If you look at the unhandled error log it has IntroSkip in the stack trace.2 points

Thanks, that's what @Teddyknuddel specifically asked for and what I was referring to. Hence the plugin was recommended ąs it'd provide that - and more - info and might suit the needs better.2 points

Hi- yes it works on synology - not tested by us but by others involved in the Plugin testing (@frostbyte ). There is a Wiki here which I wrote with Dave .. https://github.com/Cheesegeezer/MediaInfoWiki/wiki/Various-OS-Installation-Help2 points

Each rule has to have 2 properties: And there's no DisplayTitle:HD that you can make rule of, only SD, 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K, same values that are displayed under Video part of item MediaInfo details row below title. Edit: Btw, you can't have two same Property Keys within same rule.2 points

Subtitles is the only dealbreaker against migrating to Emby. I just tried out your server and apps and noticed that controls for subtitles are missing from Apple TV, my main player. I always use size "smaller" (the smallest) and want them as low as possible. When subtitles work perfectly in your apps I will buy Premiere Lifetime in an instant and switch from Plex since your product is fresher and not centralized as theirs. My suggestions are: - Fix subtitle sizing on Apple TV. - Please make them configurable in height on all platforms. Down to touching the absolute bottom of the screen. - Please fix the space between two subtitle rows on Android TV/Chromecast and Web player, on "smaller" setting. They are way too far apart. Otherwise nice product and keep up the great work! Regards, Fredrik1 point

Update your FireFox as 102 had lots of issues reported back then. 103+ resolves all other issues introduced in FF102.1 point

Thanks! Yes, this did help considerably. I'm still having issues with some content but I'll report on that separately.1 point

My underlying filesystem is on a flavor of Linux and is NFS-mounted by both my Plex and Emby instances which allows them to use the exact same structure and files. I use Plex to handle the recording because it's more adept and sorting the content directly into the correct folders for me and Emby is able to pick up the recorded content shortly afterward as well. While there are couple of areas where the Android TV client works differently on two of my Sony TV's, it's a subtle thing and not something that would prevent me from moving 100% to Emby. What -IS- stopping me, however, is the lack of ability to choose a library when setting recordings. I would much prefer using Emby to record because the EPG is significantly more reliable overall where Plex seems to need me to go back and set up my recurring recordings every 4-6 months because they're screwing around with something having to do with which EPG they're using.1 point

It's been a while since i used Plex, and also since i used a tuner with it. It was a bit of a failure. I was using the winHD Duo, and playing tv was hit and miss for the most part so i gave up. Though, we did record a few things, and i recall that (though it was not per user) we could specify the directory in a selection on the record ui, or advanced? Something like that. That's why i said "similar to". Emby is a far better product than Plex, and deserves a better solution. That I heartily agree with. Being able to set the directory per user would be fine, as long as recordings of other users were not available globally (other than the admin account(s) to enable management of them of course).1 point

Hi, yes it is caused by this, however, some of the data is reused from the previous time so it's not quite as intensive as the first time around.1 point

That makes sense except I see it scanning older seasons - I'd think comparison would be within-season to account for intro changes. If metadata refresh clears the introskip flag that explains it, problem solved. I'll keep my eye out now that I've disabled automatic metadata refresh.1 point
-
I don't believe it would matter even if it was installed - that log entry is from the Core Introskip. I believe only a metadata refresh would reset the core Introskip flag - so it may well be related to the metadata refresh you mention. But if you are adding new episodes to old series - then yes, it needs to re-compare them - that's how Introskip works.1 point

However, that is not necessarily going to solve your problem. In fact, it may create more. Please read the help text under the options. Thanks.1 point

Hi. Correct - the end function seems different but the feature would actually be the same - recording to a custom location based on either input, user or whatever. Thanks.1 point

You could try creating Movie MediaStream rule with: Property:Type, Value:Video>click Add Property>Property:DisplayTitle, Value:480p and another rule for Property:Type, Value:Video>click Add Property>Property:DisplayTitle, Value:SD, that should cover majority - if not all - of those.1 point

I didn't see your request for wildcard parsing in your previous post. My mistake. I think Emby core has a IsHd or IsSd flag. I think supporting that would be best for your case. It might actually already be in the MediaStream property list. I'm not sure.1 point

Sure, to each their own. As said, glad Emby is working for you and keeping you (mostly ) as a happy user, and some quirks can always be corrected manually - it's not like I don't have to manually intervene with TMM either. The only difference is I choose what, to what extent and from where I want it to occur, whereas Emby is trying to decide that for me, and I'm somewhat anal regarding my metadata. Anyways, keep enjoying using Emby, hope it'll keep you satisfied for a long time.1 point

Thanks. That's likely due to having <lockdata> tag set to true in TMM-made Emby-type NFO, as that was written by default at some point in the past. Anyway, glad Emby is working for you as it generally is very good at what it does, I just miss the granulation and control that I get with TMM (contrary to you, I scrape nothing with Emby's internal scrapers).1 point

Hello, I'm facing the same issue with Videos suddenly stopping. I think it started when I upgraded to Emby 4.7.11 about 2 weeks ago (I was still on 4.6 before - this is on QNAP), but maybe I upgraded Safari to 16.3 the same day. I have not been able to find a pattern. Just right now, I started a video on Safari (main tab, no PiP, and safari as the front app). 40 seconds into the video, it stopped. If I had "Play next episode" enabled, it would play the next episode. It happens randomly, sometimes after 30 seconds, sometimes it could be after 10 minutes. And for any video. It does not happen in Chrome. I have attached my debug logs, but there's not much in there. I can reproduce the issue easily. Thanks. jm embyserver.txt1 point

It is not possible to run with no user as one is logged in. Refreshing the stats page throws the second error along with console errors. Is it these images requests? Yes, disabled HWA or Direct Play works fine. The error occurs when hardware transcoding is enabled.1 point

It's generally gonna be fine, word of advice would be to save NFOs/artwork with your media and have only single server scraping metadata, i.e. be the main one, while the other(s) would be just reading those (disable all their meta-providers and image fetchers) and they'll happily co-exist, I have at least 2 servers (stable and beta) running concurrently at all times, sometimes joined by third and fourth due to reasons.1 point

If I understand correctly the plugin has to updated to support this change in HDMV0300 discs. As currently they are not supported per the linked topic.1 point

That ffmpeg log appears to be from the conversion or download feature, not from playback. Can you please attach the emby server log and ffmpeg log files from when you played the video? Thanks.1 point

Adding my +1 to this. I never organize my physical media by album, because it makes searching for something impossible and messy (particularly when considering compilation albums). It really doesn't make sense to me to search for an artist by album name. When doing a web search for a song, do you search by artist, or album by default? I can know that The Weeknd has a bunch of songs I really enjoy, but not necessarily the name of each album. Thanks.1 point

Ja Danke. Teddy Knuddel hat mir sehr geholfen. hab mir gleich tinyMediaManager für ein Jahr genommen und das Problem gelöst.1 point

For the first one, should the list be empty on load, with no highlighted alpha-picker button? It makes sense to load the config page faster. Is that what you mean? Pre-choosing top picks is a cool idea. I think you can create a new list, but wait to run the update task until later. Your new list should save, but won't update the actual library until the task is run. That means you could create the top picks, then run the update. Create a new list, but set the scheduled task to run later.1 point

This USB installation is really a pain, setting up all the settings again every time and all that. If you seem to be unable to get the app into the store (we hear the same excuses here since at least 2017, everyone else can do it strangely enough), then you could at least provide a wgt file so that you can update with a script via the SDK...1 point
