Hello Team, an option to disable burning in subtitles systemwide to avoid the high cpu usage of this process would be nice! Eventually do not even show such subs as option if disabled. Greetings!

I know some do not like the visible check mark that is overlayed on movie posters when the movie is marked as watched. I do like it and find it useful. In fact, I would like to see the same thing for TV Shows that are marked as watched (all episodes watched). Obviously, some (maybe most) would not want this, so making it optional would be great. It seems inconsistent that it works that way for movies, but I can find no way to make it happen for TV shows. The best solution, of course, is to make it optional for each category.

Yeah that's what I mean - the current native AndroidTV app (what's available in the Amazon app store) looks a lot better than the new version (upper screenshot). At least IMHO... And this looks pretty silly on a 65" TV - I mean it's nice to have the options there but presentation looks ancient...

Hello it would be nice to have a Manual Subtitle Offset. So that I can tap the Offset time at myself. Right now, in the Android App I only can press -50ms or +50ms. If I want key in - 2 Minutes, its long way to do it. It would be easier if i can type - 2 Minutes and all is done and not press -50ms till i have reach it. Regards Firefox

I don't know, because Person Fetchers are not able to be set precidence in th User Interface (UI) @Luke would have to answer that, but you can see in the logs if it got data, and if you have data explorer from softworx installed you can look which one supplied the data. If you hadn't had data from TMDB before then unless the Amazon on filled in the Imdb ID (which it also does if its available)and TMDB took over it would come from Amazon.

This will always fail as long as your script files are sourced from a file:// URL. You need to run a local web server for whatever you're developing here.

The conflict here comes when a movie comes out and there is zero foresight of a sequel, so you do not have any <set>/collection info for the first movie. Then years later the sequel comes out and cannot be grouped until first movie metadata is refreshed. To me it is excessive but there is the per library "After the initial import, automatically refresh metadata from the internet:" every 30/60/90 update option.

This one has the info so now you would have to check the first one to ensure it has proper information also but likely it will not as I remember having to refetch this movie. <set tmdbcolid="1041695"> <name>R.I.P.D. Collection</name> </set>

This issue makes the android app unusable imo. If pip is accidentally enabled, the tube completely gives up and you manually need to restart it by powering it off.

Avidemux is another option, it has a nice UX and it can copy the video and audio tracks but it's audio convert codecs are limited (no DTS), it's also really slow to load a file. I use Vidcoder for compression and XMedia Recode when I want the video track copied, I agree the UX is clunky and overly complicated but it does work. I also spent time digging for software a while ago but there just aren't many programs that have video copy as a feature.

Just ran into this today on a FireTV stick running the Android (non ATV) app. Definitely needs to be an option. My video (a high bitrate 4K video) kept playing and basically made my Firestick almost unusable.

I have a cheap TV in a secondary room that technically supports HDR but it looks terrible because the TV can't get very bright and it knocks the sound out of sync with the image. I turn HDR off on that TV.

Hello, sorry but thought I’d already posted my remedy, which was to uninstall both Emby and Plex, then re-install only Emby, this worked for me I’m thinking maybe both servers running at the same time somehow caused the problem, as I was evaluating Plex and Emby to see which one I found easier to use, anyway all good now, so thank you

That is a server choice as we have https and http app.emby.media options. Your server has to be configure with ssl to manually use https. Will link Lukes's comment when I find it about this.

At least on clients where it's possible, I think it's also preferable (both better looking and more natural) to expand the original in place rather than have a popup (which you then have to remember whether to click inside it or outside it to dismiss...). It's also a shame that you cannot expand the descriptions in the season listings - you have to go to the episode screen and only then get the "more" option. In fact, the "..." next to the description in the season listing is easily clicked by mistake at this point, because the ellipsis is often used by other programs to mean "show more". Paul

Search for UHD630 and you'll find plenty of hits. That said it can typically handle 3-4 4k HDR to 1080p SDR transcoding streams. Like everything it depends on what you're doing. Burning in subtitles and/or high bitrate output will affect that and possibly reduce it. I usually get that level of performance from an i3-8100.

Intention - yes. There also exists internal consensus for making it available to selected client apps/devices. The keyword being "selected", though. The regular themes are adaptable and able to work well even on rather low-profile clients - for example by disabling visual effects, animations, transparency and gradients. The WMC theme in contrast, strongly relies on all these things and makes intensive use of bitmaps with alpha-blending and newer CSS features. Illustrating that by example is one of the reasons why I have given some insights into the anatomy of the toggle control in the post above. Getting this to work on all clients/devices is a lengthy process with continuous work, reacting to user feedback and making changes accordingly - something that @Luke has painfully gone through for the core themes over the years. You might be able to imagine his reaction when I had told that the theme would be using around 280 bitmaps (for comparison, bitmap count used by core themes: 1). Thanks @Luke for still not turning it down! But what's clear is that the burden for maintaining this across all apps and devices cannot be put upon him, neither do I have much interest in working on degrading the experience to make it work on less capable devices. Either it works and looks in the way it's supposed to do or it's not the kind of theme it's meant to be. When a client device isn't capable to handle the theme smoothly, it won't be available for those. Candidates on the "very likely" side are apps running on desktop PCs with decent hardware or Android devices with powerful CPU and graphics. Rather unlikely are non-recent smart TVs or low-power/low-mem SBCs and sticks. For everything in between, it's yet to be determined. There's also a "No" side, which includes clients that are using different UI frameworks like the Android TV app or Roku. As you can see, while the question is simple, the answer is less, as I do not want to create any false expectations. The above is all I know for know.

So I was a little premature in stating that the issue was resolved. The subtitle offset buttons work now and I can change them plus or minus but they don't actually change the subtitles themselves. Sorry about the false resolution.

It shouldn't be this hard. I used to run an infrastructure in AWS with websites, SQL Servers, FTP sites all with forwarding and firewall ports opened. The trick is to make the changes in both the AWS setup and on the machine itself.
