Currently version 0.1, it works but its rough. It's meant to be run by an emby server owner, as it requires a server api key. It essentially reads the room leader's location, jumps room members to 10-ish seconds ahead of the room leader, and finally unpauses roughly in sync. Tested clients: iOS, Android, Amazon Fire devices, and the web player. Also working, but only as a stream or room leader, not as a follower: Chromecast and Roku. (Supposedly these devices may work as a following player if the server is on the same local network as the player, but I have not tested this) If any client falls out of sync/halts playback, it resyncs immediately. You must log out of Emby Sync, or "leave room" to stop syncing. Sessions offline for more than 10 minutes will automatically stop syncing. To force a resync, rewind a bit on the out of sync follower. Emby clients only update the server with status info every second or so, so sync is only possible within a couple seconds in either direction. (Close enough for watching with friends online for sure!) To try it out: Easiest is to just fire up the container and point your browser at http://<containerhost>:5000 and log in using your Emby Connect username. (The Emby password is not stored, it is used against the emby API for auth only) Sorry, no local only emby accounts or emby email as logins right now. Uses the Server Configuration Backup plugin and only restore Users and Userdata. Otherwise you will have to copy your existing databases to maintain the userdata.

Be able to create playlist based on a certain criteria, like genre and or year, in order to create a dynamic playlist that it refreshes automatically when new content is added. This way you can for example, create a tv comedy playlist from the 90's, or a new sci-fi Movies playlist. Some other criteria for rules could be the rating, watched/unwantched, score, tags, language, audio codec, etc The possibilities could be endless

When setting up a new user I think it would be great if I could copy an existing user. Even better if you could copy certain aspects of a user like views , library access , parental settings

Similar to this old post, I'm suggesting a tab that would be titled Watchlist and could be placed in between Suggestions and Favorites. The functionality would pretty much be a copy of Favorites, just with a + symbol added next to the heart and other symbols that let you favorite a movie etc. The previous post had mentioned extra functionality such as automatically removing a movie from Watchlist after it has been watched. This would be nice, but is unnecessary because after watching a movie you can simply click the + symbol a second time to remove it from Watchlist. I would imagine this would be very easy to implement as a rebranded copy of Favorites. Adding other features could come later. Edit: added link to old post

Does a lyrics plugin exist for Emby? Something to show the lyrics of a song while being played. It doesnt show in the Plugins catalog, so I assume one doesn't exist?

Maybe there could be an option to show only unwatched media in the "Because you watched..." and "Because you liked..." sections of the Suggestions Tab? Or is there already? Anyway, I'm using the web client via Firefox on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine...

I have a lot mixed content folders containing personal photos and video, e.g. from a holidays trip. Usually they are ordered by Date. When I view the photos a video is coming up right between them, then only a small thumbnail is displayed instead of starting playing the video. To watch that video I have to close image view first an then scroll to to video in the folder view and start it separately. After finishing the video I have to do the same to continue with the photos.

It would be cool to allow Emby server users to comment what they think about a media piece. This could be shown on the top portion of a media info's page. Perhaps right under description, to encourage more user engagement.

To gauge interest... What if you had the ability to "Forget" a series for the purposes of Next Up display. That is, it would no longer show in Next Up - unless you watched another episode. Sometimes you maybe watch a series for a while and, even though there is more of it or more is made later, maybe it isn't as good as the earlier seasons or maybe you just don't have time for it anymore. So you'd like it to quit showing up in your Next Up list so it is less cluttered and you can focus on the series you are actually watching now. If you start watching it again, the "forget" would be forgotten and it would start to show up in Next Up again.

Hi. Make sure that, when you updated, Windows didn't add any new rules to your firewall that could be blocking access. Also confirm that the IP address you are using is still the correct one. Please let us know how it goes.

I use a VPN on all my computers in order to gain a bit of anonymity online so that's the reason. This was just an experiment from my part while I'm waiting for the "static ip addon" I mentioned earlier. But I had missed the CF port range when I made the post so I'll just have to wait. In the meantime I just shut off the VPN if I need to access my Emby server remotely. Thanks

I friends, I tryed also to restore and after try to unlock again the app but same behaviour :-( so hoping this money will help the emby team I bought the unlock licenze from amazon. After that now the play function has been re activated. Bye gianni

Is there a way to set a simultaneous connection limit for each user. I share my server with family and a few friends and sometimes I see a couple with 2 or more active streams from different clients under their user and I would like to limit this to 1 connection per user for them.
