Eventually, this invalidates arguments and concerns around transition, compatibility and possible risks involved all transitioning can happen smoothly, I hope that we can get into a public TVnext beta after the 4.8 release - it's really time to go forward now

I would say no, as for the fundamental nature of changes it should be a 5.0 IMO. (please note how elegantly I avoided to say anything useful )

Seems to be limited to live tv only as media hosted in TV Shows and Movies are working correctly. I am seeing an improvement in live tv viewing going from TV Everywhere -> Channels DVR -> M3u -> Emby.

Hi I know people have asked this in many ways before but could we finally get a add to home feature where you can add any item whether it be a collection, tv channel, movie , series or radio station from tune in directly to the home page I know we have favourites but it really isn't the same thing as seeing your selected thing appearing next to all your media categories or even just a plugin that let's you do it . @user101xy Send me a copy to take a look at. If there is an ffmpeg titled file for the same time period, send me that as well. If you're not sure, try doing the playback again on iOS and then try it via the web interface. Send me all logs for the time period of the test. How about this? Under app settings > playback > advanced, separate out and create “Match Video Resolution” function from “Enable Display Refresh Rate Switching” so that these two settings can be selected independent of each other as with ATV.

OK just got the chance to remove Emby from Roku and add it back and it's working again.

Sorry you are still having problems—and apologies for being redundant—but I just want to confirm that you have done ALL of the following steps: turn off Emby Server from App Central remove Emby Server from App Central run the following command from the terminal: sudo rm -R "/volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/emby-server" run the following command from the terminal: sudo userdel emby Just to be sure, reboot. Reinstall Emby Server from App Central. Access it via port 8096 with your server's IP address (same address you use to access your ASUSTOR). If you have done all of these steps and are still having problems, I think your only recourse is to do a factory reset. It's a pain, and I've had to do it twice before, but ASUSTOR support can guide you through the process.

Hi @quickmic, I wanted to ask about the current expected support for syncing theme media. I'm running E4K 8.2.7 on CoreELEC 20.1 with the Embuary skin, and otherwise everything works perfectly. TvTunes 2.0.8 is installed from the author's repo. Emby server 4.8.0.39. When I go to E4K settings -> Sync -> Manage Libraries -> Sync Theme Media, I get the message "Unable to locate TV Tunes in Kodi." Thanks for everything - E4K makes Kodi my perfect media client. Hello After several tests this issue seems to happen ONLY with AAC sound track (5.1 or 7.1 or else) and never with other sound track format like EAC3, TRUE-HD, AC3 ... ET video settings : Audio : All formats selected Stats for nerds with Video and AAC sound track : i've a lot of drop frames so a lot of judders Stats for nerds with Video and TRUE-HD (ATMOS) sound track : i've no drop frames so no judders

I've had it added to Ruko for quite some time now. Maybe remove and add back. For now I installed Emby on the FireTV and it's working perfectly.

After some more trial and error I've managed to get it working. I've just set the port (5zzzz) in the settings for both local and private. I don't know why it didn't work before, I was probably messing up somewhere else. I'm now able to easily access remotely via aaa.aaa.aaa.aa:5zzzz, sorry for the useless post.

Yes, thats my thought too -- give up, and then Emby re-establishes the connection. However......as of now Emby isnt restarting connections if the stream stops, only for hardware issues. Is this something that can be improved? Would be great if a recording gets restarted for ANY reason if the recording stopped before the scheduled end time of the recording.

I don't think so, at least with the standard catalog version. It will usually strip that info and rename it how you have it already. I'm not sure what "Original File Name %fn" does I've never tested it...
