Hi All,

I require some assistance please. I am experiencing playback freezing every few seconds. It does not make any difference even when I set the client to stream at 1Mbps the same happens.

Please let me know what additional information is required. Thanks for the assistance.

Emby server is running on Windows 10 and it is on the latest version.

Emby client is running the Emby android app on a chromecast with Android TV on the latest version.

Hi.  Lots of timestamp issues in that file.  How was it created?

Quite possibly.

You could also try to re-acquire a different version from "your friend" which might also work. :)

You do not have to re-encode. Just drop it into MKVToolNix GUI. Select all streams and simply remux. It is a compressed header issue or chapters at the end or several other rookie encoding mistakes. Some software comes default to ridiculous standards for headers. Use MKVToolNix GUI and you can remux the problem away. Let us know if this does not solve the problem simply remux.

Can you share the transcoding log?

All that would have done is change the container, correct?

It is now stream-copying the video so I suspect it is the player having the same problems that ffmpeg was before.

hI,

Thanks for the assistance.

I am having the same problem now with most files. Previously I was using a Xbox as the emby client and this was working fine. Even a week ago this was working fine on the android tv also.

What changed in that time period?  Any network or hardware changes?

No recent hardware changes.

There has been many software updates to emby, windows and android tv.

What I have now discovered is that movies seem to play fine but series is a problem. series is stored on 1 hard drive and movies is on another, i have run the windows error checking and the hard drive seems fine and it is also only about 1 year old.

All these files work perfectly fine when I play them on my iPad.

So I dont know, im completely lost.

Hi,

It is internal SATA, I have already run defrag.

Interesting thing is I just installed Plex on the same server that is running Emby and then I am able to play the same file with no problem.

Hi. Can you provide one of the problem items for testing?

Actually, before you do that, can you try moving one of the ones showing the problem to the other hard drive and see if that changes anything?
