  3. I seriously doubt any Sony has Apple OS, likely it has Google TV (Android TV) with AirPlay as an additional feature.

  4. Unfortunately, there is still a minor sync issue. I try to fix it in next version (hard to test). What I try to tackle is a realtime sync issue. In some edge cases, the realtime sync stops. A Kodi restart fixes the problem. So it doesn't really goes completely out of sync, just annoying. No need to perform specific tests, I know what I'm looking for

  5. One thing that I would like to see implemented is the abilty to display lyrics in all of the apps. For those of us who have libraries with lyrics embedded in the actual files, it would be trivial. Simply scrape the lyrics from the lyrics tag and display them. As far as scraping from online lyrics databases, I don't see that working very well as just about every app that I have seen use it either doesn't get the correct lyrics or they are truncated with an add for the website.

  6. Great point! It seems like the only consistent thing about these watched indicators is how inconsistent they are.

  7. You can also change cache and vacuum from the system.ini. They have been hidden options for a long time. Sorry, I thought the new tab would have been in stable by now. <VacuumDatabaseOnStartup>false</VacuumDatabaseOnStartup> <DatabaseCacheSizeMB>1024</DatabaseCacheSizeMB> <OptimizeDatabaseOnShutdown>true</OptimizeDatabaseOnShutdown> <DatabaseAnalysisLimit>1000</DatabaseAnalysisLimit>

  10. Yes. The stream needs to be stream copied. So instead of "Static", use something like this: EnableAutoStreamCopy=true&VideoCodec=h264,h265,hevc&AudioCodec=aac,mp3 or just VideoCodec=copy&AudioCodec=copy Real media players are seeking to the start/resume position by requesting a http range value. Edit: just a second too late.

  11. Play around with the cache setting on the server may help. It also has a vacuum. I think the additional cache setting helped mine.

  13. as far as now : i fetch info from tmdb with api (no issue) and emby will play youtube url as it does for remote trailer (by calling native youtube from the client if it as the functionnality) so for that there is no issue

  14. And boy would I LOVE to move to Sony. But EBR is insistant on not porting the code from standard android Emby to Android TV Emby for the horizontal view. For this reason all the LG televisions in our family (parents included) are unable to transition away from LG at this point. We all prefer horizontal theme but prefer vertical on mobiles and tablets. In short, the devs should just support those 2 views/themes for customer choice seeing as they dont support a number of themes anyway....There are a number of reasons why Horizontal theme works best for us, as there are many niggles in vertical we dont like when using a TV as the viewing device, its simply cleaner UI in horizontal view without menu headings that are irrelevant because Emby changed the way they display that stuff is shown...too much to get into on thos one in this message...

  15. Works great on Live TV now. Managed to change the tags of over 100 channels in one go. Thanks

  16. That would be great and all but I am sure the idiots will still complain because of their ignorance. Because let's face it, the majority of people here have the attitude that "it should just F$Y$%#ING WORK!!" and then blame Luke et al when what they are trying to do is not technically possible, and call Emby a garbage product. But we all have to start somewhere.

  20. I added to the channels display a dropdown box with all of the channel tags. If you select one of these tags the channels will be filtered with that tag. Give it try. But, precede carefully because it has not been tested. Let me know if it works as expected. Vic EmbyTagApp19.html

  22. Analysis summary: The Synology DS220j NAS is not suitable for playback of most video files at all, due to its slow hardware, which is a real bottleneck. The video file we wanted to play only reached about 1.5 FPS. Best way to use this NAS is as storage only. The emby server should be on a fast hardware (like my gaming PC), which accesses the NAS files. (The NAS operating system wasn't really frozen, but very slow) Thanks for this perfect support!

  23. Hi, can you try renaming the series folder to include the series year? For example: /Séries/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood /Séries/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (xxxx) Then run a library scan and see if that helps. Thanks.

  24. OK I was going to say this is pretty easy to do with PIA. Glad you got it working! Depending on your computer, I would think about or try setting up a VM. A headless Linux server install running in a VM in hyper-v on windows would make this a lot easier to use and would only need 1 GB of memory. You could also do this another way but similar on Windows 10+ by installing WSL 2 backend. It's made to allow you to run docker and Linux based docker instances on windows but even if you have no interest in the docker part it integrate Linux right into Windows. https://docs.docker.com/desktop/windows/install/#system-requirements Check out the Windows app store "linux developer tools" and you will see free Linux distros meant for installing right into Windows. GIMP running on Windows Desktop Audacity minutes after doing a "sudo apt-get install" from a PowerShell prompt. Yep from PowerShell. It's so cool to be able to use Linux command in windows now! The cool part about this is that even though I now have use of these programs on the Windows desktop they run in their own VM like container where a VPN could run affecting only those programs. Pretty close to being an ultimate desktop this way as you get the best of both worlds blended together. It's only going to get better as well. WSL2 was a major improvement and the next version will likely blur the lines even more. Memory foot print is pretty small as well. Just thought I'd mention that in case you've never seen or heard of WSL before.

  25. NXP is a 3LA that takes getting used to. The program is called Jellyroll (using another app that name makes sense) https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61786&pid=548125 if you need help use that thread. I see I have to update instruction for Docker. You will need to be able to open a shell in bash to Docker. Martin

  26. Personally, I would love the ability/function to turn them off completely. In my setup, there's no need for a watch indicator. I don't watch shows via Emby and our film library is for repeated use/viewing. The green circle breaks up the aesthetic, IMHO.

  29. Then PLEASE put a sticky in the GENERAL server forum telling people about this and to avoid LG TVs if they care about emby. I only bought these pieces of junk because I have an LG I really like that is running emby perfectly so I made the false assumption these TVs would also. If LG is that difficult to deal with then everyone needs to know to avoid their products.

  31. The Emby system files can't be seen using File Station in DSM7 as they are no longer located in a shared folder. You will need something like Putty/Terminal/WInSCP in order to see the files created by Emby

  32. I had to nuke my VM and do a fresh install to correct this problem. The issue resides somewhere with updating from a version that didn't require the Tesseract dependency to one of the latest which does. As mentioned it does indeed cause failures on players that require transcoding.
