Yea I'm not expecting my Shield Pro to be able to play AV1 well in s/w - but hopefully there is a new one soon which has h/w support.2 points

No problem. External is just a test. When I check the file we can fix this to start quickly as internal subs as well. I will download that tomorrow and test. Clock past midnight now, so time for sleep!2 points

Given the number of times I have picked up my Android device while casting to a TV and accidentally jumped to a different time in the program, it would be great to have Lock Screen available when casting, too, not just when playing back directly on a mobile device.1 point

@Happy2play I think i might have solved it. I have now tested 4 different series Greys Anatomy, House of Dragons, Rings of Power and Station 19. They were added and were found in not more than a min or so. What change did i do? I went through my network, and saw that the portforwarding was correct, just to the wrong IP. And then it hit me, i made a new Emby server some time ago (6-8 months ago i would guess) and changed the IP cuz i still had the first NUC to transfer the content over to the new NUC. And forgot to change the IP so it matched. I cant say with 100% certainty that this is the fix. But so far working much better than the last 2 weeks.1 point

@mickle026 yes this, in most languages including c# class and struct are handled nearly exactly the same once they are constructed. How you iterate over the data is the key point.1 point

I think I found the issue. My router is a bgw320-505 for AT&T Fiber. Long story short in order to get the device to properly forward the ports: Disable IPv6 on the router; Home Network\IPv6\IPv6 Off Set IP Passthrough on router; Allocation Mode: Default Server; Default Server Internal Address: Manual Entry Add custom NAT/Gaming Service; Firewall\Nat/Gaming\Custom Services. Service Name, Global Port Range 8096-8096 Base Host Port 8096 TCP/UDP. Assign new Custom Service to Application/Device: Firewall\Nat/Gaming: Service: (use custom one), Needed by Device: Select your device by device name. Set Windows Firewall Inbound Rules (both TCP and UDP) for the port (8096) on the Windows machine (if applicable). Once all that has been done and Emby server has port 8096 set and disabled automatic port mapping, the port should now be active.1 point

Not to go off topic but I can assure that this isn't true. The real determining factor when iterating over a list is the actual work that you're doing as pass over each one.1 point

I just went to mp3Tag and downloaded the software and am reading that information and instructions so maybe that will solve my problem. Thank you, Luke.1 point

Oh, nm, admin error! I must have accidentally capped their Internet streaming rate when I was setting their stream count limit. My bad!1 point

Actually the IP remained fixed for long time so the issue did not happened anymore1 point

Thank you Luke. You're right, I did not see the 4.7.7 blog announcement here either but didn't notice that until now.1 point

Being not just a lazy person, but also one who prefers keyboards over mouse clicks I sure would love the ability to search the plugin catalog! Horizontally scrolling through each category is needless tedium, IMO. A search box would be heaven-sent! BTW, I wasn't too lazy to search the FR section for prior requests on this subject...if this is a duplicate, it wasn't for want of searching (BTW, this forum software is really crummy at it. Booleans operators like "AND" are ignored as far as I can tell).1 point

Sorry to do this but I've just found a little GUI bug. If you hover your mouse over the + next to the dropdown to choose libraries it comes up with a tooltip that says "ignore series".1 point

Not true anymore. It now has a TV mode and works on the Shield. That's where I've been testing lyrics. It's just not available in the store yet. See my post above.1 point

You then lose access to region locked apps for your own region. Not a problem for some, but not a silver bullet.1 point

This is very exciting, seeing this come to pass! Thank you, @Luke, and all other developers that worked on this -- I imagine it was no small undertaking!!1 point

well, i got it going, but still not sure what happened.. all permissions were ok, even set it up according to what i have on another NAS which was accessible.. anyways, in end my fix was to disable windows ACL for the folder (it reset everything) and i then tested it works with full permissions.. then i re-enables ACL, setup permissions again and all working.. very strange..1 point

No, not yet. It's on my list. What model is your TV? Can you try playing a video with ASS subs and wait at least 60 seconds without skipping? Do the subs start showing automatically after a long delay? If so, how long before they show?1 point

Hi guys! New update in the main post (Emby-Stable-style-v2.6). The last stable update was a big one so took me a while to finish in-between work, but everything should now hopefully work as expected and should support all 3 different navigation modes. The audio player has also gotten some updates. Let me know if something doesn't work or looks funky. I haven't been able to reproduce the volume problem some people have experienced so not sure about that one however as it works without problem for me. Hope you enjoy!1 point

I think we also need to keep our feet firmly on the ground here and not get carried away .. This is not an enterprise streaming service such as Netflix - it is a home media streaming solution, and its typical user base is probably less than 5 or so simultaneous user access cases. Now I know from forum 'chatter' that it's has other extremes where maximum system performance really does matter - but my personal view is to start 'somewhere' to give users just a 'ballpark' figure of what is technically possible with their unoptimized typical day-day hardware. Something similar to the P**x transcoding charts - but with a little more depth to include tonemapping would, I think, be a great start. We can always add functionality.1 point

Search could implement Exclude locations that is a lot of up keep when new channels are created. Perhaps an extension method on the return values, like: DistinctBy. Then use DistinctBy(name, production year). At the same time... search is doing what it is supposed to. It is returning proper values from the database. There are technically two enteries.1 point

It'd be awesome if we could upload multiple poster/backdrop/etc images at once.1 point

But at the same time every client has its own code and possibly language. So custom css via the sever web client has nothing to do with online web client or any other app. So without unlocking all proprietary apps I can't see this as an option.1 point

No issues with playback for me, but I too have the navigation issues. Navigating through the guide is like a puzzle...to scroll up or down you need to go left or right and try again up or down over each show segment. Basically unusable if I want something below my favorites at the top of the guide. Also, pressing the menu button to go back a screen only seems to work if I scroll all the way to the top menu bar of the current screen (which, if you're in the guide, is a nightmare). I've not noticed any other issues other than those two so far... Two Apple TV 4K...same issues on both.1 point

chef, some experiences: - Standard smart matches seem to be working way better with this .35 than it was with the previous version I had. - Custom smart matches still need some work but I think you are aware - I am now seeing though some "File in use" errors although they are not being used. The logs don't show much information either as I can't see any entry regarding the files in the log. Anyone else seeing this?1 point

You can adjust the subtitles for all media by adding custom css in settings. This change would apply for all media. Be aware that some people's hardware has a fixed Aspect Ratio, if they are watching landscape wide on a phone. You can possible push the subtitles so far down that it looks fine on a computer monitor but gets lost of a phone. You need to test your changes on wide phone playback with different Aspect Ratio media. Am I missing something? What else did you want to do with the subtitles? Unfortunately, there is really no way to change the titles differently, for different media. This custom adjustment changes all subtitles coming from .srt files, but does nothing for embedding subtitles. .videoPlayerContainer > div > div > div { margin-top: 44px; /* positive goes down, negative goes up */ line-height: 1em; /* usually line-height is about 1.5em, so 1em would be tighter */ text-shadow: 5px 5px 7px #999; /* right, bottom, blur, color - use negative to go left or up, smaller number for less blur */ opacity: 0.9; /* 0.5 makes the text 50% transparent. Normally opacity is not used. 1 would be solid */ font-size: 34px; /* Starting font-size is around 48px */ color: #FFFF00; /* some subtitle color other than white, this is yellow */ background-color: #25356e; padding: 12px 24px; /* This makes top and bottom 12px, left and right 24px see CSS info for more options */ border: 2px solid #234356; }1 point

We paid for an announced feature that is still not available. Always the same answer from. Can you give any eta?1 point

I believe this FR needs to be re-phrased - the request needs to be for the Core Introskip to add the ability to detect Credits. I believe the core team are already aware of this and have said they will monitor interest in it. To note - the core 'CreditStart' marker is already available in the Core (and has been imported already if you used the Intro Skip plugin and the CreditStart was previously detected or manually added). The Plugin only allows you to auto-skip to the next episode - Linking to the 'Next Episode' OSD could then utilise this Core Credit Feature I agree and not use use a timer based system which is sometimes a poor experience.1 point
