I think I found the problem. I always tested with multi emby-servers. Seems if only one is available, there is a bug. I'll fix it soon...2 points

Yes, I have just discovered this . I tagged the folder and the album popped up, but the Artists page stayed blank. Then i tagged an album and then one of the tracks a sure enough the album pops up but with just the one track track. So Tagging is not really suitable for Music. I suspect for Music I will have to set up a separate folder my this user and put their music in it and then set up a separate music library for them just pointing to this folder. Then my music library can access both folders (Mine and theirs)1 point

Yes that would be the only option to have a playback/resume point for this audio media.1 point

Hi @Paulshelling -- Can you clarify the problem here please? People are returned in the search results of Emby app for Apple TV. Similarly tags do show up in search results as well. This is correct tags don't display for any items on their detail screen currently. Space is at a premium on this screen and it's something we can look to add in the future. That's correct people (and videos -- although if a video had a backdrop assigned it should display) don't support backgrounds currently. This is something we can add in the future. They should display as the same order as the web app. In my testing they match the webapp. Do they match for your data? This is a limitation of tvOS, more specifically TVML, which we use to render these screens. We can look and see if there are any additional options but there may not be without significant development (think custom). I hope this feedback helps!1 point

A quick update, first try installing experimental build on Shield wasn't successful. Afther updating E4K, Kodi locked up, needed to restart Shield. After the restart all artwork was gone, backgrounds, episode thumbs everything. DB repair didn't do anything. Hit play, again Kodi locked up. In my hurry to go back to previous E4K build and have everything up and running before the evening started I forgot to pull a log. Maybe I will try again tomorrow when I have less time pressure.1 point

The issue seem to have fixed it self afther rebooting windows. I'm going to test it on Shield and Fire TV soon.1 point

Yes, it does. In the audio player there is an icon right on the OSD. In the video player it is under the "cog" menu. However, it only works if you are not bitstreaming audio.1 point

New experimental version available. Please be careful, it includes lot's of code changes and can cause issues. TAKE A FULL KODI BACKUP IN CASE YOU MUST ROLL BACK!1 point

Hello Luke, Thanks for your reply. The only thing I start is the EmbyServer.exe file and then I close it. I finally uninstalled my windows keyboard driver and let it re-install after reboot and things seem back to normal for now. I will report back if this happen again.1 point

Hi, what's happening here is that sometimes there are cases where ffmpeg does not determine a bitrate. We'll be updating our ffmpeg build soon though and that may help with this.1 point

Got it! Thanks for educating me! I just forced some transcoding to occur and it looks like it is going with hardware for portions of it. When I looked at this a few days ago it wasn't working at all, but I think upgrading the drivers was the ticket. Okay I've decided. Okay after hours of researching Microsoft support of Linux filesystems, and Linux support of Microsoft filesystems, I have come to the conclusion that there will NEVER be cross compatibility with any degree of reliability. Microsoft hates all competitors and will never really "work" with them reliably. On Windows, if you want a reliable filesystem, format in NTFS. But if you read the linuxkernel.org site, kernel support for NTFS has severe limitations, severe performance penalties, and can easily corrupt the NTFS filesystem. Linux writing to NTFS "works" but don't be shocked when the NTFS filesystem gets damaged. On Linux, if you want a reliable filesystem, format in btrfs. But if you read Microsoft support sites, Windows support is read only. There have been some attempts to enable write to btrfs, but forget about reliability. Doesn't look like it will ever happen. Older filesystems, like ext3/ext4 in Linux, and DOS FAT32 and FAT64, there is "some" cross compatibility, but you can toss reliability and fault tolerance and recovery out the window. None of those were designed with fault prevention and recovery in mind. So, it's one or the other. Windows running Emby, or Linux running Emby. Both can't safely read/write the same filesystem holding Emby media libraries. I haven't tried Synology's Linux distro for NAS's yet, but I do love Linux, and I'm hopeful it is a good OS for a generic pc running as a NAS. I've hated Microsoft since the 80's when they stole OS/2 code co-developed with IBM and sold it as Windows. Bill Gates couldn't be trusted in college (he actually stole/reversed engineered other people's software and then SOLD IT in his name, read the book Hackers), and Microsoft has stolen everything they sell. Stole windows from IBM, Word from Word Perfect, Excel from Lotus 1-2-3, Access from Ashton Tate's dBase, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. Even their DOS memory manager stolen from QEMM. Even MS-DOS was stolen from Digital Research DR-DOS (remember that?). I'm ordering the above mini pc, and will install Synology OS on it. Really hoping it works well, better than windoze that is. Has the new Drive path already been added to Emby? If you have not made any changes yet you would shutdown Emby, move your media, manually update your database Path and Image columns. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/77285-changing-path-to-new-location/&do=findComment&comment=7851621 point

Best bet if it fits your ability is to keep everything off the internet that doesn't need to be there (management wise) and instead run a private VPN. This way if you need to access/manage your servers/NAS/Equipment outside of your LAN you can fire up the VPN connection, connect home and do what's needed without having all kinds of ports open on your router or using cloud software for management (not fond of this myself).1 point

The solution is written multiple times in the plugin configuration and even in the threat title: DVBViewer Media Server. You need this additional paid software! The standalone DVBViewer application won't work.1 point

Yes we should probably add that inheritance. Thanks for the feedback.1 point

Yeah, those are made by a community member. @puffytoes They are on the fourm. I'll try to find them. They are here:1 point

Thanks a lot for your comment. I definitely count myself to the people who will stick with Emby. Nothing that works and is good comes for free I really hope the principle that Emby is meant to be "my own" server will stay. (Meaning no accounts and memberships etc.)1 point
