Request that Emby server store Dolby Vision (including profile), Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HDR10+ (smpte2094) and HLG for appropriate video in the db and use it for display in the media info and track selection sections of movie/episode details screen. Please read this post first. I was wondering if it would be possible to add something that would allow you to skip the intro to shows automatically while binge watching. When watching Netflix it does this for some shows, and im not sure if thats a feature of Netflix itself or a Chrome extension i use called "Flix Assist" but it would be a nice feature to have within Emby as well. and possibly even create a custom timed skip for specific shows

Can you add an option, when resuming an AudioBook, to rewind playback (ex: 3-30 seconds) depending on how long the pause was? (Without rewinding beyond the beginning of a chapter) My favorite audiobook app does this and it greatly improves the listening experience. When I am repeatedly interrupted, and need to repeatedly pause my book, I'm not resuming in the middle of a word (3 second rewind). When I'm resuming after a long pause I'm given a few sentences to remember where I'm at in the book (30 second rewind). I would love for these values to be adjustable at the library level, or perhaps a few presets. ex: no rewind, short [up to 15 seconds], medium [up to 30 seconds] Thanks.

Yeah, thanks, I got it. On UNRAID it usually 99 (nobody) and 100 (group) which is what I use. I was confused by the "default value" being set to 2. But I basically set it up the same way as I had the binhex/emby docker as well... It was easier to pass my nvidia card to the official docker for some reason.. Regardless everything seems to be working smoothly... .. Now gotta get my 10gb card working right.. Thanks again for the input -g

I had built a stream relay that I use for something else. When I saw their site I too wondered what the catch was and figured I'd setup a little honey trap with an m3u file using streams that ran through my system that was already in place. Logs always clean of IPs except the ones I expect to be there. That of course proves nothing but I've not had any issues with any of the services I've ran through them either. What I mean by that is if they were doing something like reselling your streams it would be cause problems when you're over the limit and get cutoff, etc. I think they do it because they needed that for themselves and just made it available to others with a donation. I know some providers do not like them and probably for good reason. They can convert the "unspoken" format that has become popular back to m3u/xml files which makes them ok in my book. But like anything else when you put a bit of trust in someone you don't know, keep an eye on things and stop using them and immediately change your provider password if something is wrong. Personally, for the value they add to my m3us vs what I'd actually be out if something was wrong is a no brainer for me.

when setting or re-setting a password, it would be handy to have the option to see the existing pw and the new one going in. unless there is some security reason for not showing because emby is a server.? not on the log in screen.

You can also change cache and vacuum from the system.ini. They have been hidden options for a long time. No, Emby does not use log4j.

Totally agree. And, it is at least every month, sometimes, the new version will be out before the end of the month and you have to install this version, as the devs are counting the 30 days always from releasing the last version, not once every month. And, of course, if you have a family like me, after reinstalling the app you have to make all the app settings for every single user again. Normally I would like to have the "remember user" setting disabled, but as it is so complicated to set (you have to enter manual login) I stopped setting this every time. For every TV, yes, I have 2 TVs to do this, but it still is a pain in the ass as it is totally unnecessary. And you have to do it every time, on one of my TVs the app now stopped working after the month. On the other TV, there is the nag requester to tell me, there would be a new version. But this requester does not open when starting the app, no, it waits some seconds and most time I have already started playing from next up and the requester is messing all things up.

Same here and only on Xbox Series X. Xbox One X is fine. Series X is a complete disaster right now. Really looking forward to the new app @Luke.
