  1. Hi Lumute.. QuickSync is a great step forward because it will allow you to use this feature on certain Intel series CPU/Processors, which means overall it will greatly reduce the load that your CPU normally has to handle while transcoding video files if you are able to use it in Emby. Essentially what happens is the Intel CPU will transcode the video on a special part of its hardware that is reserved just for this purpose, rather than using up the "normal" processor cores. The GPU equivalent of this would be something like Nvidia's NVENC technology, if you have ever heard of that. (This is what allows Nvidia GPUs to use the "Shadowplay" feature). Something to note is that Quicksync typically has to be re-enabled if you have a dedicated graphics card. This is because your CPU's onboard graphics are usually disabled by default if you have a dedicated graphics card. Once you have your CPU's onboard graphics enabled (either by itself or alongside your dedicated GPU), you should be able to use QuickSync if your CPU supports it.
