Now after a complete rework with both the configuration UI and the backend workers, it's intuitive, easy and the possibilities are endless to create your intros. The new UI VP GLOBAL TAB VP MOVIES TAB Click on Add New Intro and then select from the following options YOU CAN GIVE YOUR INTROS A FRIENDLY NAME TO HELP YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S DOING Single Intro - Use this option to select a single video file to play Multiple Intros - Use this option to select a folder of video files. Random selection is done during playback Trailer - Select this to use online trailers or local trailers(trailers inside movie folders) if local trailers is switched to enabled - online trailers are dismissed if local trailers is not switched to enabled - online trailers will be played. Codec and Tags - Select Video, Audio and/or tags, Embedded Track titles can also be matched - requires a video file with the same name as the codec/tag in a folder Certification - This is MPAA, BBFC, FSK, etc ratings. video file must be the same as emby Rating. eg GB-12A.mp4 Your intros will populate in the list below Click on the Icon to get more options, where you can move the intro around in the sequence TV Episodes has now been added Hope you enjoy it. Think on a Shield you long press the Back (<) key and it goes to top of the Home page. Something similar on Fire TVs. Can't check to make sure at the moment and thats for the AndroidTV Emby app.

Hello, is it possible to seperate the adiobooks from the musik? If I add audiobooks, and download them with the IOS-App and look inside the download, they are displayed as Music. As I learnd this is also a problem in Emby for Kodi. On the Emby-Server they are marked as Music and then Emby for Kodi also add this to the Music folder in Kodi. Or maybe it is helpful to exclude them in Kodi Companion? Would be nice to find a solution for this. Regards,

As I'm transitioning from Volumio and Plex to Emby to centralize my usage to one app, the one thing I'm missing the most is gapless playback. This is particulary annoying when listening to albums like "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. I'm experiencing a buffer of about 1 second in between songs, which really ruins the immersion. Would be awesome if this would be implemented in both the Chromecast, and web player.

I moved from Plex to Emby and even though I think Emby is superior in its flexibility there are some things I like better with Plex, especially in terms of its looks. This theme is trying to fix that by making it a bit more similar to Plex but with some, in my opinion, improvements. The CSS is attached to this post for anyone interested and below are some screens to show it off Good to know I only use Chrome so I can't guarantee this CSS works as expected in other browsers. If you want the sidebar menu to look like in the screens, make sure to pin the sidebar. Watched badge/banderoll is inverted which means that the badge will not be shown if media have been watched, like in Plex. Not sure if this is the right spot where to request this. .. Nevertheless can we please add the feature for embyserver. Pretty much ro setup a pause timeout limit . so if a user put a video/movie on pause for more than xyz timeout limit would kick them back to the video/movie home page... Good morning... I have written my own Emby Web Client to learn how the Emby API works. I can navigate the Emby library and select media to stream (video, and audio) without any problems. I can also explore the Emby server and thereby learn how things work. I now want to expand my web client to include e-books and comic books. I have written my own e-pub reader in javascript and I now want to integrate it into my web client. My problem is that I was positive that the Emby API included the means to download files to a browser. But, I can not find it. I would appreciate if anyone could point out how to do this. When I get the file into the browser then I can display it with my e-pub reader. I have attached my test version of the reader below. It's not finished code but does work. Put both files into the same directory and open the html file in a chrome or Edge browser. It should give you an idea about what I am trying to do. Hello As stated in the title the playlist function in the Roku app gives no indication whether the item is played or not, unlike the web, windows theatre or android versions. Please could this be included when the app is next updated?

I'm trying to download from files from my Emby media server but they are stuck on "READY TO TRANSER". I am on emby 2.16 for MAC OSX. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Huh... just inserted the SD card in my PC and it was already as exFAT (I thought that it was ext4, sorry about that). The "Download" folder on SD root was already there, so "External storage (Downloads)" is sill pointing towards internal memory for some reason. As for storage, it has all 394 GB available to it, and is set up as external SD, not as internal memory. It would be nice if the Emby Android app gave the option to point at a certain location, but anyway... as said before, the fact that it's possible to use the SD card is already good enough for me, so it's a "nice to have", not a "must have" (at least on my part). Edit: another "nice to have": the possibility of configuring the amount of simultaneous downloads. Some people might have non-ideal internet connections (several downloads at the same time would probably help) and some people might have slow SD cards (writing a single file in some cases is much faster than writing more files at the same time). For me the file /log/EmbyServer/embyserver.txt does not exist. I have in /etc/fail2ban/jail.local these lines: [emby] enabled = true filter = emby logpath = /var/lib/emby/logs/embyserver.txt port = 8096,8920 And it works ie. after 3 wrong attempts to login, the IP is banned. F.P.

Emby Server version 4.7.6.0, Win8.1 for WMC. ServerWMC version 1.0.0.63 build 1260 Everything is working as it should. Tested by streaming live tv and guide data to both android phone and windows laptop. Streaming data shows up in ServerWMC as it is supposed to. The shot below is it streaming live tv to my phone. Sorry for the crap photo, but you get the idea. Chris

It did not solve the issue so I ended up upgrading my system to Win10 this week. Now I am just having the issue with editing metadata via the web client causing the entire system to freeze for about 30s.

No, you can select more than 50. I just chose to show thumbnails for the first 50 selected. Some people were selecting over a thousand movies. To show 1000 thumbnails took a lot of space. So, I chose to show only the first fifty thumbnails for the items selected. I do include at the end of the thumbnails the actual count of items selected. If you need a better explanation, I would be happy to give you one. Vic

@Edgephoto Here's why. Look what happens when you search for it on tvdb: https://thetvdb.com/search?query=assembly+required If instead you were to name the series folder Assembly Required (2021), then it would have matched on the first try. Does this answer your question?

As library association tells a list of songs featured in the movie, the osd tells what song is playing at the exact scene more like shazam for emby. This makes it more appealing to end users. Well you can make it optional as some users might not want to be distracted. But overall i believe this feature will make emby to stand out from other services. I havent seen this feature in other media servers. I m counting on @Luke to see both features in the future.

Yeah i agree. Plex has been doing it for a while( just library association not the osd in the sample video). Emby devs can do similar thing like they did to movie trailers. If you have a local trailer it shows up in the details page and if you don setup a trailer youtube links show up instead. So similarly they can do audio library association and spotify or tidal links if the song is missing in the library.

I updated my emby it stopped working looks like that bad version is still being deployed by TrueNas. I went here and followed the CLI install had no issues now it's working. I won't be using that update feature anymore i'll stop in here find out about updates.

Hi Neik, sorry fella been out for a while, yes it’s fixed but I’ve added subtitle extraction since and remux removing unwanted pictoral subtitle languages. Its just about complete now. I should have a release by the weekend.
