FordGT90Concept 61
It's "Emby Smart Player," not "Emby Theater." The interface looks like how Emby looks through a browser. These give playback error: Aurora - Fire in the Sky (PBS): Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 29.97fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1920x1080] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 448 kb/s)] Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration (ABC): Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 59.94fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1280x720] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 384 kb/s)] Christmas With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Featuring Rolando Villazon (PBS): Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 29.97fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1920x1080] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 448 kb/s)] These do not: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX): Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 59.94fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1280x720] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 384kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s)] Designated Survivor (ABC): Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 59.94fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1280x720] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 384 kb/s)] I thought stereo versus 6ch did it but Designated Survivor broke that mold. I'm really not sure what's going on. Edited January 6, 2018 by FordGT90Concept
Luke 37064
Emby Smart Player? I'm not even sure what that is. This might be @'s old app but i thought he had pulled it from the store.

FordGT90Concept 61
So? Dead end? It is what it is? No alternatives?
Luke 37064
On Windows I would use our Emby Theater app. You can learn more about that here: https://emby.media/emby-theater-xboxone.html Thanks !
FordGT90Concept 61
Only options in the store are Smart Player for Emby and Ember for Emby. Emby Theater doesn't show up. Because we bought Ember a long time ago, I installed that again and "Christmas With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Featuring Rolando Villazon" worked on it where it didn't work on Smart Player. Ember is not getting updated anymore either... If I'm supposed to see Emby Theater show up in the store and I'm not, that's something to look into fixing. Luke 37064
Is it Windows 8?
FordGT90Concept 61
Windows RT 8.1 I think. System architecture is definitely ARM. Edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_2 Edited January 6, 2018 by FordGT90Concept
Luke 37064
Ok, Theater requires Windows 10.
FordGT90Concept 61
So Ember is the best option and there probably will not be any more options?
Solution Luke 37064 Posted January 6, 2018 Solution Share Posted January 6, 2018 Yes I think it is unlikely we will go back and support Windows 8 at this point since we've gone all this time without it. Thanks.
