Like mentioned already, because your server users are not yours. All users belong to "them". Then users decide how they proceed through "them" and if you are even allowed to cater to to those users. Users choose to attach to your server through "them". There is a central agency tracking you. Whereas on Emby all users must be created on a server. There is no central location tracking everyone coming and going through your server. Your Emby server users are catered to by you and no one else. There is no central agency tracking you. Also, Roku made it clear that there was to be no intercepts used except their ECP mechanism and it seems they have gone around that. "They" aren't following rules and eventually that will cost "them". They also might be allowed to break the rules because they just get to. Who knows. It is a world of you rub my back and I rub yours a bit. Share the data they get from tracking users on Rokus with Roku possibly. Well not possibly.. haw. That is what "they" do. That might be how they get around certain rules. I am just conjecture. Speculation. But the reality is there are forces at play which allow certain freedoms to exist only for certain programs, people, and geographic locations. We must find a happy place and learn to deal with it depending on the program, person, or geographic location. Find your happy place.2 points

Okay. The situation you are reporting has been corrected in the latest beta. The only remaining issue is with pausing and then seeking while paused.2 points

Can we have an option to flatten series if there are XX episodes or less. Just provides the ability to eliminate one frustrating click. I wouldn't want it on my 1,000+ episode Looney Tunes series. However, when you only have one or two seasons in a series, it helps drill down easier.1 point

Is there a way to display a single season without the need to have a season folder? Many years ago Media Browser would recognise if the media was only a single folder and would not force sub folders. I have quite a few collections that fall into this catergory, just a few titles requiring only one branch.1 point

ALL issues fixed by installing desktop version instead of windows store version of theatre.1 point

Makes me happy that you guys are brainstorming this idea. Cant believe emby doesnt have it already but that piece of crap known as Jellyfin does. Hopefully we see a beta of it soon. That is one feature I would love to test. Mook1 point

Hi, not currently, but options to control this are planned for future updates. Thanks.1 point

Hi, yes this will be improved in an upcoming windows app release. Thanks for the feedback.1 point

That is one of the most voted FRs. Lend your support here: As a workaround, you can use Server Configuration Backup plugin, make Default user, back it up and store somewhere safe for later retrieval.1 point

Version 1.6.0 Notes: Play Store ratings with full reviews (outside of beta) are really important to be ranked and discovered as the application is relatively recent. So if you like the application please take some time to leave a full review. Added: Add option to hide Symfonium logo from the widget. Add support for Android media store (Local device) playlist import. Lyrics timestamps can now also be displayed at the end of the lines. Add support for albums Original release date. (For providers that support it, requires a sync) Add support for audiobook chapters when returned by Plex / Emby and Jellyfin. Add new option for Local device and Kodi to prefer song art instead of Album art. Add new option to animate the expanded now playing slider with waves like Android 13+ style. Add new Basic style for now playing design. Added a few workarounds to improve Jellyfin AudioBook support. Small animations tweaks in now playing screens. Add new option to ignore remote stop commands and treat them as pause (For some car when stopped for example). Fixed: Some fixes to better support Gonic (Subsonic) servers. Be sure to update your Gonic servers to the latest snapshot version. (https://github.com/sentriz/gonic) Workaround some Android Auto changes to properly pause when disconnecting. Workaround possible duplicate scrobbling with Plex servers. Finally hopefully fixed the unknown rare crash. Update Compose to the latest snapshot that contains all memory leak fixes.1 point

Guys - I'd suggest maybe you start your own thread in the plug-ins forum to continue this discussion. Thanks.1 point

Unfortunately no. I'll keep an eye out should it happen again and pull a backup at that time prior to removing it.1 point

Yea to start - lets just use Admin. But to answer the question - yes anybody can potentially add to the 'Watch Together' library - borrowing from the 'Spotlight' idea - users can add to the 'Watch Together' playlist - and it then creates the strm file automatically from this. But that's ways down the line ..1 point

Another thought - are you using Firefox 102? That had a bug which stopped (some?/all? of) Emby's three-dot menus appearing; it's fixed in 103. Paul1 point

Hi again guys, Please close the thread, I've figured it out. Being new to Android tv I wasn't aware settings could be changed in the actual app, was just looking in the back end. I've enabled downmix to stereo in the settings and it's all working. No thanks to other threads. Cheers!1 point

I still don't see why a recording would get a TMDB ID but not be identified, nor do I see why chapters can't be made visible.1 point

Hi there, can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and let us know how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks !1 point

The issue with using development bridge, or any other method using a wgt file is that you need the full source code, which is not publicly available. The .wgt file is just a .zip archive of the source, so again, it's not publicly available. The .tmg that is published is an encrypted package, created by Samsung. Unfortunately it's not possible to automate this in the way that you want to.1 point

I would rip with something like Makemkv then take the two remuxes and merge them with mkvtoolnix. Then if you want to reencode with x264 do it after they're combined. Sounds like reencoding with x264 before may be causing an issue if what you found is what's causing the issue.1 point

Just BluRays ripped to mkv and encoded in x264. This is the explanation I've come across that I think is why this happened.1 point

Pause rewind and FF should all just keep in sync (happen to everyone in the party) and anyone in the watch together group should be able to do these functions. I wouldn't worry too much about someone intentionally messing up the party by rewinding or FF, these should usually be people you know.1 point

No new themes for android tv app? I saw 1 new theme named batman on the phone app, but not on the tv1 point

I'm on the current stable release for the client and server. I tend to avoid beta unless it's to handle a major bug. This one is more of a quirk to me and I've been posting mostly to confirm and add a data point.1 point

All Collections info is coming from TMDB. Vengeance trilogy that you made, per Google: TMDB does not list such Collection hence you can't get any metadata/artwork scraped automatically. Why can't you? Collections have exact same Edit Images dialog as all other items.1 point

They're in the desktop version: https://emby.media/emby-theater.html Not in the store version at this time.1 point

Hi there, we work very hard on Emby and we thank you for your support.1 point
