  2. Ok so my request is to be able to search each library separate as it stands when you search it searches everything, and if like me you have 30k music tracks 10k books/comics 10k episodes and 10k+ movies, searching is slow so is it possible to have a search section for each library individually

  4. You've grown up with watching live tv but on television only runs garbage? You have a big library but don't know what to watch next? Then this for you: "VirtualTV" - my new live tv plugin that allows you to create custom channels based on conditions of your Emby library content. What's missing: Maybe codec conditions Known problems: Needs Emby Premier to work (Playback) Emby's live tv and playback api is very limited, so i've had to make some detours to get things working. The plugin has two general playback modes: "continous" and "playlist" playback. With "continous" mode you can also choose between "live", which bahaves like real live tv or "archive", which plays the videos from the start. In "Continuous" mode multiple videos are queued and concatenated to one big file with the help of ffmpeg. To make this happen every video in the queue has to have some common features (video and audio codec). That's why it often happens that the video also has to be transcoded by ffmpeg. For transcoding the plugin relies on Emby's internal transcoding engine. If there's a problem, not uncommon with hardware acceleration enabled, the plugin also has a problem. Nothing i can do about it. The availability of subtitle tracks is mostly dependant of the Emby user playback settings. In continous playback mode only one (the default) subtitle track can be used and this one has to be burnded into the video (transcoding takes place). In "Playlist" playback mode the videos are pushed as a playlist to the Emby clients. It's like you would play your videos directly from your libraries. This way you get all the features you are used to. Audio and subtitle selection, pause, skipping around and similar things. "Native" playback method was created by the Emby Devs. Similar to Playlist playback it will play the real library videos, but with the big difference that playback is purely initiated by the client app, without any remote command execution. This is why it also works for Roku devices on a WAN network. And although the real videos are played, the whole thing is treated like live TV. This means that channel zapping is possible and no dialogs for playing the next episode are displayed. Unfortunately, the new playback method does not yet support all features. As the name "Archive" suggests, it will currently always start all videos from the beginning. In addition, only very few Emby apps automatically advance to the next video. If you want it to be improved even further, each of you should raise your voice in this thread. To get things started install the plugin via Emby's plugin catalog and restart Emby. Setup your channels with a name and number and choose your playback mode. In the channel conditions you'll have to select an Emby account. This account is used to get library access, respect parental rating, reading watched states and selecting the stream language. At least one textual input field of the conditions has to be filled to get some program data. Fields with an asterisk are either evaluated with an "AND" or "OR" condition among each other. Finally, if you've chosen "Continous Playback" for one of you channels, take a look at the transcoding settings. Save your channel line up and manually trigger a "Guide Refresh". Now have fun! Version History: After a plugin update, always clear your browser cache. If your settings still don't load in the config screen, you have to move the "VirtualTV.xml" out of ...\plugins\configurations and restart Emby. Start from scratch. 2.0.0.0 Unlimited number of channels; New playback method "Native (Archive)"; New security concept for the Export API 2.0.2.0 Performance improvements to Guide Refresh; Preview for Add/Edit Channels; Option to disable Program indicators 2.0.3.0 Fixed missing Playlist sort order for some Content Types; Added support for Seasons with Content Source Collections 2.1.0.0 Selectively enable channels for specific users; Create copies of existing channels; Ordered unwatched episode playback 2.1.5.0 Added option to (auto)enable channels on a specific date range; Bug fixing

  5. @@Luke stated in a previous post (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/49933-replaygain-music-support/) adding support for this could easily be done for at least the theater client seeing as the player used already supports replaygain. I'm making this feature request in hopes that this support is added, as I have no dev experience myself

  6. Well it's just weird because I got it on other things too... like at random when I'd refresh the home page, go to a video, etc... And from the logs it says EmbyServer.dll was trying to do something with ffmpeg, and then that it wasn't able to access something... But I don't really know anything about this so, you're probably right. Anyway... now at random (I didn't change ANYTHING) it just stopped doing it completely (exception of a couple extra restarts trying to trigger the error again with a smaller log to look through)... So it seems all is working... I have no idea what's going on... Honestly, I could have just rebuilt the VM and started over again, probably would have been easier than digging through all of this lol Either way, I thank you for your help.

  7. A couple of observations: 1) It doesn't look like trakt api is updated when I seek in the video, because if I start the episode from the beginning and seek to the half way point and start again, trakt.tv still shows the playback in the beginning. 2) If I stop playback at the halfway point, and then start playback again (resume), trakt.tv shows the playback at the halfway mark of a 3 hr video. That all confirms the percentage is sent by emby correctly. I also tried playback on a different media server with an external app called plextraktsync doing the scrobbling and trakt.tv displays the runtime as 47 minutes, which is also what the trakt.tv website lists the episode length as: https://trakt.tv/shows/v/seasons/1/episodes/3 I'll try to see how plextraktsync scrobbles and whether they send the runtime info or not

  9. Gotcha, I saw that 4.7 has a huge change list... Not too bothered by it, everything is actually working as expected now... So I dunno. I'm going to assume the permissions are set correctly on ffmpeg and all that. Thanks for the input.

  10. Emby for LG 1.0.35 has been released. We hope you enjoy the many new features of this build! Visual Timeline Seeking including Thumbnail Graphics Included in our new 1.0.35 release for LG is support for visual seeking. You can Rewind, Fast Forward or Jump to any position in the timeline quickly and easily using our new seeking. Best of all, our new seeking combined with thumbnail graphics makes it easy to pin-point the scene you want to re-watch or queue up. The above pictures shows how easy it is to find a scene you want to watch. You even get the chapter name embedded in the thumbnail picture. Speaking of which, Chapters make use of our thumbnail graphics as well with their own set of information and use of graphics. The above screenshot shows the use of Thumbnail graphics in our Chapter selector available from the easy to use OSD menu, no bull. This screen demonstrates how easy it is to view the Name, Starting Time as well as Thumbnail showing the action taking place at the start of the Chapter. Improvement to Audio On Screen Display (OSD) You can now toggle the play queue on and off, allowing you to choose between seeing the list, or just the artwork. This change makes room for additional space needed for a new user requested feature that is quite popular. New Use of Graphics Elements This release of Emby for Mac uses additional graphical elements in subtle ways that sure to please. It still has the classy interface you've come to love but uses additional graphics in a modest manner giving it an elegant and refined look. The screenshots above demonstrates this with a couple simple changes from a text based titles to the graphical logos. Additional useful information is now available right in the OSD besides the chapter shown above. You can now quickly get a look at different things on TV with graphics using On Now or easily bring up a traditional Guide in grid format. These new OSD designs strike a nice balance of providing additional information while still allowing you to easily enjoy the content be watched. Of course that's not all. Emby for LG 1.0.35 has additional new features and fixes including: Better remote control and fixes for certain models Improve Performance with Large Libraries Improved Performance of Playlist Detail Screen Improved Audio Book Detail Screen Addition of a Resume Rewind Playback Option (Server version 4.7+ required) Newly added Support for A-Z Picker with Descending Order New Support for A-Z Picker when Sorting by Album or Album Artist Various Improvements for Subtitles New Options for Subtitles allowing you to set Background Color and Opacity Options for Easier Viewing View the full article

  11. Hi, can you remove the duplicate library from emby library setup?
    1 point
  12. It's OK, I can see what the issue is. It seems to only affect this older model TV

  13. You are just adding criteria that's simply not necessary. @GrimReaper has the right idea about a simple toggle for universal search or local library search.

  15. If the media is on a NAS it would work as you'll be accessing it via Ethernet using Samba or NFS mounts. But if you have a NAS with QuickSync on board I'd run Emby Server on the NAS as it's basically a Linux PC. If you don't have a ZEON CPU or Celeron with Quicksync at the heart of your NAS the ShieldTV is probably the better server since it can do hardware transcoding. Which NAS do you have? The ShieldTV wasn't really built to be a server but a powerful player. It happened to be powerful enough with hardware transcoding to stand in as a server on a limited basis which might be all some people will ever need. In my playing/testing the ShieldTV seems to work well with a couple drives attached (Pre-11) but I can only load about a 1/4 of my full library on it as it runs out of memory. Not surprising however as I've got a few times more content then Netflix, Amazon & Hulu combined so I'm not sure that's fair or anything a normal person would do. I've had no problems using the ShieldTV as a server on portable systems with a few drives plugged in (pre-11). Between my buddies RV and our family sailboat the portable system was used a lot for a couple years. We've both since switched to permanent systems, him with a Pi and me a Tim Allen "More Power" NUC with 4 marine APs (20-30 boats tied together all streaming). I personally wouldn't run out to purchase a ShieldTV with the intention of making a server as there are better choices, but if you already have it and want to make better use of it and have a moderate size library it should do you well. So go for it, especially since you're not moving the media and it's going to stay on the NAS. That makes the process to setup pretty easy. I'd say it depends for your last question. Some people have reported problems with slight pauses or stuttering when transcoding (for another playback device) and watching high end 4K video on the ShieldTV. I've don't recall hearing any issues with normal HD media like 1080p. The combination of transcoding and handling high bitrate 4K video might be too much for it to handle at the same time. That of course is something you can test if you will be transcoding for others and playing back yourself. You can push the ShieldTV pretty hard and get it to do things you wouldn't think it should be able to handle but it's not a PC and does have limits. Keep that in mind and you'll be fine.

  18. Yeah. It makes it really hard to listen to playlists across multiple albums without constantly having to adjust volume. Would be great to see this feature added, as well as separate audio playback settings for music vs video.

  19. Thanks! After your comments i was able to solve my problem already. But GetTunerHostInfos(null) could be handy regardless.

  20. I submitted a sample app to Samsung last night based on their own demo player. I already had this ready to go as I used it previously for an independent test to prove that it wasn't our app. It works fine on the model/year prior to yours, but not on your model. Let's see what they say. It can take some time for them to come back on questions.

  21. Hi, for us it is resolved in the upcoming 4.7 server release. You can also use our hosted web app now with your 4.6.7 server: http://app.emby.media

  24. Ah, thanks for the info! I appreciate it! Short term at least, my issue is resolved. Outside of the tv tuner I don't really have any other sources of mpeg-2 encoded material these days, so I'm not overly concerned about running into issues, unless they are something that shows up on broadcast. I'll try to remember to check again after next release, and switch back to DX11VA and see if the issue stops happening. Thanks!

  25. Hard to tell what happened without a log. Do you allow Emby to save .nfo files with your media? It's possible it has been recognized as something else. Can you check the movies folder on the filesystem for the contents of the nfo if present.

  26. Just installed Update 1. Not much there and everything went well. Fixes: Fixed an issue where users couldn't upload files to DSM via the Finder on macOS Big Sur 11. Fixed multiple security vulnerabilities regarding Netatalk (CVE-2022-0194, CVE-2022-23121, CVE-2022-23122, CVE-2022-23123, CVE-2022-23124, CVE-2022-23125).

  28. The codec section breaks the plugin at the moment. I’m working on a fix for it right now.

  29. Yeah, well that's because they force you to be "logged in" with them... We don't. You do not have to have any sort of account with us to use our system or purchase Premiere. That does make some of this type of thing a little more complicated, but it also means we aren't in charge of all of your users - you are.

  30. a way maybe can solve the problem edit /emby-server/system/dashboard-iu/modules/htmlvideoplayer/basehtmlplayer.js add the code maxBufferLength:6 after emeEnabled:!1 var hlsOptions={manifestLoadingTimeOut:2e4,debug:!1,testBandwidth:!1,emeEnabled:!1,maxBufferLength:6};

  31. @XSR, Thanks! As a Systems/Server/Network admin for almost 2 decades I am inclined to warn that these settings will cause issues on lower builds of Windows 10/Windows Server, and are not recommended. TLS 1.3 is not supported by most thing at this time and most browsers will end up only using TLS 1.2. Please only apply the settings provided by @XSRIf your build of Windows is at least what he listed! Side note, IIS Crypto was used as it was an easy-to-use, highly tested, industry standard tool that if using one of the template settings won't break things. I can however confirm, that those settings will enable TLS 1.3 if you're on one of the latest preview builds of Windows 10 21H1.

  32. Since my ReplayGain topic was marked as "duplicate", I'm gonna add my comment over here: "Just like all the info added to the music library by the music plugins after the scanning process is completed, ReplayGain should also be added to the database, avoiding the hassle of adding the information to the id3 tag by ourselves, keeping the files untouched. A ReplayGain setting should also be added to all apps, in case we don't want to use the feature at any given moment." Thanks.
