How it is possible that DTS audio track is working on my LG CX

Hi all,

I know that LG CX does not support DTS audio track but how it is possible that this movie with this audio track is working fine on my LG CX?
The file has also TRUEHD audio track but this one is handle as should be and transform to AC audio with direct streaming

Can you post all the audio tracks for this file?  I suspect that there is TrueHD, DTS and then AC3

The LG player will keep trying audio tracks until it finds one in the file that is playable.  Unfortunately it does not report this so while it is true that it is DirectPlaying, it is playing a different audio track than was requested so we don't know that to update stats for nerds or the server.

That is why I think there is another supported audio track after TrueHD and DTS which it is actually playing.

So 'stats for nerds' info is wrong and tv is not playing dts?

Yes, that is correct, it will be playing the Polish AC3 5.1 track.

We can't fix stats for nerds as the LG player doesn't report this change.

If you are curious to prove this yourself, use ffmpeg or some other tool to copy the video and only the Polish DTS track to a new file and test it, even on a USB stick using the internal player it will fail.

For even more fun, make another file with the video track, Polish DTS track and English AC3 track, then it will actually play in English when you select Polish (just like audio language translator! )

Yes, would be great to have info what audio track is using or what  subtitles file is choosen for the player etc.
