The nice thing about 720 or 1080 over 4K for sporting events is you don't "see" your home team suck as bad when they lose. LOL2 points

Is there a reason you are still on 4.6.0.50 as the current release is 4.6.2.0?2 points

Hi, yes that's something we should add. Thanks for the feedback.2 points

Look on the positive: Emby hasn't stopped working on LG, its still working with newer server versions. Could be worse than just a wait for fixes or new stuff. Agree over a year is far too long wait, but the dev did have to contend with DTS being dropped on newer models and code around it whilst still doing the planned changes.2 points

I upgraded to the beta. I only had time this afternoon to do one test but it autoplayed correctly. I will need to do a bit more testing though to confirm if the issue is truly gone. In my test this afternoon I sped up the video 2x speed and positioned the progress bar 75% to the end (not enough time to let it play normally) which I believe caused it to function correctly prior to the beta update as well.1 point

im a bit late to the thread, in Anime is a bit different then normal shows, every season has different Metadata, different art covers and different special episodes, Bakemonogatari as an example: First Season: Bakemonogatari (2009) Nisemonogatari (2012) Nekomonogatari Black (2012) Second Season Monogatari Series Second Season (2013) Hanamonogatari (2014) Final Season Tsukimonogatari (2014) Owarimonogatari (2015) Koyomimonogatari (2016) Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu (2016) Kizumonogatari Part 2: Nekketsu (2016) Kizumonogatari Part 3: Reiketsu (2017) Owarimonogatari (Part 2) (2017) Zoku Owarimonogatari (2018) Off Season Orokamonogatari (TBA) Wazamonogatari (TBA) Nademonogatari (TBA) Musubimonogatari (TBA) Monster Season Shinobumonogatari (TBA) Yoimonogatari (TBA) Amarimonogatari (TBA) Ougimonogatari (TBA) Shinomonogatari (TBA) anime dont really use the Season 1 .. 2 ...3 etc, and in the story watch like in this example "Owarimonogatari 2" isnt the next season to watch after "Owarimonogatari" you have other stuff between them, using the tv show library you are forced to split every season is his own "Tv Show" loosing the correct watch line and having a lot of shows that in the end all fall under the "bakemonogatari" serie1 point

YouTube has made it quite clear that if you want to play their items you must use their ecosystem of players. For PC there exists methods to inject YouTube into the video player without compromise their interface. The YouTube specific buttons work. The YouTube interface depends on that. When playing on just a normal video player you lose the interactive display of clicking items. You can see they want you to click on stuff and subscribe and even buttons show on the screen you can click if this were played inside a YouTube interface. Since it is just playing as a video it loses everything YouTube about it. You cannot click buttons within a video when it is played on just any video player. It just won't work. YouTube wants that to work. That means YouTube wants to control the user experience entirely when you view their material. On the Roku it is impossible to stay within the Emby app to play YouTube video. You would exit the Emby app and launch into the YouTube app and play the trailer. But how do you get back to Emby after watching the trailer on YouTube? You do not. YouTube has no interest in that. This means it is likely illegal and against the terms of service of the YouTube platform to do this. Which means Emby cannot proceed. Apologies.1 point

Hi, With just a few missing covers I would just use the 3 dot menu on each collection to edit images. Then 3 dot on the Primary images with a Search for a New Image. https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44002196420-image-editing-and-image-types1 point

Indeed, this is getting ridiculous. Problems can arise and issues can block updates, but all communication has been either ''it's coming soon'' or ''LG is the issue'' for over a year. If you ask me, this is no communication at all but just stalling. Most other Emby platforms have had an update and on the LG side, all my other apps had monthly updates in the same period Emby is trying to get one out. All issues that arise on these forums ''should be fixed in the next update'', which still has to manifest itself. At this point I no longer believe any update will fix any issues, let alone in a timely manner. What will happen when the promised update introduces a bug? Will we have to wait 12+ months again? Roll back? This makes me feel I no longer feel I can trust that the LG platform gets proper support. I have been Emby Premiere subscriber for almost a year because I wanted to support the development, but I won't renew my subscription again. I just don't feel that supported on my platform of choice and no longer trust that my subscription fee is going towards the development of my platform.1 point

@UncleLeoTheDad - A fix is underway. Meanwhile, can you confirm that it's not failing when you either: Choose MP3 instead of AAC for audio? Choose MP4 instead of MKV as container? Thanks sw1 point

Hmmmm. I think I understand what might have happened. When the update went through, and Emby swept all my libraries reidentifying stuff, some of the items matched closely enough to movie titles that it automatched them with movies. I noticed this when I was looking at the .nfo's for the files that I posted in Q3 of my very first post. All the .nfo files for the scenes that I posted had information from movies, like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" for the scene just titled "Sarah". I turned off metadata scrapers, moved the same scene to a different folder so it would scan it again and generate a new .nfo, then compared the two. Same file, but the left is all metadata scrapers enabled, the right is all scrapers disabled: If it is viewing it as a movie, perhaps that is why it's leaking into the movie suggestions in the "More Like This" section? If that is the case, would it be better to just recategorize this particular library as "Home Movies & Photos" so it doesn't try to use any scrapers, thereby matching incorrectly?1 point

Interesting, I didn't realize that. I saw that there, and because of the spacing, it looked like it was specifically an option for my XXXtra library, which is a mixed content library, and not for ALL the libraries, so I didn't really pay much attention to it. My apologies, I stand corrected. Maybe putting a different title over it, like "General Options" or something similar, would help it stand out as a global setting better, so people don't assume it is specific to whatever their last listed library is?1 point

without a great amount of thought but.... to get emby to re read them - first i would zero out all the genres - as emby will add but not remove genres on a refresh so by using the api you can zero them all out first then do a refresh once you have corrected / removed the spurious ones from the song tags etc and should get what you want1 point

I'd shutdown Emby and fix the couple of Libraries that now are setup as Mixed content types. You can follow the directions here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/98712-how-to-play-entire-album/&do=findComment&comment=10307631 point

Okay, you were actually right. At this time we are converting to mp3 and playing that over http. We'll have to experiment with a higher quality conversion in a future beta cycle. It may be possible (I just did a quick test on my Ultra and it worked).1 point

For everyone having similar issues. Also @@Justy After setting up a local DNS server and directly pointing the DDNS address to the local ip it works. Before the IP was resolved to the public ip like it does when doing it from the outside world.1 point
