iOs & iPadOS cannot delete files

Hello.

I cannot delete files on Emby app, from iPad or iPhone, but I can from the web interface and the Emby app on an Android phone.

Logs show nothing about an error, the Delete operation is just ignored.

I've tried multi-select first, but I don't get a Delete option from the 3 dot menu on right-top corner.

Is there any information I can give to help checking the issue?

EDIT: Using Emby 4.6.3.0 on a Docker container, using Ubuntu LTS 20.04.2 on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Linux <hostname> 5.4.0-1038-raspi #41-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 17 14:14:11 UTC 2021 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Luís Nabais

Hi, thanks for reporting. It's resolved for the next update to the Emby iOS app.

When will the next release be Luke? I'm having the same issue.

We're working hard on getting it released as soon as we can. A simple workaround is to use the web app to delete on a temporary basis until the next update is out. Thanks

Not sure if this is related?  But a workaround if someone else notices...

Emby iOS client version 2.0.8 on iPhone10 -

  • Tapped- Downloads>Music>Album>...More>Delete>Delete Item Title - Are you Sure?>tapped 'Delete'

Result = No Delete

  • But if I tap in the client lower right "settings" > Emby for iOS Heading > Manage Downloads>... next to album name>'Remove download'

Result = Deleted

@deuce9498, I think the original post (or at least my problem) is regarding deleting the original source via the iOS client, not any local downloads that has been copied to the iOS device.

But maybe there is a bug regarding this as well :)

We'll be getting an iOS update out very soon. Thanks guys.
