Hi, yes it's not a bad idea as a selectable field to display. Thanks.2 points

yes, you still need to extract the first X minutes to do the search against. yes, at the moment the POC uses IMDB, season and episode to identify a theme chromaprint to use when searching in an episode. Yeah I guess, at the moment I am just using ffmpeg directly to extract the bin data but you could build a tool for that. That is an interesting one, how do you make sure, the only real way would be test it and see if you get good matches. One idea I had was each theme cp on the server cold be voted Up when a client sucsesfully used it to detect an intro. The whole comunity contribution system would need to be though out and built, the thing I have put in place is just a POC and a free for all, there would need to be checks and balances put in place.2 points

I see the problem. This was not an issue in previous version? Emby reports (on pause): [ UserDataChanged ] [{'PlaybackPositionTicks': 0, 'PlayCount': 1, 'IsFavorite': False, 'LastPlayedDate': '2022-05-13T11:36:55.0000000Z', 'Played': False, 'ItemId': '23821'}] Playcount = 1 and that what the plugin uses as indicator is played. Also PlaybackPositionTicks = 0 seems incorrect After stop on Emby it's correct on Kodi. I'll fix this soon2 points

Some more info When I play an episode (#9) of show XYZ and skip to e.g. 10 minutes in and then stop Estuary puts a visible icon in the menu that looks something like "in progress" (half full circle), Embuary only have unwatched or marked as watched and uses the progress bar instead. If I do as above in Estuary, then go back to the main menu, then into tvshow XYZ again it will mark episode #10 since I have set kodi to select next episode. It's a bit weird since the log states Played false2 points

As I'm transitioning from Volumio and Plex to Emby to centralize my usage to one app, the one thing I'm missing the most is gapless playback. This is particulary annoying when listening to albums like "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. I'm experiencing a buffer of about 1 second in between songs, which really ruins the immersion. Would be awesome if this would be implemented in both the Chromecast, and web player.1 point

I would like to request a sleep timer function for the Emby app. For example, when a song is playing, it should be possible to quickly and easily set a sleep timer to shut off the song after a desired interval. Options could include 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 120 minutes. If it had this, I would be happy to purchase Premiere.1 point

Add alpha picker to the "add to collection screen. The title pretty much says what I would like. It is slow to move through the collections to find the one to add to without it.1 point

Please read this post first. I was wondering if it would be possible to add something that would allow you to skip the intro to shows automatically while binge watching. When watching Netflix it does this for some shows, and im not sure if thats a feature of Netflix itself or a Chrome extension i use called "Flix Assist" but it would be a nice feature to have within Emby as well. and possibly even create a custom timed skip for specific shows1 point

I am super busy most days and I usually end up with some free time late at night, so it was great to see in Plex at a glance how many mins long each movie is, even when sorting by duration there are no time markers. I'd rather have it over ratings showing in the library view if we had to sacrifice something. Thanks for the consideration.1 point

Hey, I understand the Android TV app would need a "overhaul" in order to get the feature. The "bug" I am talking about is the Android Theme videos bug, where the backdrop theme video plays in the foreground (reguardless of what android device it is installed on) Because, you can have theme videos on Shield TV by installing the standard Android App, but the standard android app doesnt work as intended. (on my phone AND my Shield TV)1 point

It's also possible that the Windows firewall closed the port that Emby is using. The Windows firewall can be finicky when you have what it considers a new network.1 point

So anyways i did make a good utility using OCR text recognition, this also utilises blackdetect detect to find a the frame suitable to start the Text recognition. It was gonna be used as a fall back if everything else failed on the end credits. However it’s looking good for our current code. where this could be useful is movies!! Especially if doing a bing watch and want to tie in home automation with end credits. I had to use my camera as most screen recording software uses ffmpef to do this and cant run concurrently IMG_2734.MOV1 point

I did a fresh install of LibreElec and installed the Emby next-gen plugin. The player is detected and now I can use the browser interface to play music so this is satisfactory. I use bridge mode and have samba shares mounted in Docker and switching to host mode caused problems I don't have time to fix right now but can test another time. Thanks for your help1 point

After a bunch of playing around I seem to have figured it out. Port forwarding was correctly set up on my router, but the port was closed and not visible externally. I had to go into the seperate port forwarding section inside the firewall section of my router and add a port forwarding rule there. Now it seems to be working properly.1 point

Let me see if I can remember how to control the Vera with http requests. You might be able to set something up pretty easily.1 point

We are aware - Thanks . As it says, this should be fixed in the next Plugin version. The only option to continue to use the Plugin (only, or in combo with the Core) is to rollback to 4.7.0.38 We don't have an ETA for 0.0.1.97 at this time but I understand it is being worked on. @Cheesegeezer @chef1 point

The J5200 and all the rest of the entry level TVs that year were released as Orsay. Though somewhere I read that some of those may have gotten a firmware update or evolution kit to run Tizen apps. TV Model Groups | Samsung Developers Hopefully, the OP can provide the logs requested.1 point

I'm sure you guys know this, but in case you don't, the plugin doesn't load with server 4.7.0.39 beta. Info App: Not loading IntroSkip.dll 0.0.1.96 because the minimum supported version is 0.0.1.97. Please update to the newer version1 point

For clarification, Estuary = Progress Circle Embuary = Progress Bar + Green check mark (which should appear if media is watched until end) The Progress Bar in Embuary is working like it should. Showing progress with the right timing.1 point

No - and this is the key point here - we are not attempting to directly match 'your' episode (and any form of timings) with an online database - as we have discussed many times in the IntroSkip journey - this is all but impossible due to the infinite number of possible iterations there may be. 'All' the lookup is doing is providing a common FP .bin file and matching it (using the tvdb ID) with a Show or Season level from your emby collection. The PoC doesn't do episode level comparisons - but could do - the local compare/detect is no different than Introskip but it doesn't have to compare against other episodes. As an example - and why I uploaded it - the Big Bang Theory Intro is identical in my 'copy', your 'copy' , anybodys 'copy' across all episodes because that is a fixed item - what is unknown, is WHEN it plays - and that is why we then need to use the normal Introskip algorithms to detect it. Submission stuff is listed on the web page after you create a login - yea it needs a GUI, but for a PoC it works perfectly .. Lots of unknows on quality of the submissions stuff I agree - but that aside, it's the possibilities here that are interesting.1 point

Tried 25%, 50% & 75%, the indicator shows 50% all the time so seems to be static.1 point

Was just about to report the same (I've tested a couple of tv episodes), I only get this error with Embuary - Estuary still seems to handle it "normal".1 point

@Jägs You are a Star!!!! For what ever reason I checked my router and and it did not have the port forwarding for Emby?!?!?!? It is now working fine. Thank you for your help. I have no reason why I did not think of it!! See it was something simple! lol1 point

It may help to say there is only potentially ONE fingerprint that can be used for the entire show if the intro never changes. Taking an example - The Big Bang Theory, it used the same Intro throughout all 12 seasons - therefore the downloaded FP (metadata) for that show would be, as you say a binary Chromaprint of just the Intro (24 seconds of it) - but it would be linked to TVDBId=80379 for EVERY Episode. It contains no other data (such as timings) and other than linking to TVDBId 80379, it has nothing in it that can reconstructed as the Big Bang Theory 'Intro' theme - it's just a bunch of Chromaprint FP Data - you could not reconstruct the Big Bang Intro from it even if you wanted to. Upon downloading it once (as Metadata) - you THEN create your own FP of each episode segment (10 minutes worth - as Introskip Plugin and Core do now) but this time you COMPARE it against your known good Big Bang Intro FP metadata - there is no need to compare Episode to Episode. Once you get a hit - THEN the timing for your local Episode is calculated and that becomes your Intro data for that Episode. No data is uploaded, the same way as no metadata is uploaded today. Using the show Poster and Season Posters is a good analogy - you may just have one FP for the Show, or if the Intro changes per Season, you may have one per Season - but unless the show has a different Intro per Episode (rare), then this should be all you need. I hope I got that right - I don't want to confuse matters further ! edit - to add, it would also potentially save a significant amount of local disk space for the .bin (FP) files - For my 25K episodes, I have 50K of .bin files at about 12Gb on disk (Introskip Plugin has one from intro and a second for the Credits, Core just has an Intro FP bin file) - only the show and season level FP's would be needed using this new method (once downloaded), so a fraction of this total.1 point

Thank you so much! It was the Fatherhood movie causing the issue. I couldn't delete it but Cut and Pasted everything except Fatherhood to a yet again new folder. It auto updated, I added a new movie and it updated perfectly. Thanks again1 point

I must be doing a very bad job of explaining what this system is then. You already have a bunch of systems that pull data in from various data sources, Images, Subtitles, Metadata info fror\m all sorts of data sources. This is just another data source for info about media files. In this case it is a fingerprint of the theme audio. In fact it is even better than all the other sources of data (safer) as there is no actual copy righted images or logos or anything, it is a fingerprint representing a audio segment, it is not the audio segment, think of it like a description of how the audio sounds (based on freq distribution over time) Audio finger print approaches are nothing new, think of picard the song identifier.1 point

I have a a server running on "Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 0 @ 3.20GHz." I avoid transcoding HEVC entirely on it. h264 is fine for many at a time but the amount of resources it takes this old 6-core to transcode HEVC is not even close to practical. I only direct play HEVC because it's like mining crypto just to watch a movie on this thing. I'm waiting a little longer for GPU prices to keep falling and I plan to get a GTX 2050 or something like that to transcode HEVC with NVENC. I thought about using QS on a 12th gen Intel because people say QS does just fine now, but if you compare the performance it seems NVENC still runs circles around QS. Another reason is that when the CPU is loaded with h264 transcodes I'm seeing some "iowait". I suspect that high CPU usage is holding up the storage controller (also on CPU I think) or something, which maybe could be alleviated by offloading the h264 transcodes to a GPU. The extra 2 cores will be great but I still don't recommend software transcoding HEVC.1 point

In my case, this would be a disaster, as I have a few thousand files and the identification of some movies is not reliable enough. I had to fix quite some identifications manually, something that I don't want to do again. It would be cool if there were an option to serialize the DB into files (nfo?) so that they can remain stable during a complete re-scan..1 point
