Unless I'm being a bit blind (highly possible!), I'd love a way to hide a couple of the top green navigation items without hacking it in myself. For example, in Movies I don't want the 'Trailers' item to appear for any profile and for TV I don't need the 'Upcoming' nav link. Obviously not a major issue but thought it would be a nice thing to have, perhaps allowing them to be re-ordered like the home page items but again just a nice extra,

I know this feature has been mentioned a couple of times before some with positive reaction (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17250-share-link-in-web-client/) some with negative (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/23482-temporary-file-sharing-link/) What I am looking for is an easy way to temporarily share something with a friend or family member. Now I understand there can be some concern on copyright material - but at the end of the day there is no way for the EMBY admins to control that 100%, and there are both legitimate and illegal ways to use EMBY. I sync my phone & my wifes phones etc to emby, and have LiveTV configured - so I have legitimate reasons to want to share media on a non-ongoing basis. The Home Photo/Video thing - if needed I have just downloaded the file and sent manually - but there have been a couple of occasions where my father or close friend could benefit from my libraries live tv capability but I cant share without creating an account. I understand I can create accounts - but I don't want these people to access my library all the time. To be completely honest - the people I want to share with aren't that computer literate (hence not using some other techniques for photos etc such as google photos) - I just want to provide a simple streaming link that they could stream by clicking the link. As I said - can understand the illegitimate uses for this - but there are some legitimate ones too. Any way we could have something like this implemented - even if its off by default and you need to enable it - accepting that the EMBY community are not responsible for the type of content you share in doing so? Really useful for me to share a home video or live tv stream to a family member who is not technically minded. One-Click links

HI, you can't, other than manually renaming files. That's why I suggest setting the auto-organize option to only organize for existing series that you already have.

Luke, I got it! I had to connect to the Chrome OS Flex IP Address and not the Emby IP Address it was showing. It connected that way. I am good. Emby rules!

Absolutely no objection to options, but I find (as mentioned ) the border to be preferable in appearance and easier to spot, especially if the background is an image and not plain grey, black etc.

Thanks Luke, after the DSM7.2 update emby needed an update as well and is working fine with no effect as you said, thanks again.

@justinrh I know exactly what you are saying as I have experienced the exact same issue. I'm not sure why support isn't understanding. The way I rectified this was by going to the entire show and marking the whole TV series as "played" and then un-checking it again. Then go to the episode where you want to start watching and go ahead and play it. It will then pick up at that spot for the next time.

Yes exact same problem is still present with ios 2.2.9. Not sure if stills locks the tuner as I will have to check this once I get home from work. But as far as spinning wheel with live tv, still does not work

Hi, you shouldn’t be impacted as everything needed for this is embedded within Emby server.

i tried to change the Public Port and set it back again and now its working fine, with 2 usernames and 2 different iPhone no buffering and smooth app starting . i will try tomorrow morning again and i will update you . thank you .

Seems really fixed after reinstalling everything. I left default addon settings so http/2 is on. Never had a freeze on stop or and of video. Also disabled path sobstitution (but don't think it was the culprit).

--gpus all this is for separate GPU cards, not integrated graphics. --device /dev/dri:/dev/dri this is the proper way to pass through integrated graphics.

Hi, yes you can do that to update immediately, or wait for TerraMaster to publish the update. Unfortunately you just never know with them how long they'll take.

This is actually not a emby problem but a problem with radarr. When upgrading a movie it removes all files in the folder. I've looked for a way to prevent this from happening but doesn't seem to be possible right now in radarr.

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out what all I can safely move (copy over), from one windows 10 home pc to another, to minimize recreating stuff from scratch. The libraries are the easiest, just move the hard disks over. The four files defined on the server dashboard: cache, logs, metadata (just delete transcoding-temp?) I'm guessing the entire programdata/* subsystem can be moved. What else? What about user accounts? Do I need to re-create those? Or are they stored somewhere that can be moved too? Obviously, I have Emby server already installed on 2nd pc. I'll shut them both down, before copying/moving anything. Will do my best to make sure new server has same config as possible, plugins, etc. I'd appreciate any help with this. Cheers

Please stop adding ANY new features, without an option to completely disable them! My current problem is "trailers" I have been using emby for 10 or more years, and recently the trailer button has showed up, give me a setting to stop this. Every time you update emby something shows up that is useless, or downright unwanted, and we are stuck with it! I have had to reinstall older versions of emby just to keep things working right! I've been in electronics for 50+ years, the first 2 rules I learned were THIMK! (spelled wrong on purpose), and IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT! Emby was the best server, now it is becoming unusable due to the extra crap you keep adding, and I am afraid will soon have to be replaced, if I cant find a usable version, without FLUFF!
