  1. I'm so glad that this is a known issue and that it's not just me. I was going insane trying to figure out why the time is so wildly off all the time, when my Emby server is accurate and the TV time is set correctly. It's very strange that Samsung can't seem to fix this. I mean, why not just expose the actual time set in the TV settings? It boggles the mind. Also.... While this might not be a perfect solution (for the reason that FrostByte mentioned), I do think it's a LOT better option than how it's working right now....

  2. The problems of HEVC streaming that remux requires would end and we could have support for MKV HEVC direct streaming in the native Apple TV player.

  3. Dolby Vision as a standard is made complex with the use of profiles. Most TV's are only going to be able to process 'profile 4' DV files - because they are what the streaming companies use (by design and adhering to the DV specification). UHD Blu-Ray's on the other hand, use 'profile 6 or 7' - again by design and in keeping to the DV specification. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that a TV will natively play anything beyond 'profile 4'. To get profile 6/7 to play, you need an external player - such as a Shield or UHD Blu-Ray player with this DV profile streaming capability. The best way to check if it can be played is to use Mediainfo - In the Video section under HDR - it will tell you the DV profile. dvhe.04.06 = profile 4 dvhe.07.06 = profile 7 The LG can natively play DV just fine (from emby or USB) - as long as it's profile 4 - you can download LG Demo's to prove this but most UHD Rips are going to be profile 6 or 7...

  5. I was going to have a look at this again when the chromaprint thumb printing algorithm that was added to the Emby 4.6 beta (ffmpeg inbuilt muxer) is released. At the moment the plugin needs to ship with the command line tool for multiple platforms to extract the chromaprint but when Emby 4.6 is released the plugin can use the shipped ffmpeg to generate the audio thumb prints. I have no idea when the 4.6 beta will ship, its been months and months, no idea what the time frame for that is, I think that is why the plugin lost of lot of momentum. Also there will be shows that this just does not work for, some it will work great with and others it is just going to flop on.

  6. I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise

  7. Something is not right here as all you should need to do is restore %appdata%/roaming/ember-server as that contains everything unless you have applied custom paths for Cache/Metadata/Transcoding.

  8. ok at the beginning I would like to thank everyone for their time and for solving the problem. After adding the Letsencrypt certificate, I can play live tv again via emby via WAN also thanks a lot

  9. Can you get it to crash by copying files around outside of emby ? Emby itself is not causing the crash per-say, emby just uses windows standard I/O calls - so I suspect it's hardware or perhaps network card buffer related as if a software disable/re-enable of the hardware does not re-initialise the driver/tcp-ip stack, then you can eliminate all software/drivers.

  12. New experimental version available (page 1 of this thread). Please be aware, this version is poorly tested. I'm on a business trip the next 8 days what's why I released it today. Mostly the dynamic library nodes are rewritten. By default only essential information are loaded. You can add additional info in the plugin config menu. As more you add, as slower it gets. Currently, changes in dynamic library parameters (plugin config menu) requires a Kodi restart to apply. Static library nodes are also redesigned. (I think that's the final approach).

  14. @Luke @SamES @Happy2Play Feature request: Convert Dual Layer to Single layer on the fly (Please consider than some people like me disable transcoding to force people to watch the 4K contetnt without transcoing or downgrade on image resolution or making it not HDR, so please make this feature as allow or disable as a single part and not as part of a transcoding process) for tv doesn't support like said before example LG C9 support at this moment only single layer (but looks like the app from lg store doesn't support also single layer this give some green bizarre image) so hoping this will be fixed on the next app release, since single layer is acceptable in USB and by Plex (So please consider looking that issue), the feature will be making dual layer to an single layer dolby vision (mp4 or mkv) if required by the app (TV,Android Box, Mobile,Apple TV etc...) please consider this issue you can get the info about my testes done before. in those two post there are Dual Layer & Single Layer info about movies in MP4 and the latest one post is mp4 single layer DoVision HDR10 works fine mkv mp4 but still massive dolby vision improvement in cross platform TV/ APP/ etc.. Kind regards

  16. Not that we know of no. The limitation appears to be getting TrueHD Audio out of the TV via e-arc. To the best of my knowledge, the only client that plays True-HD/DTS-X is the Nvidia Shield when plugged directly into an AV Receiver - ie bypassing e-arc and using the Receiver to just pass the Video to the TV.

  17. Since you have a grouped virtual/real issue, the real question is why is Emby not cleaning this up with a Library Scan? So in your case it is not a cache issue it is a database issue as one entry has info and the other does not. You could try doing a Refresh on the Missing item and then doing a Library scan to see if it corrects the issue. But you may have to remove the entire series, do a library scan to clean out the database, then re-add the series.

  18. One other thing to check is if you enter the episode via Seasons View does it show multi-version or split version apart option near media info section? If you select Edit metadata on Next up and Season View do they show the same info? I just added the episode on test machine and got overview, so it is a cache issue if a Refresh does not provide a overview for you I am guessing.

  21. Yes, I can see now that it is a USER option and a per device option. I made the change and deleted all of the devices and restarted them all. The Banner went off on the TV's but was present on the 2 phones. Perfect. Thank You. That is one thing that has to be done is the removal of the devices and then a restart.

  22. Luke, A few days ago you told me it was already under review by LG. But how long are they going to take to launch it? I don't understand anything.... How many days ago did you upload the version for review? Or have they denied it again? I've seen 2 hbo versions released since you said it was already in review. Greetings and cheers
