Disable the user, then re-enable it - this will force re-authentication using your new password. If this is your only user - then create another Admin user first, then logon as that Admin, THEN disable the other account. Remove the temp Admin account once you are happy.

why has the AndroidTV emby App ten times more Options then the Apple one? on my Android emby App i can in the right corner change much more options like poster size etc. the AppleTV app doesent have this options and even under app settings self there a only a few options on Apple while Android has much more will there be a update in the near future so Android and Apple are on the same Level?2 points

Yes for now that's an open issue. It's on our to do list to resolve, but for immediate relief I would suggest renaming the file.2 points

@Luketested this on Server 2022 VM with my cert in IIS and did not get the error (via 443) then tested with Cert in Emby and retested via Emby port (8919) and got the error. Wonder if this will change in NET 7? Breaking change: AllowRenegotiation default is false - .NET | Microsoft Learn Not sure why we don't see this in previous Windows versions though?2 points

Since we can now detect end credits, or manually add them in other cases, it would be nice to see this, rather than an automatic percentage/time remaining, trigger the "next episode" popup and decide whether an episode is resumable or not. Even better if it could expand to movies for the latter point.1 point

Emby Server 4.7.11 - New Intuitive TV Guide Improvements & Other Fixes This is the latest point release of Emby Server. It's a small maintenance release, containing improvements to existing functionality as well as a couple fixes for user identified issues. New Intuitive TV Guide Option Panel for Configuring the Display of Your Guide Data. 4.7.11 features a slick new way to quickly adjust the different options used for the TV Guide grid. Click the icon shown below highlighted by the yellow box. This opens a new panel where you can set over a dozen options including the sort order of channels, the channel groups (tags) you wish to see (or hide) as well as the data used in the far left column representing the channel. The rest of the options configure the information displayed with the program data. Setting the Channel Display to Title gives you this look in the first column. Hi Radeon, I would like to make a small contribution to your theme movies, as there doesn't seem to be theme movies for many of the movies in my library I would like the opportunity to donate 2460 carefully made 1080P theme movies. I have confirmed that they can just be dropped in to the backdrops folder and they will play perfectly on the latest version of Emby Version 4.7.11.0. There is no need to modify these file names at all they simply play and they play really well. The reason I have not contributed them through auto upload is that I just created them and I have not yet added them to my own library. Wanted a way for images to refresh on dynamic collections to reflect their current content, so I schedule this script periodically. requires powershell core. Notes set testmode to $false when tested take care to test on a backed up library - the script deletes primary images.. add a tag eg "cyclepic" to config.psd1 and library objects you want to have their primary image recalculated issues and suggestions welcome CyclePictures v0.0.0.1.zip

I assume your bug reports are for .21? I haven't tried in a while (I use a Shield Pro), but from memory, it used to be only MP4's, MKV's did not work. The 100% way to try is to copy the MKV to a USB stick and see if the internal LG Player will play it with DV - if it does, then so should emby.1 point

I bought a new TV: LG OLED EVO C2 55C27LA (2022) I have a lot movies with DV but none of them are switching to DV using Emby, they just start normal HDR10 Is DV still not supported with Emby and LG?1 point

Because you downloaded the portable version and you've been running it from there. Depends how one looks at it, there's practically no difference between "installed" and "portable" version, you might just as well rename that folder by removing that 4.4.2.0 and place complete server folder in the location of your choosing.1 point

Windows 7 tweaking with IISCrypto. But yes before changing the registry keys I got same error as @eskador Was able to connect after changes. But in the end will be very limited to weak/obsolete ciphers. But can be done. Note this has absolutely nothing to do with Emby though.

Thanks! That took some hoops to jump thru. No such file initially found in Windows search. Then I discovered for who knows why, search settings were set to exclude dozens of C drive folders many of which seemed likely locations for that. So, I removed all from the excluded folder list. Then I recalled that an earlier search today suggested Emby files might be in AppData folders which are hidden, so changed Explorer settings to show hidden files in case search used the same setting. Then waited for Search to scan the new locations..... Bingo. There is just ONE occurrence of EmbyServer.exe. It's In C:\USERS\ADMIN\DOWNLOADS\EMBYSERVER-WIN-X64-4.4.2.0\SYSTEM.OLD. The date on that folder and file is 2022-11-05. Note the .OLD in folder name. There is also a folder C:\USERS\ADMIN\DOWNLOADS\EMBYSERVER-WIN-X64-4.4.2.0\SYSTEM (no .OLD on the end) dated 2022-12-13. It does not have the server .exe. I did not compare file by file but they both have over 400 files but the .OLD has 1 more file. Does this sound like some kind of failed update attempted on December 13th? It's quite possible that I had not used EMBY since then.1 point

Not according to your log. Info App: Adding HttpListener prefix http://+:8205/ Your port forwarding needs to be internal 8205 not 8096. So if I have this correct Emby Local is 8205 and Public is 58196 so Port forwarding should be external 58196 internal 8205 to 192.168.50.27 Probably need to verify firewall rule for 8205 also.1 point

Do you have access to the domains nameserver to create nameserver records? If yes you could DNS-01 authentication which would only needs you to prove ownership of the domain by creating a special TXT record. Hi @Luke, the issue with Safari is still existing (Chrome is working fine). Meanwhile I switched to the latest docker container of emby. Now it also seems to occur more reliably when these steps are taken to reproduce it (but I guess it's only valid for my system setup...). Please read this post first. I was wondering if it would be possible to add something that would allow you to skip the intro to shows automatically while binge watching. When watching Netflix it does this for some shows, and im not sure if thats a feature of Netflix itself or a Chrome extension i use called "Flix Assist" but it would be a nice feature to have within Emby as well. and possibly even create a custom timed skip for specific shows1 point

I've been running with Nested Collections for a while now and have not seen any issues. Creating them involves creating the links directly in the database which is strictly unsupported, so if you do not want to wait for the official support, then ping me a PM and I'll share the document I wrote on how to do it. edit 2nd Feb 2024 - This no longer works ... As an example - This is the Infinity Saga Collection comprising of the Phase 1,2 & 3 (Collections).

I was about to ask if this was possible. Use Trakt to do this and it's not exactly the most reliable setup. This feature would be great to keep my beta server in sync with my main server.1 point
