Thanks for the heads up. I wanted to report back with the results of my testing. Turns out the OpenLyrics plugin in foobar2000 didn't work all that well for me, but the Lyric Show Panel 3 plugin did when used in conjunction with an extra plugin that allows it to search extra sources. Lyric Show Panel 3: foobar2000: Components Repository - Lyric Show Panel 3 Additional sources plugin: [Lyric Show Panel 3] lyrics from genius, musixmatch, minilyrics, qq, darklyrics, etc.. : foobar2000 (reddit.com) After configuring Lyric Show Panel 3: The Result I hope this helps people looking for synced LRCs until perhaps such a time as there is a native solution. Also very much looking forward for the lyrics feature to come to Android TV2 points

Hi, Since I am using more and more TMDb, (since tvdb is more and more a mess), I am missing a very important feature. tvdb had the feature of grouping stuff into aired, DVD and absolute, which is supported by emby. TMDb had also this feature. See this example for "La casa de papel" (Money Heist, Haus des Geldes): The Original Order is allways the "aired order" of the original country. "La casa de papel" was originaly released by "Antena 3" and was taken over by Netflix, which results in different episodes ordering, which is a mess. They solved it in episode grouping. This feature is missing from emby, but it's integrated in their API and is allready supported in other apps, like kodi. At least, Banana a TMDb Mod claims it, that it's supported by Kodi: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/71446-la-casa-de-papel/discuss/5e7032d84f9a99001152704f?page=1#5eb76872ca7ec6001f7c53cb Is it possible to add this feature into emby? It is the last scraping feature, I really really miss for TMDb on emby. It adds much flexibility and is overall a much better solution, than on tvdb with their aired, dvd and absolute order. Another great example is Dragonball Super: As you see, it adds much more flexibility for different regions over the world. It's in my own eyes a must have for emby!1 point

It takes anywhere between 5-15 secs with bad quality then a pause happens and the bar kicks into HD. There’s currently no way of controlling this through Emby settings as it’s embedded somewhere. Can you please look into fixing this as it’s been happening for a long time??1 point

It would have worked previously without transcode, but it would have been doing a remux. Transcode is converting the video, remux generally only touches the audio (at most). Remux has very low overheads and you probably wouldn't even have noticed it. You're transcoding at the moment as I introduced a change to try and improve the problem, but it actually made it worse. But it proved that my other change worked. It will all be good for you in the next USB release.1 point

The old view can't accommodate newer features, so therefore it can't come back. But options to control it can certainly be added.1 point

Yeah I got it. It had something to do with emby server running as a service. Thanks1 point

Hi guys, I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop in and see what's new. So I've gone through the threads since I last was around and gathered up all the new additions and merged them into the main repository. Which pretty much consisted of all the contributions from @JohnWPB stored on his Onedrive. Although I did see there where a lot added my another user by the name of @Riggs that had hosted them from a personal server, but unfortunately all of his links are now dead. If anyone here happened to download those and wouldn't mind uploading them someplace I could grab them from I'd be happy to merge them into the collection as well so they aren't lost to time. Anyway, you guys keep up the good work, and hopefully these can remain relevant for years more to come. I know is seems like I've forgotten about these sometimes, but just know that I haven't, and I'll continue to drop in from time to time and gather up your guys newest works and deposit them in with the rest of the collection. Take care, and if someone does happen to make Riggs download available for me, I'll get that done straight away.1 point

This should never work "query=(1970) Lo Chiamavano Trinita'..." as you get the no results on their website with that also. Actually @Lukethe issue is with Flat structure (no item folder) querying with file extension. item imported1 point

I have now found an even better solution https://tdarr.io/. Tdarr is currently stripping all the subtitles from my files even though I could have retained the english ones as it is very configurable I let Emby download the external Forced English subtitles I need. It is quite easy to setup especially if you already run Sonarr or Radarr. My media server is low powered so it is taking a while to do the whole library but the big advantage is that it can monitor your library for new files and process them immediatley or even after a delay (which I would reccomend if you are using the likes of Sonarr or Radarr) If you have enough processing power you can even transcode from H.264 to H.265 and save a huge amount of space. My Microserver running an AMD Turion(tm) II Neo N40L Dual-Core Processor @ 1.50 GHz is likley to take rather a long time to trancode 11TB so I don't think I'll bother. As Tdarr can use distributed computing I may look for anothe PC just to do the codec conversion. For me this will bypass the issue with the Samsung TVs easily and I guess it should fit most users requirements as I doubt many people need 30+ languages.1 point

On 7.06 I just deleted a TV-Show in Kodi using the context menu. However it deleted my entire TV-Shows folder and not just the specific TV-show! Don't know if this has been fixed in later versions. Luckily I had a fresh backup of the entire folder. Phew.1 point

Never mind. I went through all of the instructions a second time and it seems to work now. I guess I missed something my first time around.1 point

I believe the key here is resolution. At smaller resolutions, the tabs move down so they will all fit without colliding with the other items.1 point

After many days cant figure out why this problem happens to my friend but only with MKV files, I found your answer on google and tried it and it works. I just registered on this forum to say thank you very much for your information. Saved my friend life1 point

Since this was linked from another post recently I thought I would drop my reply here even though this thread is really old. I currently do this but its a bit of hack. Would be nice if it was built in. My guest account basically has the watched status reset whenever they watch something. You can utilize something like the scripterx to call the api to reset the watch status on a item or library at logoff for example. That way the next time a guest logs in, it will all be marked as unwatched. Of course this doesn't help with the resetting of the settings but hopefully this helps somebody looking to do something like this.1 point

Adding this for those directed here by web searches on how to update your Emby server on a Pi. An easy way to update your Emby server, provided you're running a desktop environment, is: * On the machine running your Emby server, either directly or by VNC, open the web page to your server (127.0.0.1:8096) * Sign in, and click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner. You want to manage the server. * The message to update the server contains hot links. Click, and you'll go to the web page to select and download the correct package for your hardware. (Pi4 = Arm7, the package with ARMHF in the name.) While it's downloading, go back to the "Manage Server" tab on your browser, and shut down the Emby server. * The download notification at the bottom ribbon of the web browser window -- click on the completed file, and the installer will start up. * It may seem like forever, but it's working. Just let it be. When finished, reboot your Pi. You're done! Once booted and you log into your Emby server, the "Manage Server" page may have a message to restart the server to finish your update. That's normal. Just restart the server (there's a power button icon on the Manage Server page.)1 point

@plittlefiled Thanks for posting the link which direct me to this thread, it good to know that some member have got this working, I appreciate if could share your experience and how got configuration working. I am on windows 10 I have got WMI-Exporter, Prometheus/Grafana working which colleting matrix of the system activities, next steps is emby media Prometheus/Grafana. I came accrosed this github emby exporter https://github.com/williamclot/emby_exporter/find/main, and https://pypi.org/project/emby-exporter/ and Not sure if this would add any value, not sure how to implement as there is not enough instruction to get it work may be smart coding guys in the forum can deduced how it should be configured.1 point

I would also like a tag in the file or folder to point to a concrete "episode group"1 point
