Hi, I have finally been successful in creating a tool using AI to help standardize Actor Images for Emby. This was no easy task. I thought I'd post and see if there was interest in a utility like this. Here are some examples of the subtle changes the utility will make to the person images to make them uniform in the UI. Before Images: After Images: The AI targets the background of the image, and then we create a shadow behind the actor. Of course the background image is completely customizable. You can make the background the actor is standing in front of anything you want. These images just use a white background to show the shadow a little more. I think this creates subtle changes that may have a nice impact on the actors row in emby clients.6 points

lets take this to the Dev Thread if we can. Whe need to understand exactly how emby works, we also need to understand a few variables when the plugin generates the bif images and how that feeds back into the emby household. I actually think that the way it's set up at the minute is the most fool proof way of ensuring it works. But that is my humble opinion.2 points

I got the information for something similar thanks to rbjtech in another thread. ffprobe can detect the additional flags for internal subtitles So, I wrote a little script of my own with the following line in it %ffprobe_path% -v error -hide_banner -of default=noprint_wrappers=0 -print_format flat -select_streams s -show_entries disposition=hearing_impaired %input_file% and it outputs the following: streams.stream.0.disposition.hearing_impaired=0 streams.stream.1.disposition.hearing_impaired=1 The second subtitle (stream 1 as it counts from 0) is the one in my mkv which has the hearing-impaired flag and reports back true or 1. If Emby could store this information in the db and come up with a naming convention for external SDH subs then all we would need is an additional setting to always play SDH for those who want them on all the time. Otherwise, you can just choose them when you want. You can also test for all the other flags from the picture above such as commentary, etc which may be helpful to others.2 points

When setting up a new user I think it would be great if I could copy an existing user. Even better if you could copy certain aspects of a user like views , library access , parental settings1 point

KODI implemented a feature many years ago where it takes any URL passed to it (via plugin or STRM) that has a | in it and treats anything after the | as headers that should be passed along with the request For example: http://domain/path/video.mp4|authorization:userid=49384 KODI, when it makes the request would pass: GET http://domain/path/video.mp4|authorization authorization: userid=49384 Likewise would be true for cookies, etc. Is it possible to implement the same with Emby, someway?1 point

I would suggest to add the possibility to filter the library by languages, i.e. - Allow to filter for the audio and/or subtitle language. Regards Max ( Request taken from a former github issue: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/1782#event-982356301 )1 point

bazarr sub downloader has had an option to specifically search for and flag SDH subs for quite a while.1 point

Statistic, je l'ai viré. Elle me fait toujours des merdes sinon. Genre mon dossier "séries" qui scan la bibliothèque en boucle.. J'utilise surtout Playback Reporting que j'aime bcp.1 point

I just adjusted the alphapicker.js. But what make sense really depends on one's library. Where you can change "Æon Flux" to "Aeon Flux" to correct the issue now.1 point

Okay yes this is the issue as I just reproduce when I renamed "Æon Flux". And here is the issue AlphaPicker.prototype.setPrefixes = function (prefixes) { 27 < prefixes.length && (prefixes.length = 27);1 point

its the same as me. you have the AE charachter which seems to push the Z off the bottom. exactly as i reported1 point

Interestingly, this seems linked to the browser and platform that you are using. If I use a Mac (Brave or Safari), I cannot see the Profile Information; however, if I use my iPad (Brave) I can see the information although it is quirky (cannot scroll properly).1 point

Ahh I was responding to the most recent messages about https://www.filmcrave.com/api.php It was suggested that the admins reach out to them for the questions they have on API usage cost outside of the bounds of the free offering, but they can also ask where the reviews are sourced from, since that question was asked twice. I imagine it is like IMDB, which is also user generated reviews.1 point
-
Emby can't afford professional critic ratings (which sometimes differ entirely from the audience rating anyway), but won't look into user generated peer reviews (like IMDB consists of) for a feature people have been asking about for a few years now. This is a feature I also miss, and people in this topic have come with an actual possibility. If people don't like user generated reviews they could disable it, but why not give it to the people who want it?1 point

Thanks Luke, you’re right. My disk accidentally has been mounted incorrectly. Updated the path of library and the problem was solved.1 point

So has anything been acknowledged by the Admins ? Is this effectively a Zero Day that can compromise any remote system ? If yes, then depending how much is already public knowledge - users should be made aware on the Blog and via any other communication methods asap so the users can turn off remote access while an emergency fix is developed. Security Bugs/Coding errors happen - it how you deal with them that is important to maintain user trust.1 point

Solved! Wrong version of emby. I've correct it to arm v7 version for my rpi4 and work. Topic closed?1 point

Hi, I could fix the issue. I found an article on the Emby community about the connectivity, the main problem was on the firewall so I just followed the steps and I could fix it. Than you so much1 point

No problem, I will give that a try tomorrow and report back. Thanks!1 point

There are no trackers in our emails. We have no need (or desire) to track when and where our emails are opened. No other entities are inserting content into our emails. DuckDuckGo is apparently treating any remote image in an email as a "tracker". Opening an email from us with remote images would show in our web logs as an image being requested from a particular IP address, but without a unique identifier as part of the image URL there would be no way of knowing by whom and from which email it was being accessed. None of our emails contain images with URLs that are unique to the email or to the recipient. admin@emby.media is the email address used to send almost all of our forum-related emails.1 point

Hi, apologies for the disruption. It will be resolved in the upcoming 4.7.7 maintenance release in the coming days. Thanks.1 point

Hi, brightness control will be back in the video player in the next updates to the Emby Android and iOS apps. Thanks.1 point

I am writing in this old post just to update information. Sony Bravia TVs (or at least the one I have, A8H - 2020) can play profiles 5 profiles 8 and even 7 MEL (not 7 FEL). Profile 7 must necessarily be in single track (makeMkv). All this tested by me with Emby app for android Sorry if all this has been known for some time and I have written obvious things1 point

Barring something like a bomb taking out both me and Luke (we are in separate places) we've always said that, if the day ever came where we decided to discontinue development on Emby, we would try to work out a way for you to continue to use what you have for as long as possible.1 point

@hellking yes it's possible this may return in future updates. Thanks for the feedback.1 point

You can't. You have to query for the individual items using MinPremiereDate as a filter, then refresh those items.1 point

I just tried adding a book to the 'Book' library type. It was quite disappointing, to say the least. Can we please get this implemented sooner rather than later? The only feature apparently implemented is 'download'. No coverart, descriptions, identify, metadata, or ability to read the book. I haven't tried it yet, but from the thread above, it seems like I can't even use local *.nfo files to specify metadata. For a data source, the Internet Archive's Open Library has 20 million records, an open API, client software, and very reasonable throttle limits (no more than 100 covers in five minutes). It is quite a robust API offering. API Docs I understand adding readers to the multitude of emby clients may be quite the task, but getting the library management and metadata stuff on the server shouldn't be too bad. Same with getting a reader into the Emby Theater clients. Thanks.1 point

Solution: 1- in UNRAID, install the Nvidia plugin called "Nvidia driver" 2- stop then restart the "docker service" located in the "settings tab" 3- On "docker tab", click the blue link "EmbyServer", settings appear 4- right on top, go to "AVANCED VIEW" 5- Found the line called "Extra Parameters", and enter --runtime=nvidia 6- Click APPLY, DONE 7- Open Emby, go to settings 8- At "Transcoding Tab", choose "Advanced" in the drop-down 9- select coding and decoding you want, then "SAVE" YOU DONE ! Here is a quick video of 4k H265 120Mbps video playback on 1GB ethernet LAN.1 point

cannot be because I had the Z before even with the AE character which is from Æon Flux...it seems that the missing Z was introduced with server version 4.7.5 or 4.7.4 (but this is only a guess).0 points

Vielen Dank für deinen Beitrag. Ich hoffe auch da wird mal was passieren. Das lästige Installieren über USB ist ja auch nervig.0 points
