The other day, star trek auto skipped for me and I noticed. I literally rewinded and watched it auto skip a second time. However, it was a random episode and that was the only time it worked but I'm still scanning, it takes about a day of scanning just to get through 5-10% and this morning I finally reached 81% so I still have a few days to go on the scan but I'm expecting it to work when the scan is finished, I'll definitely let you know the outcome.

From a core cleanup perspective - You'll need to raise in the Core Introskip thread I'm afraid - as while I believe you are correct in deleting the .fp (fingerprint) files - I'm not sure what impact this may have on other things. The actual 'detection' settings for the button (only) are held in the same place as the core (chapters table) - so these will be overwritten by the Plugin during the 'Chapters' task anyway. The Plugin can be installed and it will start from scratch (it won't import the Core Detections I'm afraid). Personally - I would hold off until the Core Plugin Editor is released - then make a decision which way you would like to proceed.

I know nothing of what the core produces, i thought these were stored in the library database as simple chapter markers. Do you have an example, are they stored in your mediafolder. i would take this up in the core thread. For us. you need to refresh the metadata on your TV show library to clear all the Intro markers, I think this is how the core works also. you would need to run all the tasks in order from the plugin. There is a good Wiki which can be found at the top of the plugin page that explains the process and settings for each Tab.

Shutdown Emby server, then install. It should upgrade your previous version

Of course you cannot (in any client app) as subs can differ per episode - and some episodes don't even have to have it - how would you preselect that on Series level? There are various subtitle modes (Forced, Default, Smart, Always show) for each user in settings for exactly that purpose, so desired subs can be automatically pre-selected. Sure you can do that, bring up OSD while paused or playback (press Down on remote), select "CC" icon.

Will 4.7.3 be available for "macOS 10.13+ (High Sierra and Above)"? I am stuck on High Sierra with the Mac mini I use to run Emby Server, at least until the budget allows for an upgrade. Is this the last Emby upgrade I'll be able to install on that machine?

I dunno if something like this is possible in the Emby environment (maybe it's even already there and I'm not recognizing it)... but something I kinda liked with Plex was that I could see that users were connected to my server/share securely (https) in the Now Playing/Current Activity area. I mean, I guess I should know if they were initially setup using the https but there'd just be peace of mind seeing an indicator clarifying it, or that I need to take action if someone isn't connecting securely that I assumed would be. Would something like this be possible?

That error just means you or something may have tampered with the contents of the server's metadata folder: C:\Users\ZiiPV\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata It's looking for an image file that used to be there but isn't anymore. It's not going to cause any problems though other than a missing image in the UI.

I installed the latest version of the Smart Playlist plugin via github and the server seems to restart using the "restart" on the Dashboard. That's a big improvement right there. Will see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion!

For those wondering about TrueNAS SCALE: Truecharts has Emby Server based on Docker. It uses the Docker images from k8s-at-home because TrueNAS SCALE uses helm charts. All the necessary configuration options that would normally go into docker command line or a docker-compose file are available through the TrueNAS GUI. I've been running it without any issues for almost 8 months now, since back when TrueNAS SCALE was still in beta. I even paid for Emby Premiere back in December last year, and have used its features since then without any issues. Emby could potentially offer an 'official' (as opposed to the current community one) by having a package available straight from TrueNAS as one of the default applications available for installation on TrueNAS SCALE. The community approach requires adding the community repository to TrueNAS SCALE. The default packages are available without changing anything. The current community applications have a lot of advantages over the default applications, though, such as the fact that community packages support easy ingress through a domain name.

It sounds like you just installed the stable version again. How did you install the apk once you downloaded it from the link? Did you use X-plore or some other file manager to open it? I just redownloaded and install it right now and it's showing version .77 BTW, you shouldn't need to uninstall an older version, it will upgrade your current.

LMAO! Thanks. I can't believe in the 5 or so years I've been using Emby I've never used up/down while actively watching a show. But apparently it's never crossed my mind to try it and see what happens.

Wanted to update this for anyone that happens upon it. After Luke provided the use of the directory I was able to navigate to ${emby}/web/index.html#!/conversions?mode=convert and see that I had a failed conversion of an entire tv series. As soon as I cancelled that the sync directory vanished in it's entirety.

Also i was not sure if this phenomenon instantly occurs or after certain events, i remember something when restoring the server config via the plugin...but totally unsure about this. If you take no action it will recover, but you may just have to wait a minute for requests to timeout and fail, and then for the app to go through the process of figuring out which server address to switch to.

Did you use Google Domains? I created a custom record in the DNS section and I see the host name as _acme-challenge, being a TXT type and there is a DATA string that you'll need to copy from your SSL Cert script into the DATA string record that you created at Domains. When I ran the script on my PC (do not close it,yet), it created that string and waited..I copied that string into my domains record @ Google Domains and saved it. then I watched the script and it connected and said successful. The only other thing I'd done was forward 8920 in my router. Nothing more. Open your redirect address in your browser (https://somethingemby.com:8920) and you should see your secure lock up in the url. Don't know if this will help, but worked great on my side.

Ok, yea. Synced Nodes is not working then for the Kids Movies library. I did rename it to remove the single quote, but it had no effect. Attached are my logs, taken from a fresh install/setup/sync. And the screenshot is my library configuration in Emby. The Movies library is 2 directories, /mnt/movies and /mnt/kids movies. The Kids Movies library is just /mnt/kids movies. kodi.log

SOLVED I'm really not sure why this makes a difference, but it does. My safety "deny" block was not keying to the start of the path, so it the /na was matching /navdrawer and then that js file would be blocked. i could, but all this is purely because i have been strict on the exitcodes with the release. We need to find out what the error is in all your files and if it’s critical or not. Sadly I’m not an expert on all the errors so i need to look into it.

I figured it out, all is good. Just used the same IP address as my other machine then manually mapped the channels that did not show up with guide data.

It seems I spoke a little bit too soon. We will most certainly be able to accomodate the mute and unmute of the sound. The rest though (VolumeUp, VolumeDown, SetVolume) are a work in progress and may not be possible yet.

Hi Luke, I tried 4.7.4.0 too, but no change on my side. For a short moment I saw a message in the browser: "Emby Server is loading. Please try again shortly". But then, I wasn't able to connect to 8096 anymore. Will send the log file to you via PM.

Maybe a little late to this discussion, but I had the same in Edge, and it was just that caret browsing was turned on. pressing F7 turned it off and it was fixed for me

The next update to the app will have a gray color option.
