andcbii 12
I know this is old news but I tried to do a search here and nothing came up. Trakt is switching to TMDB from TVDB. I've always used TVDB for my episode orders and now I'm starting to see issues where TMDB and TVDB differ, and trakt has switched the TMDB order. This means my sync from emby to Trakt isn't working. How are others dealing with this? Is there anyway to determine what's different between TMDB and TVDB? I don't want to switch to TMDB and then have a bunch of files show up incorrectly on Emby. Luke 37161
Hi, we already added support for tmdb in the plugin. Trakt is switching shows one at a time. Best thing to do is make sure your shows have a moviedb external id in the emby metadata editor. But yes ordering could be tricky.
andcbii 12
I should have been more clear. The sync between Emby and Trakt is happening and shows are being marked as collected. But for example Paw Patrol Season 3 https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/57532-paw-patrol/season/3?language=en-US https://www.thetvdb.com/series/paw-patrol/seasons/official/3 My files match TVDB. So I have 48 episodes in season 3. Trakt shows that I have 48 episodes, but it's not really matching with what I have because the order different from TMDB. So it thinks I'm missing episode 50 from TMDB, but I have it as episode 48. I assume others have faced this issue. For this show it's obvious what's wrong. But if TMDB and TVDB have the same number of episodes in a season just in a different order it would be really hard to find. Any suggestions on how to flip my season order to TMDB and figure out what might have changed incorrectly? At this point I'm thinking I'll have to create a new library that uses TMDB and manually verify and move over each show.... Lastly, anyone know how to tell which shows on trakt use TMDB vs TVDB? Luke 37161
Yea I understood what you meant and there's no simple answer for that at this time other than potentially updating your files to be based on Tmdb. Quote Lastly, anyone know how to tell which shows on trakt use TMDB vs TVDB? I've been wondering this myself but I have not seen anything.
paulsalter 84
Not an easy way to do a comparison, but https://trakt.tv/shows/paw-patrol If you look at the bottom left, it will say TMDB Comparison click on this and you will see a side by side page showing info from tvdb & tmdb (trakt have made a big mess of this show, it should not have been migrated with so many differences) https://trakt.tv/transition/tmdb/shows?trakt_id=57161 So far with things changing, I have only noticed a couple of specials with differences, so i live with it trakt did have an issue a month or so back where they migrated things that werent ready, paw patrol looks like an example of one
andcbii 12
Thanks for the replies. On the TMDB Comparison I noticed you can view all the shows in your collection: https://trakt.tv/transition/tmdb/my/shows
