  1. Good Morning all and happy weekend to you all. Just to keep you in the loop.... there has been some significant work done to the plugin, with both UI and backend improvements. We are making some final tweaks and improvements and you should expect a Dev update dll in the next couple of days. And we will conduct a full system analysis on our production systems to test the accuracy prior to releasing this. Thanks for all your support and patience.

  2. Sure, For CentOS 7: yum -y update (to update ca-certificates to ca-certificates-2021.2.50-72.el7_9.noarch) # cp -i /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt ~/ca-bundle.crt-backup # trust dump --filter "pkcs11:id=%c4%a7%b1%a4%7b%2c%71%fa%db%e1%4b%90%75%ff%c4%15%60%85%89%10" | openssl x509 | sudo tee /etc/pki/ca-trust/source/blacklist/DST-Root-CA-X3.pem # update-ca-trust extract Ensure certbot is 1.19.0 and run: certbot renew --preferred-chain "ISRG Root X1" or update in /etc/letsencrypt/renewal/your_domain.conf and add under [renewalparams] the preffered chain parameter: preferred_chain = ISRG Root X1 But in order to ensure that no additional issues will be occurred by this, i've switched completely to a DigiCert certificate

  4. One thing that I would like to see implemented is the abilty to display lyrics in all of the apps. For those of us who have libraries with lyrics embedded in the actual files, it would be trivial. Simply scrape the lyrics from the lyrics tag and display them. As far as scraping from online lyrics databases, I don't see that working very well as just about every app that I have seen use it either doesn't get the correct lyrics or they are truncated with an add for the website.

  5. Currently right now it would be pretty much manually managed and Locked, as Emby would get Aired order as others do not exist.

  6. I can't answer on behalf of the Emby devs and what I'm saying is not a reflection on them or their views. But in a more general sense it's not uncommon common for developers to believe that their way is the right way and that they know better than the users. It's something that we've seen time and time again from companies like Apple, resisting user requests for a long time before eventually relenting with "Hey, this great new way of...". What a developer thinks is obvious or easy to use isn't necessarily what actually works in the real world, especially with users who are not particularly technologically inclined, and that's the reason I originally started this thread. Nothing has changed from this end in the period of time since I created the request, the full application is just not a workable solution for me (as in, me managing my wife.& children), in fact, even as a developer myself there's 0% chance of me ever using the Emby app to play music on my phone, I go straight to plexamp because it's a music app, the last time I used it was today while I was waiting having scans done in hospital.

  7. I've been using emby on desktop for music lately (web browser and theatre app). My biggest complaint is the play queue. When you reach the end of the play queue, it just disappears. It would be nice if the music stopped but the play queue remained intact so that I could restart or save it as a playlist. Oh. another nice feature would be to have cool visualizations like winamp had back in the day. Then I would play music on my home theatre during parties.... when we can have parties again... if we are ever allowed to have parties again :s

  8. Thank you friend! you really help me a lot I'll follow the tips and change the limit

  9. Most OSes have a maximum number of files a given process can open. Depending on OS try to check these with: sysctl kern.maxfiles sysctl kern.maxfilesperproc You can increase the limits (at your own risk) with: sysctl -w kern.maxfiles=20480 (or whatever number you choose) sysctl -w kern.maxfilesperproc=18000 (or whatever number you choose) Typically to make the change permanent, use sudo to put your settings in /etc/sysctl.con (which you may have to create), like this: kern.maxfiles=20480 kern.maxfilesperproc=18000 Research this yourself for your particular OS, besides doing anything more than a check.

  10. I would also like an app similar to plexamp. Which is awesome in every respect, from features to UI. The emby app works fine, even though it's not as refined, and I actually use it instead of plexamp since plex is a mess when it comes to library organization. What I don't like about emby is the android TV app. It's a mess when it comes to music.

  11. Correct as the setting does not apply to local network.

  12. I know it stinks. Unfortunately Kodi offers no (disclaimer) functionality BEFORE upgrading a plugin. After upgrade it's too late. Currently I have no better alternative. If you have a solution, I'll add it right away. I'll add some sort of warning, but if you decline, a MANUAL ROLLBACK to previous version will be required. Also you can disable auto updates. btw, there is a reason why it's called BETA repo or even EXPERIMENAL also, 3rd party addons ARE NOT AFFECTED. Only the DBs

  13. Why did my Kodi database automatically reset? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE? Now every add on that I have installed, my watch history has been reset. If you want me to reset my database, prompt that you recommended it but doing so automatically WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT THE OPTION TO SAY NO is WAY overly intrusive. You are not following the principle of least surprise which is a programming/system admin 101 first day on the job thing. When I logged into Kodi, I should have seen something that was telling me about what changes you wanted to make, not you just doing it without any warning or giving me any way to override. I am generally highly appreciative of folks who make free software but any software shouldn't make huge changes to my system without prompting and giving me a way out. FIX THIS!

  14. By chance are you running out of free space, or maybe transcode folder filling up? Will have to look but believe something like this happened with a free space issue.

  19. I will get these improvements done over the next week, I’ve been busy helping with the new IntroSkip plugin, but will have some time to tweak these changes. thanks for your patience

  21. Working perfectly for me. Search for similar topics here, you'll have to set your inode count higher.

  22. Have you tried using http instead of https? I don’t think this is something Emby can solve. Alternatively you could try another certificate provider but take note of all the expiry dates as this issue may become more common. LG will need to update the root certificates in a firmware update to resolve this.

  23. This works in my tests in 4.7.0.13. Update album artist tag fallback So since ffprobe can not see all the id3 tags on wav files, folder structure will be used.

  34. Yep. Just a few lines in the caddy file and it worked. Though, I probably could never have figured it out on my own based on their documentation. I already had a cert, but the built-in cert generation really is amazing. I'd still use Stunnel if it could do what I needed on Windows.

  35. There is a fix but you would have to find the location on your server as it would be different between platforms. It is a server side fix. Removing the cached certs (pfx) from the directory forces the download of the updated certs. Might have to restart the server, I haven't tested without restart.

  36. What is Spanish called? In Latin American countries, the Spanish language is simply called español (Spanish) as that is from where the language was brought. In Spain, however, the Spanish language is called castellano (Castilian), which refers the Castile province in central Spain where the language is said to have originated. Spaniards do not call the language español because there are other languages like Catalan (or Valencian), Galician and Basque which are spoken in Spain that would also be considered Spanish languages (lenguas españolas). The Evolution of Spanish The idea of “continental lag” was first coined by the linguist Albert Marckwardt to describe that the language which is brought to a new place changes less than the language from where it originated. This could explain why the words and phrases people use in Latin America are different – the language didn’t have time to “catch up” to its mother country (Spain). The influence of the people or countries around those speaking the language affects the vocabulary and the way of speaking as well. There are, for example, words borrowed from English because of a country’s proximity to the United States or the UK. Words like bistec, champú, cóctel are words that are commonly used in both Spain and Latin America. Before the Spanish arrived in South America, there were hundreds of different native languages it’s possible that many of these words were incorporated to the Spanish language of each particular country. Differences in Pronunciation The greatest difference one might hear between the Spanish spoken in Spain and the Spanish in Latin America is the pronunciation of the Z and C (before I or E). In Latin America, these two letters are pronounced as S, while in Spain you would hear a TH sound. For this reason, someone from Barcelona would pronounce the name of their hometown as Barthelona. Here’s an example: la taza es azul In Spain, it would sound like: la ta[th]a es a[th]ul In Latin America, you would hear: la ta[s]a es a[s]ul In some parts of Argentina and Uruguay, the double LL and Y sounds are pronounced like an english SH, while other Spanish speakers would pronounce it as a Y sound. Example: está lloviendo en la playa In Argentina, you would hear: está [sh]oviendo en la pla[sh]a Everywhere else: está [y]oviendo en la pla[y]a Besides the differences in specific letter sounds, there are also differences in the general way people speak. Some say that Argentinians have a “sing-song” accent, Colombian Spanish is the most neutral sounding, or that some countries drop an S at the end or in the middle of words. The more you are exposed to different accents, the easier they become to understand. Learn more Differences in Vocabulary Another one of the differences between Spanish in Latin American and Spain is the different words used for the same objects. You might be used to hearing a certain word for something and then be caught off guard while on vacation in Chile, for example, when you hear an avocado called palta when everywhere else it’s called aguacate. Or in Mexico, the call a swimming pool alberca, wheras everyone else calls it piscina. Here are some more examples: a pen is called bolígrafo or boli in Spain and a pluma or lapicera in Latin America a peach is melocotón in Spain and durazno in Latin America a car is coche in Spain and carro or auto in Latin America a cell phone in Spain is móvil and celular in Latin America the verb to drive is conducir in Spain and manejar in Latin America Ustedes vs Vosotros Spain is the only Spanish-speaking country where the pronoun vosotros and vosotras is used, giving Spaniards an extra ending to memorize for each tense. This is one of the key differences between the two languages. Vosotros is the plural form of the second person (you) and is used in a casual manner. In Spain, when addressing your group of friends you would use vosotros. Ustedes would be used only if you wanted to show formality. In Latin America, since vosotros doesn’t exist, they simply use ustedes in both formal and informal situations. Vos vs Tú Similar to Spain using vosotros, there is one pronoun used in Argentina, Paraguay and Uraguay – vos. Vos is used instead of tú. Past Tense The way that Spaniards and Latin Americans talk about the past includes differences as well. In Spain, it is common to talk about a completed action using the present perfect tense: Hoy he ido al trabajo (I have gone to work today). In Latin America, it is more common to use the simple past: Hoy fui al trabajo (I went to work today).

  37. I would find it useful to be able to select multiple items (eg, multiple videos) at a time in the Metadata Editor and Edit/Add values to them in bulk simultaneously. For example, to be able to select multiple items and add a Tag (or Person, Genre, etc.) to all of the items at the same time. Thanks for considering my request! PS - If this is something you might like to see implemented, be sure to "Like" this top/first post (as well as any subsequent posts in this thread that highlight particular aspects of what you are interested in) -- "Liking" the top/first post helps the Devs to know how much interest there is in a given Feature Request.
