and running on my iPad in a blink of an eye and we were watching movies as if we were home on our local network. No dropouts. No video or audio problems. I simply could not believe it. I was curious as to the hotel WiFi speed (my home internet speed is 200 mbps up/down) so I ran Ookla and the hotel was close to 500 !!! Anyway...great job Emby !!!!!

  29. Hi, you should have no issues downloading the arm7 APK for your Sony TV. Remember you are downloading for the TV's architecture, not your PC. Your best bet at sideloading would be to use an app you can download from the Play Store on your TV called 'Send Files to TV' -- here is a nice guide to step you through the process of doing that. https://www.howtogeek.com/694493/how-to-sideload-apps-on-google-tv/ Good luck and let us know how you go.

  31. We all would love to have HEVC transcoding, but it comes with it's own set of problems as explained. However, that doesn't mean Emby doesn't support HEVC streaming because the very large majority of streams my server delivers are HEVC encoded. You can pre-process your files offline to getting a much better compression ratio then you could ever get in real-time. If you include an AAC 2 channel stereo audio track as well the media file would never need to transcode because of audio. The same can be done with any subtitles, making sure you have compatible sub formats that won't require transcoding. Short of configured bandwidth restrictions at the server, user or client level the media will play back using HEVC on just about every device including newer browsers from Apple, Microsoft or Google. Pre-encoding the media removes the transcoding complications of HEVC as well as gives you higher quality streams with bitrate savings compared to what you can get doing real-time transcoding (same for AVC). Concerning AV1 support (accurate as of November 1) 100% Support including DRM: Browsers & OS: Chrome, Edge, Android, Android TV, Fire TV Consoles & Streaming Sticks: Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max AV1 Suppor: Browsers & OS: Firefox, Windows Consoles & Streaming Sticks: Playstation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Roku Streaming Stick 4K Smart TVs: Android TV, Google TV, Samsung, Sony, LG, Amazon Fire TV No AV1 support: Browsers & OS: Safari, IOS/macOS (AV1 plays in Chrome/Edge and Firefox on macOS) Safari Roku Ultra supports adaptive streaming video via AV1 unofficially (tested with YouTube app) We have AV1 hardware support on some GPUs already such as Nvidia 3000 and 4000 series GPUs. Intel, AMD and Samsung have all commented additional AV1 support is coming at the chip level. Google has already been requiring AV1 support or new Android TV and Google TV devices. Google's newer Chromecasts support AV1 decode support. Industry AV1 support and adoption has been on the rise and gaing momentum quickly. Not that long ago, it took millions of views to offset the higher encoding costs of AV1, but with recent improvements, the break-even point has dropped to as low as 4,000 views!

  32. I'm running Emby on a Synology DS416play, which can transcode H.264 4K, but not HEVC 4K. I believe many systems are similar in these capabilities. Currently, if a user tries to transcode a 4K HEVC video, my entire system will hang. It would be brilliant if it was possible to disable 4K HEVC transcoding, and only allow direct streams for this format.

  33. Looks like than plex allready have done it and it's works well with JSON files for metada, when i use json from youtube-dl it's comes with all paragraphs, Symbols, and clickable links There is some preview just to watch the diference between plex displaying json and emby So there we can see than Plex have grabbed (Paragraph, Symbols, and Clickable links ) and also, the YouTube Channel as an actor (But i'm not sure if this is possible on emby but will be great) And i also want to inform than the filter (Year filter) display the Years in wrong format like that YYYYMMDD or YYYYDDMM not sure with wish position it it's displaying but it will be nice to fix it and put it to display only the YYYY and not the full date in raw when it's not necessary. All issues i described above are also present in the web ui (locahost:8096) and in Android TV and iOS not sure about WebOS (LG) and other platform. Thanks to improve if possible since it's just a minor update, Kind regards
