Thank you @Luke& @FrostByte, with your help I could resolve the problem by updating to the latest Beta. I had no problems doing so and the server works as intended.

I also use Emby as a books library and would like to make two requests for this use as shown in the attached screenshot. In addition, from my point of view, it would be desirable to display not only the first three lines of the text but the first five lines. Many thanks in advance.

You can't name the chapters in Emby itself, but you can use MKVToolnix to name the chapters and Emby will use those chapter names. Look up the disc on DVD Compare, which will have the runtime for each extra. Easy to then pick out what you want. If it's not listed on there you still don't need a standalone player, you can use MakeMKV's VLC integration to play the disc in VLC while you have it open in MakeMKV, and again once you have runtimes it's easy to pick out what you want.

True, until your TV becomes 5 years old. Once that happens you will have to stick with the last version Samsung accepted or play the 30 day install game to stay current like those who live in countries where Emby isn't in the app store.

Hi. The settings in Emby do not determine how your domain is resolved. If both domains resolve to the proper IP address (via DNS one would presume), then they will both arrive at your server.

I believe Emby are working on a complete Windows install overhaul (and about time!) - so hopefully this muddle of upgrading as a service will be resolved. I do it slightly differently - I stop the service - and then start the app on the desktop (as an admin), then emby updates itself. I then restart it and then shut it down. I then restart the service again. I believe the two methods probably achieve the same thing - but if there are any 'upgrade' steps during the 'auto' upgrade, then just copying the files may not do this. I'm not 100% sure - I think you are likely safe with both methods. @softworkzFYI - Until the new install process is released, what method do you recommend - zip portable overwrite or let the app do the upgrade and then resort back to a service ? Correct, you can't just install stable 4.7 on top of beta 4.8 as DSM sees 4.7 as being an old version. Unless you want to fall back, just load the latest beta release for DSM 7.2

Best way to upgrade is stop the service, rename the system folder in the Emby-Servee folder to syatem.old, download the Emby portable, then just copy the system folder in the portable install zip file to the Emby-Server folder, then restart the service. Once you reconnect you'll see you're on version 4.7.13.

Hi there, I know that I can sort my library by the date when I watched a movie least. I think it would be nice if you can show me this information on the detail page of a movie, too. You can add this date simply over the info line which show me when I added a movie to the library. Thx for considering.
