  1. Just giving this a bit of a bump as it's been a year. With 4K, HDR and Atmos now much more popular in the industry, I think the lack of these tags for each media item is now well overdue and should be shown alongside the rating, resolution, audio and channels. Stats for nerds should show this info as well.

  2. Unless I'm being a bit blind (highly possible!), I'd love a way to hide a couple of the top green navigation items without hacking it in myself. For example, in Movies I don't want the 'Trailers' item to appear for any profile and for TV I don't need the 'Upcoming' nav link. Obviously not a major issue but thought it would be a nice thing to have, perhaps allowing them to be re-ordered like the home page items but again just a nice extra,

  3. Request that Emby server store Dolby Vision (including profile), Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HDR10+ (smpte2094) and HLG for appropriate video in the db and use it for display in the media info and track selection sections of movie/episode details screen. This information once in the db can then also be used in numerous other areas like: Mediainfo Cover Art, Stats for Nerds, Distinguishing different DV profiles for hardware support and tone mapping Example Mediainfo app display of HDR10+ ffmpeg patch for HDR10+ https://patchwork.ffmpeg.org/patch/11491/ Related requested that may require DV profile information in order to prevent unneeded TM

  4. It would be very helpful if the clock can be displayed when you fast forward/rewind or paused.

  5. Heya, I'd like to suggest a feature to users to bind TV Source per user account. If i have multiple M3U URLs, for different kind of channels, I could bind access to specific M3U Url in the user directly. That would put some ease of mind when channels gets updated/added/removed, instead of using Tags and Parental stuff for every channel. I have M3U URLs setup for different kind of channels, One M3U url for Swedish channels, 1 M3U URL for Sports, 1M3U URL for XXX and so on.. Would be really sweet to have this feature.

  6. But that seems more like a bug, unless you were transcoding from a 8K film or so? I guess you're probably right. And additionally it'd not drive me to bankruptcy, even if it wears out. I think I heard of electron migration or something like that? I was a terrible student at physics , but someone once told me something like that. But AFAIR that is something completely different from the wearing off of a NAND cell. If I remember correctly that will not happen until I will bring the thing to a tec museum in a decade or two.. But dear physicists, bash me if that was rubbish. I never heard that more or less intensive use of RAM had any effect on its life expectancy. Yea, I'm kinda in the Scrooge McDuck mode actually . So I should really stop worrying about my m.2 drives wear off when I just bought a totally overpowered board for the actual use...

  7. In Android Mobile, sorting all movies by anything other than title changes the width of the container by just enough that only 2 columns are displayed with a whole bunch of empty space on the right. Whenever the alphabetical letters are displayed, this does not happen. Probably just a lack of tolerance, needs a few extra pixels of breathing room. This doesn't happen on the web app, where the width of posters is fluid/responsive.

  8. Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. They'll fix it.

  9. No, we will look into it. Thanks.

  10. That is the coded limit built into each app. So the absolute max bitrate would be 120Mbps so your 139Mbps example will always be transcoded. But looking at documentation I would say the player shouldn't exceed 60Mbps depending on version. http://webostv.developer.lge.com/discover/specifications/supported-media-formats/webos-45/

  13. Understood. Why don't you write this up and submit it in the Feature Request section of the website. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/98-feature-requests/

  14. Yes the Reports plugin Activity Report would appear to using UTC instead of specific timezone offset. As you can see the Dashboard is using correct offset and not the plugin.

  15. You can adjust channels already using the TAG feature. This knowledge base article covers the basics of how to do this: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001921236-how-to-hide-specific-tv-channels-edit-parental-rating-or-set-tags

  16. The problem is, that the nfo file is XML and just adding a <br> into it means, that you are starting a new tag br. If you are using a tool for creating the nfo file (I'm using EMM), this will write proper code into the text: &lt;br&gt; why is described here (in german, but you will get it) for example. 17. Boolean Logic at it's heart is the fact a value is true or false compared to something using boolean operators such as "AND", "OR", and "NOT". The commands like "if", "then", "else", "case", etc are know as conditional statements which can optionally use boolean operators.

  20. So, after some more research, I found two issues contributing to this. First, both the server and the Shield are on internal 192.168.1.x addresses and are, as I stated in the original post, on the same switch and network. However, I needed to open up the emby-server ports on an additional zone in the firewall settings in Fedora. This made the internal server page accessible locally (I hadn't realized that it was inaccessible previously). Apparently, I only had them open for traffic coming in from outside. The other thing I found is that, when logging in through Emby Connect, it routes my traffic out to Emby's server and then back in to my server. So, even though both devices are on the same internal network, having Emby Connect in between as a convenient sign-on was making all of the traffic come back in from outside, so I was subject to my outside video bitrate cap. Manually typing in the server's local IP address on my Shield suddenly made both devices understand that the Shield is, in fact, on the local network. All is well, now.

  24. Any chance the ability to use PageUp/PageDown for guide navigation and numerical input for TV channels will make it into Emby Theater anytime soon? I'm really itching to ditch Win 8.1 / WMC but not being able to use channel numbers is a big issue for my family (the kids know their favorites by heart and like being able to just press (or say with Alexa) the number and it plays.

  27. I still have this in a couple of libraries. I can make it come and go by filtering different genres, but that's not fine enough for me to be able to identify which items give the problem. I'm presuming that images of a particular aspect ratio cause a calculation to round differently so they no longer fit the assigned space. Paul
