PaulE123 18
Hi all, I've got multiple movie versions up & running away perfectly, I love the feature as it keeps things so neat and tidy. However, I've got a particular movie that I've several fan edits of, and I want to be able to show different text for the plot of each of these edits. Right now, it's showing the regular plot for all of the edits.....is there a way I can edit this, so the plot text changes depending on which version of the movie I choose? I tried overwriting the [PLOT] section in the individual nfo of each edit, but Emby doesn't seem to pull that info. Similarly, if I choose to edit the metadata of a given movie edit....the file path in the editor does NOT line up with the movie edit I chose. It seems Emby is pulling the plot info for one movie, and applying to to all versions. Is there any way around this? Thanks for any help!
crusher11 863
No. Emby's multi versioning was designed with different resolutions/bitrates in mind, not different cuts. This causes several issues, including this one.
PaulE123 18
Ah, that's a shame, albeit understandable. Perhaps the system can be looked at and made more robust in the future. Thanks crusher
Deathsquirrel 741
Instead of using multi versions, you can do this with each version in its own folder and then combine the cuts in a collection. I used to do that and it worked fine. I changed to using the multi-version approach when I decided I wanted easier navigation more than separate descriptions.
