It would be useful if the server (or perhaps clients) could cache most (if not all) content images (posters, backdrops, logos, etc) for movies, TV series and seasons. This would mainly be of benefit when a portion of someone's content is offline but the users would still like to view the content to know what exists. I think caching on the server would be preferable, then all clients could make use of the same cached images. if you think this would be a useful feature, please click the "Like This" button on this post.2 points

Release notes are her: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/releases I have no write permissions on the E4K status thread. I wrote Luke a PM that he can update the thread. "fast playback method", you mean like in 5.X? No, and 4.X will never get that. This is not just a code update, the 5.x method requires fundamental changes in DB and player code. Actually, 5.X is the 4.X with those changes. All bugfixes in 5.x are added in 4.x as long as it's possible. Some "fixes" are only available in 5.x. Actually unique 5.x "fixes" are not fixes, the bugs just not affecting 5.x due to complete different approach. 4.x is constantly manipulating playlist and Kodi related stuff. Also the player is actually faking things. If Kodi starts a video in 4.x, it's not just calling the URL of local websocket (and redirected to embyserver). The local webserver returns another PluginTriggerEvent. This event triggers the playercode, the playercode manipulates the playlist (deletes the current playlist item, injects a new playlistitem with the correct URL to the emby server) and starts the Kodi player via "resolveurl" command. The "resolveurl" is also a great source of issues. I spent hours fixing that part and it just become a little bit better/more reliable. As a side effect, playlist items are not labelled correctly with this updated code. Therefore it's just available in dev-mode in 4.x. I could go on, but I think you got a impression how 4.x works and it's totally different than 5.x. 5.x leaves those parts up to Kodi as it should be. As a matter of fact some bugs are just not there.2 points

Its the "match/switch frame rate" option in the Emby android client on the shield that does this. It is probably not set on in Emby on the mibox so if you don't want that black screen lag you need to unset that option in Emby on the shield.2 points

-= PLEASE UP VOTE & PROMOTE THIS REQUEST IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS FEATURE =- DO THIS BY CLICKING THE "LIKE" BUTTON ON THIS POST REQUEST: Properly pool multiple M3u IPTV sources, so when adding more than one with the exact same M3u emby treats them as one source with however many "Concurrent Streams" you set for each. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63725-multiple-iptv-tuners-double-channels/?p=636718 https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/59607-duplicate-channels-one-tuner/?p=607031 https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/57420-multiple-identical-m3u-tuners-without-duplicate-channels/?p=560949 Basically once M3u #1 has used all 5 of its tuners, I then need to start using the login info that is within M3u #2... once those 5 tuners are used (now all 10 tuners), then emby issues "no tuners available". This is how emby treats HDhomeruns today, so it can't be to difficult. @@snodrog742 @@manolodf @@robrhedrick @@cayars1 point

Request No. 1: Implement Metascore rating for movies, from Metacritic.com, in Emby. OMDb api provides this information. Request No. 2: Also, fix an option in settings to enable or disable a ratings source according to the user's choice.1 point

Hello, I noticed that the filters have changed would it be possible to put a multiple selection as before. For example for the year of release of the film could have to choose several. We see on the screen that one part to a single selection and the other a multiple selection. Maybe there is a reason for this change? Best regards1 point

On that line I would rather the length of what's already there is expanded. It's already chopping off what I have1 point

I confirm the response from vdatanet, the MPV player does not respond to the Menu button and it does not reliably skip forward or back. For example, when pressing skip forward on the remote, the LED light on the Apple TV flashes but the Emby app and MPV do not respond.1 point

So, a final few words on this thread... All is well and so much better than Plex. I've set up a monthly subscription to Emby Premiere. My friends are saying it's easier and quicker to access, log in and play videos. I am very happy and can recommend anyone who's thinking of jumping ship from Plex to just do it. I have questions on the API and other little tweaks but I'll start new threads for those... ...so for now... cheers and happy Emby'ing! Paully1 point

Perhaps you had installed the application already, but you had no shortcut installed. So when you tried installing a new version it didn't work (as Frostbyte said you need to uninstall older versions otherwise the installation wont start) Next time try going into Apps -> Settings and see if it appears there.1 point

Will it still turn on Debug though? Does having debug on all the time have any side effects?1 point

Hi. This is not related to Emby at all. It is your display device changing modes - which on most displays does take a couple of seconds. I don't think the Mi supports display mode switching which is why you never saw it before.1 point

Hi. There are actually three options but the first one you listed - Remember last user - which is also the default, will do exactly what you want. You can switch servers from your user menu at the top and it will go directly in to the last user on each server.1 point

Or just display it without any need for options, for consistency.1 point

But not the ATV app.1 point

Not yet, I wanna fix the artwork cache as well and perform more tests. I think I'll update next weekend.1 point

Well letting a VM engineer in your house was your first mistake There's quite a few of us in here with VM, so shout if you have any more questions. My SuperHub3 is in modem-only mode. Do you remember what mode yours was in before the "engineer" arrived? Probably left it in normal router mode, as PenkethBoy said. If I remember correctly, to connect to the SuperHub3 it is 192.168.0.1, or if in modem-only mode, its 192.168.100.1.1 point

2. IP Auflösung nach extern ist wie gelöst? Feste IP oder DynDNS? 3. SSN mittels eigenem Zertifikat und eigener Adresse? 4.

I found a proper solution to avoid two server queries, additionally I improved the "old" sync code. Maybe it's now even faster before Kodi Flags will be also supported in the next release.1 point

There is a 5000 user community on Reddit where every thread is piracy using Emby to share copyrighted media: Emby, you need to ban all of those shares.1 point

Maybe the Playback Reporting plugin and enable New Media Report. Then this report will show New media added since the last time the task was run. So change task from daily to say weekly so users will get a report of anything added in said timeframe. Still need the other services to deliver said notifications. This plugin runs its own database so it only looks at media added after its installation.1 point

and data update for "rating only" would be great. i would love to let update my rating for my library atleast once a month. but it scrapes other data too1 point

Thanks yaggier, you helped me straighten out my guide. Somehow, about half of my channel icons got screwed up and I couldn't figure how to fix them. Your method worked like a charm, using schedules direct.1 point

Correct. It would be very unusual for people to resume a song where they last left it.0 points
