Yeah I can now retrieve and create ~1k movies as ListItems from my Emby server within ~5 seconds. It then takes another ~5 seconds to add them to the Kodi library.

When setting up a new user I think it would be great if I could copy an existing user. Even better if you could copy certain aspects of a user like views , library access , parental settings

Yes Emby plans to update the TVDB plugin to allow users to utilize their v4 pin. But I don't believe there is any real planned date for this as TVDB pushed their legacy api version shutdowns back till Oct 2021. Ideally the sooner a plugin is made available and users subscribe to v4, the sooner users can actually provide feedback. Without actually using v4 api it is impossible to know if anything is better. So if there are TVDB subscription users, then I would make a v4 TVDB plugin feature request.

@MagicDoubleM @lundblad @moha85 I still can't guarantee a custom icon feature will work out, but in researching things today I came across a tool that might make it feasible for both me to support and users to use. This tool lets anyone easily convert one or more SVGs into a font format Iconic already supports. It also automatically generates the CSS needed to enable the icon previews on the configuration page. So, theoretically, users could search the web for SVGs they like or create their own, generate a font with the tool linked above (or another like it), and put the resulting files somewhere Iconic can find and load. The custom font icons would be resizable and colorable just like the built in icons, and they would be compatible with the existing icon handling code on the backend. Again, their might be some insurmountable obstacle here I'm not seeing yet, but this is the type of solution I was looking for.

One thing that I would like to see implemented is the abilty to display lyrics in all of the apps. For those of us who have libraries with lyrics embedded in the actual files, it would be trivial. Simply scrape the lyrics from the lyrics tag and display them. As far as scraping from online lyrics databases, I don't see that working very well as just about every app that I have seen use it either doesn't get the correct lyrics or they are truncated with an add for the website.

It would be useful if the server (or perhaps clients) could cache most (if not all) content images (posters, backdrops, logos, etc) for movies, TV series and seasons. This would mainly be of benefit when a portion of someone's content is offline but the users would still like to view the content to know what exists. I think caching on the server would be preferable, then all clients could make use of the same cached images. if you think this would be a useful feature, please click the "Like This" button on this post.

If you go to an individual Movie or show, and click on Edit subtitles, there is an option to return only Forced subtitles. This option is not available in subtitle configuration in the Library section. Would be great if this could be added there, so only download forced subtitles for shows/movies. Or better would be to add it as an option of "Forced subtitles for language matching audio language". Seems most of this functionality is already in place, just needs to be linked up. If it helps, I would like to offer a bounty on this option. I can personally add $100 to bounty for it.

Hi, Would be great the possibility to combine Latest Media Hubs per type of Media. for Example If I have 2 libraries for movies: Movies Movies 4K To be able to see both in the same "hub" as "Latest added Movies"

Hi, I'm not sure when this started, but I've noticed TV shows ain't playing in the correct order. For example: Say I'm watching TV show S01E04, the next to play you would expect S01E05. But it's not, it will play a random episode. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this at all?

Agreed, I would prefer this too. As well as more options to show on the home page with ability to move the different hubs around.

Wow, most interesting. This is BS from Roku putting folks on Beta without informing them. I was able to follow the steps and downgraded to 9.4.0 Build 4200-46 and Emby app on my Roku works again. Now when it auto updates again, at least know how to "fix it" Do not see any Release Vs Beta selection for the Firmware/Software. So happy, Thank you.

@ginjaninjamerge with existing Roku 10 Firmware update issue. This update broke Emby as I guess we knew nothing about it.

TBH it's too big to do in one go. I'm currently working on doing it properly for video data so I'm extending InfoTagVideo with all the custom setters and a setInfo() method. Furthermore I'm adding an optional videoInfo parameter to the ListItem constructor. Once that's working I'll look into a combined info dictionary in ListItem. And once that's working I'll have to repeat the first step for music, picture and game data. If I do everything at once it will be a huge mess. Concerning properties it might be difficult to integrate those into the generic info dict because it would result in any "wrong" key to be added as a property without any warning in the logs. So if you would use "directors" instead of "director" you would end up with a ListItem property named "directors" and the "director" data of InfoTagVideo would be empty. A possibility might be to allow a "properties" key in the info dict to avoid this.

Well that is another layer being added/overlayed on the existing layer as the progress bar covers the unmodified box. Will do some testing shortly.

They must have dropped support for some of the interfaces we use. They are supposed to give us deprecation notices when this occurs. But maybe we missed them or they never sent them. They are also supposed to alert us during Static Analysis that problems like this such as interfaces that were deprecated are still in the code or functions were deprecated. The RALE (Roku advanced layout editor) should also give clues when deprecated components are still in use that are abandoned in firmware updates. But we might have missed something. That is possible. It is also possible this is something they broke and not something we should have done. I will try to manually update my devices later today and see if any of them get offered the 10.x firmware. I am curious why there are crashes.

Have acquired a few more, like the LOTR and Hobbit sets, Tenet, Top Gun, War of the Worlds, Interstellar, Back to the Future set, 1917... Also Spartacus, which looks good but I gave up on as I just couldn't stand the 1960 'music', for want of a better term.

Performance hint: Increase in plugin option -> sync: Paging max items. I use 100 Increase in plugin option -> sync: Paging download threads. I use 30 The default values are ridiculously low. I'll change the default values by next version

We apologize for the issue. We are aware of the reports of crashing and once we have it narrowed down can give a solution. Please stay tuned. We will have something soon and once again apologies you have to suffer this problem. We didn't do this intentionally but it was our fault (ANY time there is a crash it is our fault even if it isn't). You can feel free to throw some heat our way. This isn't something we do often.

In every folder you want to be ignored just create an empty .ignore file this let emby know to ignore everything inside this folder and sub folders
