otsego_amigo 2
Hi everyone, I updated to DSM 7 without reading the migration guide first. After installing it, I found that Emby stopped working. So I downloaded and installed the latest version for DSM 7. All of my attitudes were gone. When trying to restore the backup, I was denied access to the path ("The path could not be found. Please ensure the path is valid and try again."). I also get this message when creating new libraries. Apparently the access rights are no longer correct since the reinstallation. Is there any trick to fix this? A user named "Emby" is not listed in DSM 7, so I cannot check permissions. Thanks
Solution FrostByte 5049 Posted July 6, 2021 Solution Share Posted July 6, 2021 Edit the permissions for the shared folder click the drop down and change to "System internal user". You should now see the new "emby" user, then give read/write permissions.
Carlo 4330
If I were you I would do the migration You should be able to pickup from the guide right after DSM 7 was installed.

It was enough to copy the data into the new directory and set the permissions via SSH.
