Bug - Odd Characters with Artists

After playing around with best practices to manage my music media, I really went through and hammered out my ID3 tags and came across a bug as I was watching to ensure the updates worked as anticipated.

It seems if your artist have any odd characters in the name, even if the name is proper from MusicBrainz, it won't show up in MediaBrowser.

Example: Céline Dion

http://musicbrainz.org/search?query=C%C3%A9line+Dion&type=artist&method=indexed

The é appears to prevent any albums associated with her showing up.

Using Celine Dion instead has a similar problem because that's not the proper entry in MusicBrainz.

I don't have any Celine Dion, but Sinéad O'Connor works fine on mine... As does Björk

All my music is tagged with Musicbrainz Picard.

So I don't think it's a Mediabrowser issue?

Hmm,

Ok, the entry straight doesn't show up in MediaBrowser once it associates with the MusicBrainz entry.

Nothing on the MusicBrainz entry looks overtly wrong.

The entry actually existed briefly after I added the folder.

I've been watching all the other 345 albums currently associated in media browser and they are all coming up right, just not anyone from her.

Most odd.

I have posted / found instances of the following.

If mb3 resolves multiple different id3 tags to the same mbz id then...then..the albums belonging to all the different id3 tags do not show under the artist object.

Check you dont have celine with and without an accent in yr id3 tags.

I too dont think mb3 has any probs with special characters.
