Watched statuses are definitely something that should not be changed arbitrarily by an external plugin or an app, and I sincerely don't fancy the idea of Top Picks doing so within my system. @chef, could you kindly make that an option, as just as @Bottles51, neither myself nor number of my users are hiding watched content?

Me personally, I don't like the idea of watched status being altered. But of coarse this problem is not affecting me as I do not hide watched content from myself or other users.

I've pushed an update to the musicbrainz plugin to start grabbing this information. If you keep it enabled and prioritized ahead of discogs, then that will save a request with discogs because we won't have to do a search to lookup the id.

Hi, you can do this with the folder sync plugin, but yes, at some point we plan to move this feature to the convert feature.

There is a Ids parameter available for the Items API if you need to retrieve a specific Item. And you can add PremiereDate to the Fields parameter to get the Premiere Date in the response. Exactly, it'd be system-wide status change and IMHO that is out of the scope of this plugin.

Since watched status are by providerid not library it can't be alter without core changes. Just like the "Hide fully played content from latest media" is a global setting per user.

The new plugin did retrieve more Album Artist images than were in my music library before, but still not all. Also, the links at the bottom of Album and Album Artist pages do not include any link to Discogs, just to various MusicBrainz and TheAudioDB pages (example below).

This is about AV1 en-coding. AV1 de-coding is supported for quite a while already. We just haven't added support for it in Emby yet.

Can we have an option to flatten series if there are XX episodes or less. Just provides the ability to eliminate one frustrating click. I wouldn't want it on my 1,000+ episode Looney Tunes series. However, when you only have one or two seasons in a series, it helps drill down easier.

A core change to have this setting be configurable on a row by row basis on the Home Screen would indeed be a better solution. for now I guess the plug-in can leave watched state alone and I’ll either disable hiding or disable the plug-in. thanks!

Bezueglich Skin, du kannst gerne den Embuary Skin verwenden wenn der bei dir stabil lauft. Gibt auch ein paar Patches fuer die dependeny plugins des Skins. Kannst bei Bedarf etwas einlesen, der Skin wird nicht von mir supportet aber ich bekomme mit was so alles geschrieben wird und wo Probleme auftreten. Allgemein zu Skins: Alle custom Skins (also nicht der default Skin aber so ziehmlich alle anderen) unterstuetzen vollstandige Anpassbarkeit. Die Auswahl vom Skin haengt in erster Linie davon ab, ob dir der Aufbau (Menu links, oben oder unten) und das Design gefaellt. Den Rest kann man eigentlich immer nach eigenen Wuenschen modifizieren. Ist halt nur etwas Arbeit.

So my Windows EMBY Server died and and I migrated everything to my Intel MacBook Pro using a 5400 2.5 mm drive. The performance is amazing compared to the old machine that died! The Server backup plug-in worked super well. The transition was very smooth. i will see how much Performance I can get with 4 simultaneous streams running or whether I need to upgrade to USB-C SSD.

I don't know how your plugin works, but is there a reason you can't retrieve the items with a user-less query to avoid the watched filtering?

You have downgraded your mkvtoolnix version....thats why. mkvpropedit V71 + V71.1 caused the corruption on these files. On windows, open mkvtoolnix, load the file in the multiplexer windows, and start multiplexing. thats all. But i hope the next mkvtoolnix version will be bugfree.

Would it be possible to add new themes so we can customize the look and feel of the emby app a little bit more. I really like how embuary looks for example. the emby app looks similiar to embuary but only if i go into the recommended category. Would be cool if we could make our movies and series categorty look like the recommended area instead of boring grid view. for comparisson some screenshots.

The difference is that one is added to the album as an album artist, and the other just as a contributing artist or composer. That is the distinction between the Albums and Appears On section.

Sind zwar im Moment noch ein paar fachliche "Unklarheiten" - wie "factory reset" enthalten, aber wenn ich davor sitze, werde ich das schon rausfinden. Sehr verständlich und vorallem - sehr wertschätzend ! - erklärt! Zum Skin - ich kenne keinen besseren im Moment, der mir diese Vielfalt von Embuary" bietet, angefangen von der Oberfläche, über das einfache hinzufügen von Knoten, die "imbd" Einbindung, Trailer usw., das ich unsicher bin, auf was ich hier umsteigen sollte. Und vorallem, auf welchem Skin ich die Vorteile meines Premium ausnutzen könnte. Ich liebe diesen Skin, klar beendet er sich ab und zu, aber noch siegt die Bedienung, Optik und Inhalt. Ich sehe mir die anderen Punkte mal an und teste was ich anpassen kann.

Years. Actual years, that we've been waiting for this. I purchased the lifetime membership a couple years ago, give or take. I love Emby, generally, but this has been such a pain, for so long, that I ended up rage-installing Plex last week. I absolutely hate to say it, but they are crushing you guys on this issue. They're everywhere, including Samsung TV's. I greatly prefer Emby's UI and other features, but if I can't use it on my televisions, it's just-shy of pointless.

Quick one from me, will this update coincide with 4.7.8 changes or more inline with Web UI and ET changes. Will it include intro skip and credits updates. Allow the new enhanced info pane for library items. cheers Luke

I'm using quicksync and NVENC and have a script to detect the available encoder. I'm getting very similar looking results on HLS encodes on NVENC at about 60% and quicksync at 50-55%. This is a single pass. x265 looks noticably better at 50% bitrate but it doesn't improve at less so that 50% number seems to be the wall. This is not a small gain and this is for live video ie single pass. I do 10 second chunks to get these results, 3 second chunks need about 10% more bitrate. I pull 4k videos off sports cams at highschool football and basketball games (RTSP h.264 source) and encode them into HLS live with a 1080p and a 720p tier. The i5/quicksync box can do 5 h.265 1080p encodes so handling one camera with dual encodes is easy. I have multiple cameras at another site with multiple cameras and the i5/quicksync couldn't get the 6th encode down properly so had to move to a 3050 which handles 3 cams just fine. These are published to a website with resiliosync and cached with cloudflare and I have a simple android player that can be side loaded on google tv or fire tv sticks and I have a landing page that works in unmodified chrome so parents and families can watch the games. A student at one of the schools took the android player example from the android SDK and modified it to show the HLS pages for the games and share a file for sideloading. I'm running this in production. We have plenty of horsepower available and great support in ffmpeg to encode on a 7 generation old CPU. Player support is absolutely steller these days. Every single player available on the market right now support h.265. every one. browsers so, mobile devices do, there is no issue with playback and no issue with encoding performance on most common hardware. Heck, you can get 2 h.265 encodes out of an atom CPU that's a few generations old even. Emby already plays h.265. A dev coming in here and saying all these impossibilities is rediculous. I don't use Emby these days because of this and it looks like I might as well just give up on the project entirely if it's going to make excuses that are plain false and live in the past.

With that structure i can see misidentification happening easily as you are working with as series called "The Code" with seasons separated by structure. Since there are multiple shows named "The Code" you may be required to name it "The Code (2014)". I would expect issues like this for all same named shows. But what is your library metadata provider order? Do you have "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" enabled in library settings?
