Just been checking up on a few failures re lookup to The AudioDb for Artists And their homepage has this message "NOTICE 15th July 2020: TADB is back online. Please sign up again if you were a member before.Non Patreon supporter API keys have been disabled to keep the site sustainable." I'm wondering if the API key of Emby is now invalid and thats why i am getting failures with lookups (the artists do exist and have a valid MBz ID as i checked that first)

I know Emby will play nice and will notice the tuner in use by the other guys and go to one unassigned. I cannot speak for the other guys playing nice though with servers from our side and how they assign tuners. You would have to see if their logic also plays nice. If it does not they have some work to do to catch up.

What I'm requesting is a new reorganization of the plugin catalog to make things easier to find. I dislike the horizontal row of icons that go "off screen" in this area. What I'd prefer is a drop down at the top of the page with these choices: Top Plugins Channels General Live TV Metadata Notifications Reporting Subtitles Sync ALL Once you select ALL or a category then you would get a grid style page of plugins that would look like the MY PLUGINS page. Order them alphabetically even if using ALL. This would make finding plugins so much easier! Thanks for the consideration.

The application should not crash in the absence of metadata. It should just be empty. We have identified the likely cause of the issue. It was related to the director being empty/null. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Just brought up Roku Beta 4.0.7 and the Collections Display of the detail is back to the grid view. Thank you and the personnel who fix it

I suggested in a totally different thread a bit ago about possibly adding Discogs as a meta fetcher... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79280-duplicate-music-artists-entries-how-to-get-rid-of-them/ That thread has had a few +1 reply posts. As such i figured adding it to the feature requests was the proper way to gauge interest. If you have used MP3tag you should be familiar with Discogs. Its a GREAT alternative to Musicbrainz.

This is not an exhaustive list, and more would be welcome, but this info is currently spread over multiple threads, and well, consolidation is good. The buttons that are obvious and which work as labeled will not be covered, unless a secret tweak is discovered that makes them more usable. If anyone has useful command sequences, please add them. My guess is the same as it originally was - the IP address being reported to the app was incorrect and re-booting the server caused it to re-query and fix itself. I'll have to look into making the app handle this situation better. It should not have been trying to auto-connect to your server.

No. That is incorrect. The Shield should be able to do that - even with True HD tracks. Realize that Atmos is just a layer on top of a particular audio codec. Most are on True HD but some (the ones used by streaming services) will be on DD+.

My guess is it has to do with Skia on that platform somehow. There is nothing in CoverArt that would intentionally remove color.

I don't think either ET or the MiBox (which is for me a no-go, as it did not even have a LAN port) will do everything that you ask for. You could try Kodi on Windows or LibreElec (you should prefer stable version) with the EmbyCon AddOn and the Embuary Theme, this looks and feels a lot like Emby Theater but Kodi has a very powerfull player and a lot of plugins (I'm using YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and more and there seem to be Kayo and Netflix AddOns available). It's not that great for LiveTV via Emby or music library via EmbyCon, but if you are using this, there might be other ways around it (for example using the native Kodi music library). I used ET (Windows), Emby for Android (smart phones, tablets, TV box), Emby for AndoidTV (TV box), Kodi with Emby AddOn (on Windows and LibreElec), Kodi with EmbyCon AddOn (on Windows and LibreElec), Emby on Samsung Smart TV (Tizen). I must say, the best experiences I had are the Samsung App (using on 2 pretty new TVs) and EmbyCon on LibreElec (on x86 Hardware) and this is what I'm using the most (besides Emby for Android on phone, tablet and cheap TV Box). I will try soon Emby for AndroidTV on that new MI TV Stick with a not so smart older TV and will see, how that works. Ciao, Alfred

You apply it in the custom CSS box on Dashboard-Settings. Note Custom CSS only applies to the web client via LAN/WAN connections it does not apply to online web client or any other app.

New request, ignore first post and add this CSS code to the shipping code. We don't really need the drop down as there aren't that many plugins and this makes things so much nicer!

Here are some simple append instructions using mkvtoolnix start up MKVtoolnixGUI drag the first part file into the window marked by the arrow the video, audio and subtitle tracks it contains will appear in the window underneath it Right-click on the File name of the first part and choose ‘Append files’. Navigate to the file for the second part and select it. Your screen should now look like the screenshot below. Note, how the filename for the second part is ‘indented’. Correct anything you need to like defaults, languages, etc ‘Start Muxing’

Hi. I'm not sure how "cheap" this box was but, yes, you are seeing some of the shortcomings of those types of devices. A $60 Mi box from Walmart is well worth it...

I notice this feature have been requested since 2016. The lack of this feature leads me to temporarily switch to Kodi(Emby Con) or sometimes Plex sadly. Almost all the modern media player supports this feature. This key feature, just makes me & others switch to Emby alternatives (workarounds). Eagerly waiting for this feature.

I know this isn't what you asked but here goes anyway: Get yourself a travel router and your devices off of the hotel wifi, preferably one that also has ethernet ports. GL.iNet makes nice ones for this purpose. Once you create a private network behind the hotel wifi then you can install Emby on any machine you own, connect it to your network and do the same with the Roku. You'll still have internet access, likely have better private wifi performance than the hotel and your devices will not be visible on the hotel network, only your router. Most work with captive portals so typically that's not an issue.

We can edit what shows on the home page; it would be nice to be able to edit which rows show in the item details as well. The things like "Next up" and "More like this" are of obvious utility for some people, but for others (or maybe I'm odd) none whatsoever. Next up shows a list of items, when, of course, only one is actually next (and it doesn't show the first unwatched, which I'd prefer, but the next after the last watched). And in my system, which has a lot of anime, but a fair number of films (including of opera and ballet), the More like this list could just as well be random - I can't recall that I was ever prompted by it to consider watching something (after all, I can already choose, I mean, I put all the media there, so I know my library better than the metadata providers anyway!). For me both these rows are just screen clutter. Paul
