So... I've been running this plugin for a bit over a week and what can I say... This is awesome and it works quite well already. Sure, some manual fixing here and there but overall it's freaking great. Thanks for the awesome work, everyone!3 points

That's really a problem with the piss poor data from providers. xTeVe needs something static to indicate that it is a current channel and not a new one. What providers are supposed to do is keep the channel name the same, and provide show info in the xmltv file. Not change the channel name for each and every PPV event. If that were the case for PPV that you noted, and is also true for sports packages, you wouldn't see all the channel flopping. The author does respect CUID if it exists in the m3u entry. Think of it as a guid for the channel and is used as that static element it needs to know if it is an existing channel or not. Few providers (I know of only 1) and a few apps that generate m3u files provide that data however.2 points

I didn't attempt a reset, just installed hotfix. Uninstall the apps and reinstall.2 points

Just an update for everyone. Thanks to everyone that has chipped in with ideas and tips to solve my issues without doing a fallback to Shield 8.2.3 I've got my Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 working to somewhat serve my purpose :- 1.) File explorers are working 2.) Emby Server is working fine, seems fast now as well. I can stream via webapp and also thru Emby Next Gen 6.2.6 in Kodi 3.) I am able to restore my Kodi build backup (this saved me a lot of time mucking around with setups etc). Got the idea to use Kodi's File Manager in another thread here to copy my backup into the Profile\Addon Data folder and the restore utility could see the backup and restore it. 4.) Emby-next-gen 6.2.6 for Kodi is fast, building a fresh library took a jiffy. 5.) Haven't tried loading Retroarch yet, but i don't game much nowadays anyway so it's a smaller issue. 6.) All streaming apps on the Shield is working - Netflix, Prime, other IPTV stuffs. Keyword for everyone facing these issue are :- a.) Install the Nvidia hotfix. remount NAS drives etc b.) reinstall file explorers, kodi and what other apps you have that's not working and give it permissions again2 points

I'm a big fan of services such as Rifftrax, and I hate having to manually mux files every time I purchase another release. Much in the same way that external subtitle file support was added, it would be nice to have external audio track support for TV and movies added as well. I wouldn't expect Emby to handle the offset calculations needed to sync the audio. It's not too difficult for me to modify that now.1 point

I would love the option to store Emby's database in MySQL - I have a setup that serves around 30 people and I feel that there would be real performance gains by using a proper relational backend over SQLite (I'm presuming). On top of this it would make life easier for me when reporting on watched status a cross users.1 point

Removes eg. Audio and Subtitle Tracks from selected (in Explorer) MKVs which do not match your preferred language(s) ignores files which do not contain at least 1 audio track with any one of your preferred languages ignores files which do not contain audio tracks other than your preferred languages instances a wait state to prevent multiple mkvmerges running at same time to prevent a disk bottleneck (not spindle aware) Halts processing if Mkvmerge errors or temp processing file not found. (to protect deleting original file if an issue) Test with extreme caution. This script deletes processed files Installation copy script/reg to filesystem. set your preferred languages in the script Edit .reg with path to your script and run .reg to import. Right-click one or more mkvs and choose "KeepLanguage". Changes v0.0.0.7 corrects some behaviour when path contains special characters Keeplanguage v0.0.0.7.zip1 point

i have the .20 beta server connected to a hdhomerun 4k flex. ATSC 3.0 channels seem to be working with transcoded, stereo audio on my 2019 shield tv pro and late model 4k firestick. pretty happy that works, cheers to the folks who got things thus far. both boxes are running the latest stable android apk, v2.0.48. i did try the latest .64 android tv beta and fire tv beta but can't get passed the loading spinner for either box when tuning ATSC 3 channels. a question on the shield pro - should it support AC-4 audio natively without transcoding or is this the best i can hope for at the moment? i read reports on the hdhomerun forums before they started doing cloud transcoding in their app that it could handle the audio for ATSC 3 broadcasts.1 point

With the ScripterX script etc? Yup sure did. Updated the doc in github. Next release I'll remove the "experimental" label. Thanks1 point

I would not call that butchering. 1) It added a TVG_id to link to the xmltv entries. I believe Emby and the others require xmltv entries to display channels. 2) Added a group, which really helps if you have a lot of channels (not so much with Emby yet, but for things like TiviMate it's huge), and the channel name at the end (same as the tvg-name) 3) It changes the link to point to itself in this case so that it can provide buffering and only use 1 provider stream no matter how many of its clients are watching the same show. I think if you turn off the self streaming it will redirect the client to the providers stream. All worthwhile additions IMO. Remember xTeVe was not written to be a simple channel editor. It was written to trick Plex into playing IPTV by spoofing as a HDHomerun.1 point

Hi, I've never heard of this error before. Are you still having an issue with this today? Based on here: https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/issues/43682 They think it's a windows defect. Is windows fully up to date?1 point

Hello @@All, I'm new to Emby and quite missing the possibility to sort my audio playlist e.g. by artist ort album. Is there already a feature to do this or is it on the roadmap?1 point

Thanks for the positive feedback ! @chef and us testers have worked very hard on this plugin. 'It just works' is what we were striving for The next public Beta is soon to be released - with core speed improvements and other new and improved functionality - so stay tuned.1 point

Super easy to automatically remove VOD content. Fast drag and drop of whole groups of channels from one group to another. Mass updating of channels. Mass automated matching of channels to other EPGs. Super easy re-ordering of channels by group, alphabet or other method. Creation of channels numbers starting with numbers outside a range already in use, etc... It's not only what it does but how it does things. You can for example bulk move channels that are hidden to the bottom of a list to get them out of your working area condensing the channels you are interested to the top of the list. You can do things lik compound sorts, meaning you can sort lists alphabetically while they still stay grouped. An example is having a sort of channels that are visible and also a sort of hidden channels but they stay grouped by visible/hidden. etc... You can add or remove other m3u or xml guides easily in m3u4u while such actions utterly destroy xTeVe setups. Working with multiple m3u's in xTeVe can require an instance of xTeVe for each while m3u4u can easily handle multiple sets independently or together as one list. It does a lot of thing easily that you would struggle with in xTeVe if you can do it at all.1 point

PlaySessionId is only related to a particular stream. It should have been named StreamSessionId.1 point

Ahh, and I just contacted that retired Systems Engineer with the 404 errors that there might be an opening1 point

Sorry but that is incorrect. Even if you manually tell the server "this is who fast I want the connection to be" your ISP can use deep packet inspection to see what the data is that you are moving, and if it is something they do not like they will throttle the ever loving crap out of it. I have gigabit service, my friends on cable have gigabit service, they can watch Netflix 4k and Amazon 4k no problem. They can't connect to me at anything higher than 3mbit. Those locally who had the issue switched to the same ISP I use and the problem "magically" went away as the ISP I am using does no traffic shaping at all. Heck my sister lives 3 blocks away from me and she has cable, and as soon as 8PM hits she can't watch anything at all because her ISP throttles the connection harder than a Prince Rupert's Drop. I've seen her get hit as hard as 1.5mb/s. Yes 1.5 megabits. It would be great if the dev team could somehow put a manual speed test on the client that goes to the server so we can actually see what is happening and then use that information to call out our crappy ISP's that are throttling the traffic. It would really help with troubleshooting connection issues.1 point

BINGO! This morning I did a search on button remapping for the shield, of course there is an app, so I downloaded it ... Cool little app, it did just what you were suggesting. A long hold of the back button now gets me back to HOME .... I thank you. Both remotes are the newer style, I liked it on the newer "cigar" Shield so I replaced the old remote for the Shield Pro ... not sure why the long hold wasn't set to work as others kept stating, but the mapping app kicked it into gear. Again ... Thanks to all that offered assistance1 point

What cayars said is correct. Plus you have the potential to have richer guide data assigned to the channels doing it yourself.1 point
-
It doesn't need to be handled the exact same way. You can dig a swimming pool with a shovel, but a dozer would be a better tool.1 point
-
Sorry again, I didn't understand how it works, I forgot to add the list of channels too, thanks for your quick reply1 point
-
Exactly this! I only wish when modifying the channels we could simply sort them quickly. Instead of dragging them into place. I have all my channels mapped and using specific channel numbers. I map the channels to numbers based off alphabetical order.1 point

Do you mean Emby Connect? It's entirely optional and I don't use it myself. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong - Connect is meant to simplify access by associating registered users with registered servers. It sends users to the right servers without them having to remember server names or addresses, which can change. For Connect to work my previous post still applies. Remote access has to be enabled and configured and a valid cert is still required for HTTPS access. Connect does not add access or security.1 point

Hi I have been running MB3 for some time now using a supporter key and a few premium features, today I purchased a new feature using a different email, got the different supporter key and went to link the two. Only now neither key works on top of this if I try and use the retrieve key link I get " There was an error processing your request " Excerpt from log below1 point
