Have you tried rebooting your Synology? I had the exact same problem, but I just restarted after DSM Update 4 and now it seems to be working again.

Unless I'm being a bit blind (highly possible!), I'd love a way to hide a couple of the top green navigation items without hacking it in myself. For example, in Movies I don't want the 'Trailers' item to appear for any profile and for TV I don't need the 'Upcoming' nav link. Obviously not a major issue but thought it would be a nice thing to have, perhaps allowing them to be re-ordered like the home page items but again just a nice extra,

If you check your logs, it should till you which medias are throwing those.

I'm frankly a little embarrassed I didn't do that as part of my troubleshooting, I should really know better. That seemed to fix it for me as well. Thanks for the help!

For the first one, should the list be empty on load, with no highlighted alpha-picker button? It makes sense to load the config page faster. Is that what you mean? Pre-choosing top picks is a cool idea. I think you can create a new list, but wait to run the update task until later. Your new list should save, but won't update the actual library until the task is run. That means you could create the top picks, then run the update. Create a new list, but set the scheduled task to run later.

It's the only place I've noticed it. Removing and then copying back the season folder fixed it.

Update - 18 July 2024 OK, so in this update you have the option to Prefer Extended Cast Information So, What does that mean? ADM by default gets the cast as listed from various websites as comma seperated values which it has saved in its database (it doesnt connect to these sites). e.g. for this movie (https://www.jeedoo.com/product/1958794-Big-Booty-White-Girls/) the ADM information server will have added to its database:- the CSV data: Somina, Luisa Rosso, Isobel, Mia Bang, Melanie Crush (Click Details to see this information on the site) ADM will then add the cast Names as Entries, but will NOT assign them with a provider id unless it detects one in the server data directory for that person . To do that you will need this turned on. Without provider ids, the same name will link across all records as tthe same person. A provider id ensures that the person has their own unique record. The feature mentioned here (Prefer Extended Cast Information) will not use the CSV Data, but will check the ADM Server for a data file which contains Actors WITH provider ids, like this: Director: Justin Slayer [IAFDG:2a51536e-201f-4a2d-a6a8-272ba1616184] Cast: Boz [IAFDG:6813ec37-79e0-4c24-a645-912ee51d12af] Cast: H. This will also work in scanning metadata and adding items to the library, so *should* prevent anything failing to use the MovieList for lookups. Pleae note: that the speed of the search depends of the words you use, if you use something common such as "girlfriend" then you will get 1000's of results and the dialog may take a few minutes to respond. I've spent some of my spare time experimenting with machine learning, and applying what I've learned to some code for Emby. Using the massive dataset supplied by MovieLens (https://movielens.org/), I was able to create a machine learning plugin that loads a large set of data into a matrix factorization neural network, and can spit out recommendations for users in emby. Following this article by Microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/machine-learning/tutorials/movie-recommendation and experimenting with their ML.Net libraries things started to get pretty interesting. The project itself is rather large, and I thought I'd share what I've come up with so far, maybe other people are interesting in how the neural network recommendation service is working when testing it against movies inside an Emby library. It's pretty cool. The idea could be to create an in-depth recommendation system for emby, or possibly utilize this as a way to create a new "Top Picks" style plugin that is user based. Which also might be really cool. I'll try and answer some questions up front if I can: What is Matrix Factorization, and How does it work in Machine Learning? In a nut shell, if you have similar tastes in movies as other people in the dataset, and they have rated a movie you haven't seen in a while, or have never seen, then that movie is recommended to you as a possible item to watch. The Neural Network will predict what you, or your users may rate the movie if it was watched. Is this plugin run locally on my machine? Yes, this plugin creates a matrix factorization neural network locally on your machine, which is trained in a scheduled task. Is any of my personal data shared during the training process of the neural network? No, your personal data is completely safe. no user data is shared with any data provider, and stays safely on your server. How does the neural network recommend items? The MovieLens dataset is an accumulation of almost 25 million data point on 27 thousand movies with almost 100 thousand users ratings. The ratings data is altered on your server to include your user data and then the neural network is trained on all the data points, allowing it to predict what movies in your library you and your users may want to watch. Once the "recommender" is trained it then saves a model and uses that to predict recommendations for users. The NN can be retrained when new users are added to your emby server, including them in the recommendation process. Asking your users to "like" or "Favorite" items in the library will certainly help factoring recommendations, however it is not entirely necessary. Does the Matrix Factorization Only look at "Liked/Favorite" Data? No, other columns are also feed into the neural network, like item genre. If one of your users do not "heart" the media on their account, their watched status and item play-states are factored into the recommendation predictions. If they watch more items that fit into a certain category, this is scanned in and calculated. It is best to have several movies marked as "liked/favorite" in the library form each user to get best results. Is it cross platform Yes, I believe it is. ML.Net is a cross-platform library using .netstandard 2.0. With regards to the runtimes associated with the plugin the following are available, and would be included in a dll: Linux64 Linux ARM Linux ARM64 OSX64 OSX ARM64 Win86 Win64 It is all fairly preliminary, definitely keep this in mind On the settings page it is possible to train the NN Model (top), and also run recommendation predictions (bottom). Once the network has created it's model, it is possible to run this model again and again against the library (due to it's 27 000 movie titles included). Selecting the "Recommendation Predictions" begins the second task of calculating what each user might like. Browsing back to the "Recommendations" tab, outlines each users predictions. It shows what the NN predicts your score would be out of 5. The results are definitely interesting. Sure, these are all new movies I should watch, and they are pretty much some of the most famous of the year so far. So the results seem to be pretty close to what I would expect. The training of the model also only use 20 iterations, to be honest I don't know if that is enough, or too much. It's all new. What I can say is that loading the ML.Net Assemblies work, and loading the MovieLens dataset into the NN also works. I have added toggles and inputs to try and test different training scenarios, but it's all kind of unexplored.

Would we be able to add onto the statuses in Emby? I would like to see the ability to have airing, returning, cancelled, and ended.

Those crashes only seem to happen with Series. So, let me try and fix that.

Since those crashes are not happening to everyone, I really wonder what they have in common. Does not seem to be the folder structure or the CPUs, server version also seems to be the latest beta. Can also somehow not believe that the exception is thrown because of usage, I got got 8 threads assigned to the VM and 16 GB Ram and the version before did not crash. Anyone else on Linux having crashes ?

Both versions need the same format so your Proper is incorrect.

The issue here is Artist-Album header to show all albums, to me this should have nothing to do with tracks. Folder view and Album header from Artist should show the same sort order correct? Assuming same sort option is selected. I know my albums do assuming there isn't something different in SortTitle. So this OP example should list all albums sequentially CD01 thru CD26.

You have to admit though, the present tuning speed is still quicker than the time taken to create stuff to fix it and then not implement it.

Your path is wrong, it has to be in its own series subfolder as it is its own series, so: /tv/Dexter (2006) for Dexter's 8 seasons /tv/Dexter - New Blood (2021) for its Season 1

Also, some clients do not require Premiere subscription/App unlock (PC or Mobile Browsers, Roku, Apple TV, Smart TV (LG and Samsung)) for full playback, but all require it for Premiere only features (like LiveTV), so you might check on those, if you have any. Hasta donde se lo mínimo que puedes pagar es un mes de Premiere, en cuanto a la capacidad de tu servidor podría bastar si no hay transcodificacion. Es decir que tus clientes tengan la capacidad de reproducir nativamente tus peliculas, porque ese cpu no creo que pueda soportar transcodificar mas de 1 quizas 2 transcodificaciones si me apuras. De cualquier modo creo que valdría la pena que lo probaras tu mismo.

Ok. After some search, I found out that the "group info" is sent through the stream only when we use the flag "type=m3u_plus" in the URL. I previously used only "m3u", this is why I didn't received the group info. NOW, emby give me all tags. Thank you @Luke to pointing me in the right direction!

TVDB originally had the latest season as Season 9 of the original series, but then that changed, was removed and it officially became it's own series. I suggest you pull it out of 'Dexter' and create it as the series name 'Dexter - New Blood' with a single season. Perform a library scan. The TVDB Id is 412366

@chef after using the alpha picker for some days, I'd have some suggestions if you have the time somewhen: - Do not start loading the A letter after accessing the plugin automatically - I always need to wait for it to load before I can click another letter. - add some busy info when switching the letter. Currently, when switching e.g. from A to B, you do not see what is happening - that it is actually loading the "B" list. So you can't be sure whether you really clicked a letter or not. Best regards

Not without season but all in a single season, Season 1 - Edit Metadata>Display order: Absolute. But your folder structure needs to reflect that and TV show needs to be rescraped. Edit: As for Roku client app, not using so wouldn't know does it have a feature to display all seasons episodes flattened in a single season as AndroidTV client app does, even without Absolute ordering on series. @ebr Edit2: No, it doesn't have All Seasons view.

Maybe is related to the fact that with emby app if I cast to embyforkody, but also to upnp renderer, resume point is not respected. It seems to be something in emby server and not the embyforkody addon....

HI, if you keep nfo files it will contain the date added value, and then when you upgrade your video file you can retain this information. My guess is that you either don't have nfo files, or radarr is deleting or overwriting them when it upgrades a file.

That was exactly what I supposed. But i did not find such a behaviour described in the help for the libraries. So now it is documented for others to read. By the way: I solved it, after your post, by switching to a new library of type mixed content. This also worked very well. (The adressed child might have difficulties in switching from one library to another. Therefore I prefer to have one Library, that fits all. At least for the moment, I try todo it so. So if I'm using a hand made M3U I should really have no use for either xteve or iptvboss? From what I can tell, all iptvboss does is output an m3u file that you can set up with the gui; since I'm happy with my own m3u does using iptvboss or xteve give me any benefit? I'm just trying to figure out the best way to have iptv running smoothly in Emby with publicly available free streams before I think about moving to any paid services.

This is an Adult Person Image provider. (Erotik Adult Stars) It is a very lightweight, very minimal intrusion web scraping image provider. You must click on an empty person image to trigger it - don't ask me to automate it. (I won't) It works in the background when you click a person image. The image won't be displayed right away and there will be no person page loading slow down The image will be available if it exists shortly (within minutes), for when you refresh the page - give it at least 5 seconds. There is no identify feature How it works, It is triggered when you click on a blank person thumbnail. It asks the server for a head respose (OK) if a persons page exists, if it doesnt it exits and does nothing more. If the page exists it searches for the Headshot and downloads it to the People cache, assigns it to the Person Thumbnail. Any idea what the timeline is for this? I'm subscribing monthly to Emby and Plex and in general, like Emby better. It really is nice, you have all done a great job on it! However, the commercial marking and commercial skip that I can do on Plex using my HDHomeRun is a killer feature and something I will really use. I've tried it the past couple weeks now, and last night canceled my local channels through Dish so I'm going full speed ahead with Antenna TV and streaming. By the way, I love how the live TV icons show up on the main screen of my Shield TV. As far as I know, Plex doesn't do this.

That works, but when your library has almost 4000 items in one folder, it becomes a pain doing that. That's the only way i've been able to correct it is going page by page. I don't have this issue with Plex.
