  2. Can we have an option to flatten series if there are XX episodes or less. Just provides the ability to eliminate one frustrating click. I wouldn't want it on my 1,000+ episode Looney Tunes series. However, when you only have one or two seasons in a series, it helps drill down easier.

  3. just recently discovered Emby after years of Plex use and still testing in test phase before i move my 5000+ moves and 400+ cd albums over. So far i really enjoy it and so do my users on LG webos, Apple TV and Shield boxes - kudos to the people creating this nice set of applications. I really love listening to my own tunes while driving my car. Most of my CDs are compilations and i think i have the folder structure right, because all the apps show the artist vs album artist correctly, except for the Carplay part of the iOS app. For compilation albums it says 'Various Artists' for the currently playing track instead of the actual track artist. i'm sure the track artist is correct as in the other apps it's showing correctly. thanks for considering my feat request, and i'm sorry if this has already been requested. tx

  6. Hi, yes we'll probably add this I would think. Thanks.

  7. Thanks for looking into it, but the answer doesn't change: Iconic is actively supported on the current stable release of Emby.

  10. I'd like to request that the Playlist library have a displayed category and, "widget" on the homescreen in the similar fashion that movies, TV shows, music are shown. I create topical/seasonal playlists that I'd like my family members to see displayed from the homescreen with "recently added" carousel style. Currently, to the best of my knowledge, playlists are only accessible via their shortcut in the, "My Media" section. Thanks for your consideration!

  11. You will create more issues as downgrading would/could corrupt your current install as the database has changed over time and that topic is from almost 8 years ago so issues them are not the same issues now. But you can check GitHub for previous releases. Releases · MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases (github.com)

  12. Haha, I’ll look into the editor part. Home Screen unfortunately is native Emby. But I’m sure there must be a way.

  14. AFAIK Only Theater UWP (Windows Store) has offline capability/download features, Theater Desktop doesn't still. Feature unification is on the roadmap, though.

  15. Thanks @wordlover, I have it on my list to create a new process that will sort already created lists, but this will be a different process entirely, for perf reasons. Then you could even change the sorting once it’s already been created…. Added bonus

  16. Hey @gingerninja, @Tangsgodis correct. I’ll be working on the beta branch next.

  17. If i good anderstood, the plugin doesn't work yet with the beta, to try it you should have the last stable server version.

  18. Aha! Now sorting is working as I expected - my mistake was editing earlier Smart Playlists, rather than just recreating from scratch using the updated plugin.

  19. Right. It's done already, but the .23 doesn't have the updated ffmpeg yet.

  21. ok, I think I see the problem. I'll try to fix in in next version.

  22. CloudFlare - mixed up with another thread, I guess. I have never had a problem with any version of nssm. The versions I have in use are 2.24 and 2.25, and they are stable on both Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 (but also WS2016 and WS2012 before that). Version 2.24 was released in 2014, and 2.25 is a beta from 2017 - the lack of later updates is a clear indication of faultless stability, I'd say; both those versions are linked on their download page. 23. Hi, this is supported using the audio books content type and will be improved in the upcoming Emby Server 4.7 release. Thanks.

  25. There is a similar situation with recordings. If you record something then at some later time delete it in Emby, the recording file is gone but the directory and nfo file is still there. I had thought about creating a garbage collector plugin with a scheduled task for that but haven't so far.

  26. Ah excuse the confusion, it's as Luke saidI mislabeled the thread.

  27. Yes, it really is that simple, and in fact Caddy has even automatically fetched updates of the faulty certificates I had which were revoked by Let's Encrypt last week. Of course, one can do more sophisticated things, but I don't feel the need for them. And yes, "agree" is no longer needed. The built-in command to run Caddy as a service is for Linux. The current instructions for Windows use the WinSW service wrapper rather than nssm, but I see no need to change from the former instructions (which used nssm, which I also use for Emby anyway). The basic difference is that WinSW uses a config file , but nssm has a setup GUI. I'd suggest getting the reverse proxy going before thinking about CloudFlare - do you have any specific reason for wanting to use it? Paul

  28. okay I manually copied the file and it seems to work without problems.

  29. ok - Cert looks good - btw, I would remove the details from this public forum ... If 'trust all certs' works in beta, then there must be some issue with Cloudflare and Amazon - you may need to take it up with them I'm afraid.

  33. If I am not mistaken, when a librairie is updating, we see the progress (pourcentage & circle) for the file that is being processed, but not for the process of the librairie itself. Doing it that way, it's impossible to know how the updating progress goes. Is it the firsts files or is it the lasts files that are being processed? We can't know, we can't even know what the name of the file being processed, so, what the point? Displaying the progress for the whole librairie update has much more interest, because this is what we want to know : Having an idea if this is the begining or the end of the task

  35. My Emby server is entirely automated, except for this one aspect. I must manually enter the admin account simply to checkmark this setting and vacuum the database. Very inconvenient when everything else is working flawlessly. Without vacuuming regularly [almost daily], the server quickly becomes unusably slow. I appreciate that the setting was implemented in the beta version of the mobile app. I humbly request this be added to the scheduler to make things significantly easier. Please, tell me this is already on the roadmap.

  36. In my case, the global section at the top of the caddyfile reads: { email pwh@cassland.org order replace after encode grace_period 10s } Only the email address is relevant (replacing the use of the command line in Caddy 1); the "order" is specifically for use with a plugin called "replace" for modifying proxied pages before sending them on, and the "grace_period" shortens a delay I get (on Windows) when updating Caddy's configuration while running. The command line (specified in two parts for nssm, because the program and arguments have separate entries) is simply: caddy run because I have the Caddyfile in the same directory as the executable, just named "caddyfile" with no extension. HTH (I'm off to bed now) Paul

  37. Another recent Let's Encrypt issue has been some faulty certificates which were issued recently (I don't know the exact time-scale, nor the number of bad certificates involved - I got two warning notifications from them while using a couple of dozen certificates). These certificates were revoked on 31 Jan, and depending on the programming of the client using them, may have stopped working on that date. These certificates needed reissuing, but to the best of my knowledge, Caddy (v2.4.2 and up) is the only client which will have within three days requested updated certificates automatically as a result of the revocation. 38. Well, I've contributed a number of posts about my Caddy configuration, but I won't go searching for them, because the only content of my Caddyfile which is relevant to Emby is this: emby.cassland.org { reverse_proxy http://streamer.cass.dom:8096 } Literally just that (a little simpler than the nginx configurations we see!) - there is nothing else (apart from fourteen other web sites, some of which need a couple of dozen lines), and it works fine. Caddy is v2.4.5, but it worked just as well with earlier v2 versions. Caddy is running on Windows Server 2019 as a service under the control of nssm. Emby is running on Windows 10 as a service, also under the control of nssm. Are you having a problem with getting this to work? Paul

  39. Thanks cayars! Indeed, I have a CAD workstation with a recent GPU around and was surprised Handbrake isn't making use of it. I'll definitely try if ffmpeg does better.

  40. @SynesthesiaBruh PSG are graphical subs and most clients will require transcoding. So PSG sub has to be burned into video track, media is forced to be Transcoded. Without PSG subs the media can be direct streamed as video track is untouched. PSG sub burn in 15:09:39.069 Stream mapping: 15:09:39.069 Stream #0:0 (hevc) -> format (graph 0) 15:09:39.069 Stream #0:2 (pgssub) -> scale (graph 0) 15:09:39.069 overlay (graph 0) -> Stream #0:0 (libx264) 15:09:39.069 Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (dts (dca) -> ac3 (native)) No subs 15:09:40.390 Stream mapping: 15:09:40.390 Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (copy) 15:09:40.390 Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (dts (dca) -> ac3 (native)) Now if you had text-based subtitles burn in would not be required.

  42. Hi all, many things have changed and are new. Some of them are around for quite a while in the beta, but have remained widely unnoticed. But another large package of changes is just being added right now. Please wait until the next beta before trying anything as the new things are not consistent in the current beta. There will also be a series of videos, explaining the new features in detail. sw

  44. I think that would be a bad security practice as it exposes the fact that the server is there to everyone (hackers).

  45. Also it sounds like in your case you have everything living on one machine, where there are many others like myself that have multiple servers doing different tasks. My storage sits on it's own dedicated system, while Emby is one of many VM's that run on my VM host. So I can take all my storage down without ever having to take down any of my other servers (90% are VMS)

  46. ...and it doesnt have to be maintenance. Lets say you want to use the bandwidth for something else on your upload speed. So for that week, or day, or 3 hours on some random tuesday. The time interval of down time is really meaningless. They key is for that time period the remote users see a message telling them your custom message. Which could be "down for maintenance" or "be back at 4pm EST" or whatever. This isnt for everyone, this is for users who host other users on their systems. I totally see how this could be useful. The tough part is getting this into the clients, the easy part is getting it into the server. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

  47. @@Vidman we aren't a large multi-national company with thousands of employees to monitor and maintain our media with enterprise level datacentres. we are singular people whom require a simple method of taking all content 'offline' while and when we work on our inferior systems. I have to say, your line of questioning seems mildly aggressive for little to no apparent reason... If I need an entire week to complete my maintenance, I expect my users to understand this or they can bugger off. After all, they're benefiting entirely for my hobby, right? Sure, Netflix aren't likely to do this - but quite frankly, that's an unfair comparison by all accounts.
