I've started preliminary work on another plugin to solve one of *my* problems, and I'd like to get some feedback from Emby land to see if any one else is interested. I have a lot of movie extras and more every day. I also like all my media to have decent looking art. I'm lazy on top of that. So, to avoid having to manually create art for every Extra I add, I've been playing around with a plugin that would generate Extra art on the fly, using art from the parent movie as a background, while overlaying the type and title. It would be configurable and look something like this: I'm also thinking about a task for sorting the extras by user preferred type. So, would this be useful to anyone else (more work, better plugin) or should I just build it for me (bare minimum, ugly plugin)?

@DarkStar1977 You have to go to the Catalog tab, then the plugin and use the version dropdown.

Fixing DNS solved this problem. Apparently when I updated from 20.04 to 22.04 some while back it messed with my DNS. Since that is a machine that I don't use to browse etc. I was unaware of the DNS resolution issue. I went ahead and also updated to 4.7.8.0. I was also unaware of any updates because DNS was honked up. Geesh... or DOH! depending on your view.

Starting from today, you can find a new plugin in the catalog: Transcoding Tests The plugin allows to perform a wide range of tests using a defined set of source files. These tests will help to better understand user issues, compare the behavior on different systems, while it rules out many of those factors which are often hard to impossible to rule out. Another use case is benchmarking and/or comparing the effects of different settings on performance and quality. Finally, this allows to recognize and analyze regressions and differences across versions more reliably. The results are stored outside the log folder and are not subject to regular cleanup. Each job execution is archived as a single file and those can be kept even when the actual output is cleared. The initial version includes essential functionality. From here on, we will see what else might be needed or useful. Emby Music Ideas In the beginning I want to say once again that I LOVE EMBY Because I love music same as movies. Emby now replaced all my Qnap apps, Plex, and maybe in the future even more? Some my ideas how to make Emby Music better (in my opinion): Music: Click on the TITLE to show on track the Playlist window - most of the times playlist is fixed position if you don’t scroll. I have 30k tracks, so it’s impossible for me to find actual playing song ———————————— Music: add “Play 100 Random Track” , “Top Rated”, “Never Player” - please, please, please ! Qnap made this very nice -> ————————— Settings -> Home Screen -> Music -> Default Screen: add: SONG from the drop menu. It’s my default place where I go. And maybe Favourite would be nice touch, as well ————— Add: Editing tab order Add: Favorite tab is missing ———— Add: Sorting by name, folder, date, time, size. Add: Visible Bpm, Size MB, Year info, when song plays. Add: 1-5 star rating for songs, would be nice. Add: Track number (!) Add: SEARCH box ! Haha mate GitHub is a bit of a beast to get your head around so don’t feel bad. You approved the PR but then you also need to ‘Merge’ it. The Approve button will just change to a Merge one If you can try and keep your repo up to date with your local changes I can probably find some time to jump back in and tackle some of the issues in the register. I want to keep working on the multi episode stuff but those merge conflicts were killing all my time If you can push your changes often rather than when ready for a release, I can pull them to prevent conflicts too. @hackthis02 Oddly, the update to 3.0.3.11 wasn't automatically offered to me either. Same for the Folder Sync update that was released earlier today. Weird... Anyway, just manually updated to version 3.0.3.11 of the statistics plugin from the catalog, and I'm happy to report that the issue I reported about with respect to episode counts in the "collected" column on the "User-based show progress" not being reported correctly is resolved. Hopefully others report the same. Once again, thanks for keeping this plug-in up and running!!!

on the query tab just use the simple saved query to select * from the table to give you all the fields, there is only one table.

Yes. It's not saved playlist. I don't have playlists. When I'm listen music, I listen ALL music. Without Sort Button is hard to use track list.

@chef I think you want to keep this so people can set the filter to only delete certain file types - think of it as a safe guard so you don’t inadvertently blow away everything with a bad configuration.

Sort Title covers Star Wars though depending on the naming scheme. But yes alternate sort order is needed preferably a drag and drop order.

For pure encoding/decoding purposes. An Arc A770 would be overkill, I have an A380 (£149.99) - Which HW Encodes/Decodes AV1. (Granted Emby player doesn't have HW Acceleration for AV1 playback yet - Nor the server HW Decoding when needs transcoding) H265 > H264 Transcoding is blistering fast with the right drivers though. However, if you're not interested in AV1 encoding, the intel UHD iGPU will more than suffice.

Hi, thanks for the feedback ! Yes we can look auto-scrolling to ensure the now playing track is visible. Most of these other features will be satisfied in future updates once we have smart playlist features.

Found the the feature and I have been able to schedule with just date, time and channel info. It is so assuring when a Lunar Module, Self Driving Car, Emby, etc. have an override so a human like Neil Armstrong or us less capable humans have a way to bypass automatic scheduled technology. This is something I believe will never be available on Plex, as many other superior features that Emby has. Thus I will become a lifetime subscriber to Emby. Thank you

Does the resolution pattern allow us to create a new layer in the file system based on resolution?

I checked my dns settings and everything is fine. I can connect using a browser to domain_name.hopto.org:81 which is remote access for my BlueIris Security Cam software but cannot connect to the ports associated with my arr's using a browser. Very strange.

I believe their stated goal is to eventually go to one Android app partly due to the time spent developing two apps. There are a few more things in the ATV app I hope they bring over to the standard Android app before it goes to the store for TV devices.

The driver was upgraded and the system was replaced with Windows Server 2022, but this operation did not work. I replaced the J415 N5105 I7 10700 CPU with this problem. But when I changed the decoder sequence and set DX11VA Intel (R) UHD Graphics to the top, something magical happened and it worked normally. Guess what!?!?!! The folder name will actually honor the resolution, it just doesn't show it in the configuration. I wonder when I wrote that in there? I'll be a monkey's uncle LOL! I will make the changes in the javascript show it will actually show the resolution as an option. EDIT: It's done! surprised myself there LOL!

@hackthis02 After updating to 3.0.3.9 (and subsequently to 3.0.3.10), I'm seeing wrong episode counts in the "collected" column on the "User-based show progress" page. Series that I know for a fact I have 100% of the episodes for are showing missing episodes. It seems to be isolated to series where there are multi-part episodes combined into single episodes (i.e. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - S06E01-E02). But I have to review more of the impacted series to confirm. Issued is resolved by rolling back to 3.0.3.7. I noticed this before heading out to a late night "shift" at work, and didn't get a chance to download the log. I'll do so when I get home later tonight (or tomorrow morning...I hate being on call ).

You'd have to look at your containers to find the one(s) using up the space in the image file. Not throttling is unlikely to be contributing to your problem unless the files are being created inside the container. Throttling is more of a workload efficiency feature for transcode or remux and it slows down the conversion once a reasonable buffer is reached. Your two posted sessions were very short and remux is very fast yet the converter continued at full speed until the sessions ended, past the "reasonable buffer" point. It could make the system use more resources than needed if it were to convert a full movie or episode to the end but a user only watches a few minutes or the session has to restart for some reason.

In the mean time, I have this version below. verison1.6.41.38 Added a Corrections toggle at the bottom of the "settings" page that will enable or disable the corrections ability. TODO: Find kingy's Grid layout html for the Activity page to implement the change... I can't find it on github. Where did it go... I might be github illiterate. Add remove initial files when preprocessing option. (FR) Resolution to Parent folder. ( @Cheesegeezer are we going to add resolution to just movie folder names? or TV Shows as well?) We still have issues when provider data is not available in a different language from English. AO will sort in English as default. Do we wait for the specific language to become available, which means waiting to sort the file?? Or add the ability to change the directory names using the corrections when the data is available?... Clear browsing data to show the new settings.

The Emby skill for Alexa is not available in the Alexa app Are there any plans to launch it in Spain? or install it somehow?
