A checkbox in the server settings somewhere to hide the domain and IP address in log files so they can be uploaded for troubleshooting without needing to be edited.

It would be useful if onedrive folders can be added as a source all my pictures are backed up to onedrive so it would be useful if they can be added to the library. Thank you

Hi, I'm using emby premium on the Xbox. Everything plays and works as expected, but the app doesn't close? If I press back, it just takes me back through the sign in pages and the app refused to close. To get back to the Xbox one dashboard, I have to restart the Xbox. At first I thought it was a one off, but it happens every time. I'm I missing something? Thanks

I've poked the help links a few times (appreciate those!), but they go to obsolete pages. Example, the convert dialog in a video item, it goes to: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Sync that is basically empty and says "Please see our new Knowledge Base: Sync", which goes to: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001162174-sync I've seen the same pattern (wiki to articles) elsewhere.

The timing is about right for the cert to expire. Click on the "Not Secure" tag (or the lock) on the browser address bar, then on "Certificate" to view it. The validity date will be in that window. LetsEncrypt certs are good for 90 days. Run certbot again to renew the cert then follow the same steps above that you used the last time.

I did did.figure it how to setup pluto & with doing it through the docker. From what I read there does appear to be issues with pluto. I'm only liking a few channels from it so thinking it's not worth it. I know you mentioned there is a big live tv update coming, will that include the ability to hide channels. Overall liking having live tv & will tinker more. I have a month with channels for free to see if I'm going to keep it but probably will. Thank you again for your help carlo.

Thank you! I finally got the EPG on my Emby Server with the V5 Addon and Software. The last bug I fixed that caused nothing to load was the NextPVR base url where there was a / at the end, which apparently caused it to not recognize the url. I now have only one problem: It does not load a stream. If I click on one of the channels, sometimes after a few seconds the black screen of the player appears but either way it loads infinitely long.

You can record with either. I generally record with Channels DVR if that is my source and then run the recording through MCEBuddy dropping it into the same folder that Emby recordings get dumped into by MCEBuddy. In either case I convert to HEVC after stripping commercials. If you don't want to use MCEBuddy you can record with Channels DVR and point Emby to those recordings in the Library or you can record with Emby. I haven't noticed much of a difference at all in PQ so you can record with either one you want.

I don't have CDVR in front of me but in the BETA they have support for some local channels (not all) but you may get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX this way. You have to enable it. If you're not already running their beta you can click/hold the check for update button and that will check for beta versions. With that said if you really want locals and lots of them you want to add https://www.locast.org/ to CDVR (which will funnel right through to Emby) but that will cost you $5/month "donation" fee. TVEverywhere is mostly all the national network channels (but you may get a few locals) Locast is all your local channels Together it's a lot of channels

I can't answer about the ServerWMC software but we'll do our best to keep the plugin compatible.

I have fixed this, thanks for pointing it out, I also added a couple more scrapers. If you can run this in a broswer with the plugin config on one tab and your page on another, you can turn them on / off as you look for the actors. Try not to use scrapers that are not valid for a particular search. So don't use the marvel cinema on for stuff thats not marvel etc. That way we reduce hits on their sites. Re-uploaded to first post, I think this may be near to being a beta now

Mein Schulenglisch liegt schon über 40 Jahre zurück(bin 61)......würde das System gerne richtig kennenlernen,dann gäbe es solche Fragen von mir gar nicht.

The issue didn't came-up again for now. I was change 4K content audio from 7.1 TrueHD to 5.1 AC, and it's running pretty good for now. Today I will try to check again and update with more information.

Mostly because I don't have the time to learn how to make a plugin for emby, so I did it with python/docker because I know those better. One of the devs reached out to ask if it was OK to use this idea built into the server or as a plugin and I said YES. It would be wonderful to have this built in, rather than as a sidecar. The current setup is hacky, but it was a fun weekend project so that was OK for me. It's mostly meant as a proof of concept for this sync method.

Hi, I have boought myself a XBOX One S, as this console is capable of DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. I have a new Denon AVR-2500H as AVR with Atmos and DTS:X capability. In the XBOX settings, I have enabled 4K and Bitstream as audio-format (I have also activated Dolby Atmos for Home Theater). I play now my test movie: Star Wars Episode VII with Atmos as aduio. I play this with the Emby app, but the server needs to transcode as video and audio codec is not supported. I am out of ideas why this is happening, I don't see a configuration issue as I have enabled HDR, 4K and bitstream everywhere. Is this an Emby bug? Currently the newest 4K movies are not watchable for me ... Logfile attached

@Luke You just need to allow the audio to transcode independently of the video to get 4k to work. I've been asking for this for more than a year. I know you have a new "merged" app for Windows and Xbox, but can't you at least just add a fix to separate out the audio and video transcodes so we can watch 4k on the xbox?

Emby is all in on this now and moving forward. Don't know how much more we can say except, just wait and see what it can do for you on your system. How many simultaneous tone mapped transcodes you NEED SIMULTANIOUSLY will play into the hardware needed or what strategy is best for you (transcode vs 1080 versions). Everyone has different needs, but I think it's safe to say for "casual use" Emby should have something that will work for those with proper hardware. For someone like myself who only shares with immediate family (inside and outside home) this solution should hopefully work well but I wouldn't expect it to work shared to a half dozen people all in need of tone mapped transcoding at the same time.

Hello, I have bad experience with playing 4K movies on my new Xbox series X (ethernet connected). video is sluttered, transcode playing only audio is transcoded too, whereas my receiver/TV are compatible with the codec. the same movie is well played on my Surface book connected with Wifi is there any plans to upgrade /optimize this app for the Xbox SX? I tried this and had the same issue. Unfortunately unlike rjwill there was no way to get out of the app. Pressing the home button would show an overlay but the xbox guide doesn't display on the left side of the screen and up/down/etc. controls still are focused in Emby. Doing a long press of the home button to at least try power off the xbox displays the menu but focus is still inside Emby so you can't press Turn Off. The only way to exit the app was to hard restart the Xbox. Even using the remote control app to turn off the Xbox didn't work (it would "turn off" but fail to actually shut down and eventually do a hard reset itself). If you didn't see this behaviour in testing the one difference may be that I paused/played a few times and the OSD may have gotten focus.

I would really like a Webhook trigger for "Content Added". I currently have to keep my Plex server up and running for Tautulli integration so that I can send a webhook announcement through integromat for a facebook group post when new content is added. Tautulli has the option to delay the hook for 3-4 minutes while the library scan happens, this is especially useful when adding multiple episodes or seasons and works for TV as follows 1 Episode added, it sends the trakt.tv link and image for just that episodes. Multiple Episodes in 1 Season gets added, it sends the trakt.tv link for that season and the cover for that season Multiple episodes+multiple seasons get added, it sends the trakt.tv link for the Show For movies, it will just post each individual movie as a single post. In both instances it posts "<insert content here> added to <insert library here>" Along with the accompanying link Tautulli also has the ability to limit these to when content is added to only specific Libraries. This type of Webhook would be ideal for me so I can let my family know when their content has been added in a less annoying way than a push notification or E-Mail. I'm also not suggesting that Emby look for the trakt.tv link either, the TVDB or IMDB links would work just as well, and presumably Emby gets or at least CAN get that information when it retrieves the metadata.

Hi, i searched for a similiar topic and found the "Onedrive as source", but since its just One Drive, i made a new topic. It would be very cool if you could add Network Storage, especially Google Drive, as a Source we can pick, while creating a new library. Since i have unlimited Storage on Google Drive this would be very helpful.

Unfortunately, Pass-through/Bit-streaming audio doesn't work/is not supported by Microsoft for 3rd party apps. (Emby, Kodi, VLC, Plex, etc...) This is a limitation of the XB1, not Emby.
